Made up for all the problems with the condo: outside door with code wouldn’t open more times than not (I was locked outside in my pj’s one morning) The floors slope throughout the condo, wall outlets didn’t work on one wall in 2 bedrooms, so had to move lamps around and it was still very dark, hot water ran out after one shower and was not hot enough to begin with so we had to heat pots of water on the stove for baths.Mattress in master was hard as a rock and springs poke up on bunk beds. However, the living area with fireplace was warm and snugly with outstanding views and kitchen was nice. We enjoyed our stay despite the inconveniences."

But if skiing isn't for you, just take a quick drive to reach golf, tennis, hiking, rafting, bike trails, gem mining, antiquing, shopping and other nearby attractions. Because of this, it is required during the winter months that you have a 4WD or AWD vehicle due to snow and/or ice. There is no refund for not being able to reach the condo due to weather conditions.

We are located in the Village of Sugar Mountain, just west of Boone and Blowing Rock and only a few miles from the charming town of Banner Elk. Our condo is within walking distance of fun activities in any season: the ski resort (locker rental is included), skating, and tubing runs in winter; tennis courts and a scenic golf course from spring to fall, and mountain biking trails in summer. Other nearby attractions include the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, abundant hiking trails, zip-lining, The Land of Oz, Price Lake/Moses Cone and other popular spots along the Blue Ridge parkway. The nearby towns offer unique restaurants, shops to explore, live music and entertainment, multiple wineries and breweries, greenway trails, and farms. No matter what your interests, this location has it all.

Ours is a quiet end unit around a beautiful wooded lot with golf course views and a mountain stream, and is a lovely place for a retreat. Drive 5 minutes out of the village to find restaurants, shopping, and grocery stores, or stay put, relax and enjoy the sounds of nature from the covered deck.

The condo is tastefully decorated with a warm and inviting ambience. High-speed internet and cable TV will keep you connected, while the fully-equipped kitchen is inviting for cooks. The unit is on one floor with two roomy bedrooms and a living room with a pull-out sofa. The master bedroom has a connecting bathroom and there is a second full bathroom across from the guest bedroom. Both bedrooms contain TV’s and queen-sized beds. Guests will appreciate the easy entrance from the level parking area to the condo. Cross the short, covered walkway to the building, take two steps down and open the front door.

Six to seven people can sleep comfortably in 2BRs and a spacious semi-private loft. Both the master and guest rooms feature attached bathrooms, comfy King size beds with down-filled comforters, an array of pillows and blankets, ceiling fans and TVs. You may never want to get out of bed!
The loft features a full-size bed and a twin-size futon chair along with an attached bathroom. If you need to “work from home” or check in periodically with an office or clients, a handsome workstation is available in the loft. Wi-Fi is enabled throughout the unit and lighting is good should you need to be on video.

Chefs and family cooks alike will appreciate the fully equipped kitchen which features stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.
