Grout needs refreshing in the shower and the wardrobe door wouldn't stay closed so a bit of upkeep and maintenance needed. Quite a strong smell of food/cooking too so an airing probably needed. Breakfast service was great, food just needed a bit more care in the cooking for our liking. Overall, for the price and location, I'd still give this stay full marks"

The last 2 need their own sentences as they were the highlights: I’m a massive foodie and go out of my way to eat in the best restaurants wherever I go - there was no need to travel very far on either evening as the hotel restaurant food was unbelievably good. The menu was very creative and quite ambitious - but my, did it deliver. Every morsel of food from breakfast to dinner on both days was exceptional - in terms of quality of ingredients, presentation, flavour and consistency! Even though everything was sooo good, I would still say that the top highlight was the service! Everyone was so genuinely kind and friendly and just couldn’t do enough for us. I really needed to get some things inside and I was very distressed by the time my husband came back and finally got inside. The configuration of the bathroom is downright dangerous. A tiny tip, if you want the frig to work efficiently, it is a good idea to defrost it. The freezer was so frosted over we could not really use it.
