This gorgeous bolthole is set in the heart of pretty Ryedale, near Malton, in the Vale of Pickering surrounded by rolling countryside. Perfect for relaxing weekends, walkers, cyclists, a romantic retreat or a culture-filled experience with excellent restaurants and places to visit nearby.
The Granary comprises a spacious one bedroom cottage with a Vi-spring mattress on a super king sized bed, Egyptian cotton bed linen, antique pine furniture, art on the walls and a beautiful view across the open fields of the arable farm. It has a brand new eat-in kitchen (with new Nespresso Coffee machine) and a tasteful bathroom with a separate walk-in shower as well as a bath and White Company towels. The large sitting room has a wood burner for cosy evenings (logs included), a large sofa and armchair, fresh flowers, coffee tables, all furnished with the owners' art, antiques and collectables.
Set at the end of a private road off a country lane, this is unquestionably peaceful and idyllic in its setting and is full of character. It adjoins the main house at the very end of the property to ensure it retains its privacy but the owners are on hand to offer advice and local knowledge, having grown up in the local area.
It has a fenced and (mostly patio) garden, with table and chairs, stunning views across towards the North York Moors and a wood-burning brazier to keep warm or to use as a barbecue.

This part of the building has just three two bedroom apartments, each one finished to an extremely high standard. The building is situated just off Bootham on a quiet street, facing the historic ruins of St Mary's Abbey. First built in 1088 it is all that remains of one of the wealthiest and most powerful Benedictine monasteries in England.

Gallery Apartment is the ground floor apartment of this development and has been very thoughtfully appointed. The living area has a fully fitted kitchen with everything that you need, including plenty of storage space for all the tasty treats that you buy when you are out and about exploring. There is a dining table that comfortably seats 4 people. There is then a spacious, comfortable seating area with a sofa and Retro Eames Brown Leather Lounge Chair and Footstool, where you can sit back, relax and enjoy your time in the living area. The entrance is disgusting and the front door simply does not work properly. I was locked out for a couple of hours and a neighbour informed me that it happens all the time. I really needed to get some things inside and I was very distressed by the time my husband came back and finally got inside. The configuration of the bathroom is downright dangerous. A tiny tip, if you want the frig to work efficiently, it is a good idea to defrost it. The freezer was so frosted over we could not really use it. Despite some nice touches it was very disappointing."

- "surrounding countryside" - "Very easy to find and no problems with entry on either door. Flat was spacious and clean. Plenty of towels and tea/coffee. Fridge was a bit dodgy, freezer section needed defrosting as door wasn't shut properly when we arrived! Not a major issue though. Brilliant location for Malton centre. Plenty of steps to keep you fit but we knew that. We had no issues with sloping ceilings, Plenty of room. Lovely place to stay."
