Sleepy Creek is made from the logs of two authentic 1800's log cabins (from Kentucky and West Virginia) that were re-assembled and joined to make a very unique and comfortable vacation get away. This cabin is constructed of beautiful antique hand hewn poplar and oak logs, wonderful stonework, and metal roof. It is located on over 4 acres of wooded land with a beautiful stream running past the cabin through the entire acreage.

The interior features large rooms with (2) bedrooms and (2) bathrooms. The master is located on main floor (queen) and has a small private bathroom. Black walnut plank flooring, antique knotty pine paneling and soap stone block fireplace blend with newer components to set the stage for this cozy retreat. The second bedroom encompasses the entire upstairs (one double and two single beds) with vaulted ceiling and ceiling fans.

The rustic farm house style kitchen is fully equipped, but maintains it's country charm with period pieces, including an authentic turn of the century Hoosier Cabinet. There is also a separate laundry room. A 2nd bathroom is located downstairs. But the best part is the covered front porch. Relax to the view of the very noisy creek, rain on porch roof, and the many hummingbirds that frequent the cabin in the summer. Don't forget to enjoy a picnic or nap by the creek - benches, picnic table and hammock provided. A new fire pit for chilly evening outside enjoyment. From the cozy indoors with unique decor to the kitchen stocked with everything one would need to the wonderful bath items provided to the outdoor deck with amazing views, especially the beautiful sunrises and relaxing hot tub this cabin has it all. Total privacy was provided and in the evenings it was such a joy to grill dinner on the very nice grill, enjoy a glass of wine and to relax in the hot tub after steep hikes during the day. We didn’t use the fire pit however it looked like a wonderful place to sit at night and enjoy a fire. Even though I had my kindle with me for reading I chose to read two books provided in the bookshelf while there. Location is convenient to grocery and restaurants in West Jefferson and not that far from Boone. Courage Cabin gets my highest recommendation."

“Worth's Place" is located in the breathtaking Appalachian Mountains of Ashe County, North Carolina. This charming 1930's farmhouse sits in the locale of a "retired" 180+ acre dairy farm and is roughly 15-20 minutes away from Boone/Jefferson and 25 minutes from Blowing Rock. If you enjoy mountain scenery, hiking trails, or any outdoor activities, Ashe County is the place to visit!

Special Considerations: The farmhouse only has ONE bathroom and it is located INSIDE bedroom #1. We also only have ONE small television and it’s located in the living room! :)

Mostly private, country setting. This is the perfect location to catch up on some much needed R&R! Listen closely and you’ll hear the cows mooing, roosters crowing and the soothing sounds of the creek drifting by while relaxing on the hammock outdoors. Our neighboring counties, Watauga and Avery, have a few attractions worth mentioning. Tweetsie Railroad is open April-October and is a local favorite. My place, a custom build from HGTV-featured tiny house builder Randy Jones, is on a ridge with unparalleled, 270-degree views of Grandfather Mountain, all three area ski resorts, and on in to Tennessee and Virginia's Mount Rogers. We're located 20 minutes from Boone and West Jefferson, and closer than that to the Blue Ridge Parkway and New River activities like fishing and tubing. If you've considered downsizing, or you just want to give living tiny a try for a getaway, this is the place!

Please note that the reviews for this tiny house before 2020 are from its old location just down the road in Todd, NC. HomeAway/VRBO required me to start a new listing due to the change in address, though I got to keep the reviews. It's the same great tiny house, now with VIEWS!

The tiny house is in a quiet spot on top of a hill with just four other properties (a second tiny house on wheels and two small, stick-built cabins). Alone, the tiny house is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with a kid or two), and dogs. You can rent the whole mountain top for events. Combined, the four properties can accommodate 16 people.

The tiny house features wifi, a smart TV, a stocked kitchen with a real range and fridge. The spacious bathroom is stocked with toiletries and linens. There is a sleeping loft accessed by steps, no ladder required, and two sofas that convert to beds. The space is cooled and heated efficiently by a mini-split heat pump. There are lots of windows to enjoy your surroundings as well as a deck with a custom bench and table made from reclaimed materials.

In the event of snowfall, four-wheel drive and experience driving in snow is an absolute must to go the last 1/2 mile or so to the house. If snow is forecast for your stay and you do not feel comfortable trying to access the property, you will be offered a full refund. However, if you're feeling adventurous, you could definitely hike the last bit or maybe even catch a ride on a side-by-side ATV.

House is spacious and accessible. The driveway is gravel and there are thresholds at the front and back doors, but otherwise this home is fully accessible starting from the front walkway, to the arrangement of the furniture, to the master bathroom and back entrance, where grab bars have been added.

As you approach the cabin you will be struck by it’s picturesque setting. The exterior is authentically constructed from beautiful, antique, hand-hewn logs. This interior will not disappoint! You are greeted at the door by hickory plank flooring and a striking wood-burning fireplace. Complete with two bedrooms, the Master is located on the main level of the property, offering an antique queen bed frame and pillow-top mattress. (Please note that the frame and mattress causes this bed to be HIGHER than normal). The second bedroom and one-half bath comprise the second level of the cabin and house a double and twin bed. This unique cabin is the perfect fit for a couple or small family.

Newly installed central heat and air conditioning system will keep you toasty warm or cool and comfortable in any weather.

Outside, you will enjoy the covered porch with a seating area and a brand new state-of-the-art hot tub. Sit by the fire overlooking the view in a newly installed fire-pit area with six Adirondack chairs that are sure to keep you comfortable. Guests can now also enjoy the fully furnished guest house in the backyard which makes an excellent space for kids! This space is complete with an eating nook and beverage cooler as well as a cozy living room area with sofas and a large TV (Xbox compatible for those with an Xbox account). Additional Notes:
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.

No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.

Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of he deposit.

The open loft sleeping area above the living room has a queen bed, a twin bed and trundle, a TV, and a full upstairs bathroom. The lower level features a cozy family room with a game/puzzle table, couch, and TV. There is a bedroom with a full bed on the lower level and a twin day bed with a trundle in the family room area.

Beary Blessed Cabin includes wifi, central heating and air conditioning, paid TV programming and streaming options, and a washer and dryer. The gravel driveway has parking for two cars.

Not far from Boone and close to the town of West Jefferson, art galleries, restaurants, breweries, and a local favorite, the Ashe County Cheese Co. Guests will enjoy the peaceful quiet area. It is a great escape to the mountains.

Guests must abide by the Fleetwood Falls Lake Park community rules and practices while enjoying the beautiful lake and trails.
