This secluded and tranquil cottage on a 20 acre hobby farm is the perfect getaway. With walking trails from the back door to Abbott's Mill Nature Center on the adjacent property, it is perfect for birders, nature lovers, or just for a nice walk.
We are an easy 15 minute drive from the DE Turf Sports Complex on Rt. 1 north of Milford and 35 minutes from Sports at the Beach near Georgetown.
The cottage is small but feels spacious with a vaulted living room ceiling and open floor plan. There is lots of natural light with large windows throughout and french doors onto the beautiful screened porch. There is a gas grill just out the back door. The porch makes for wonderful indoor/outdoor living; deer can often be spotted in the wooded side yard or in the meadow out back. Wild turkeys show up occasionally as well.
The cottage is shaded and air conditioned for wonderful summer days and evenings and the radiant floor heat makes it cozy and warm in the winter.
Take a walk to the creek at the rear of the property or stroll through the woods to Abbott's Mill Nature Center. Abbott's is a 313-acre Nature Preserve and features trails open to the public, a preserved gristmill, a pond, meadows, an animal collection, and educational programs. This 3-bedroom 1 bath home has room for one or two families to spread out and take advantage of the short drive to all Delaware attractions including the DE Turf fields, beaches, Dover Downs and many more. It is adjacent to our home in a quiet community. This home offers an eat-in kitchen and dining area to seat at least 6-8 family members. 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds fill the spacious bedrooms. All modern amenities available.

The Frederica Family Home has a basement for kids to play fuse ball and ping pong. There is plenty of open space to walk your pet.
Frederica is a classic river town at its core. Home of the new sports complex, Delaware Turf. Frederica is a quaint idyllic spot to escape for a moment of quiet reflection by the water. It is nicknamed Frogtown because of its location near the wetlands (and their amphibian residence). Frederica is a former port site that has evolved into a charming Delaware village with gorgeous nature views and a warm welcoming community.

Guest access
Our guests will be able to access the entire house with plenty of parking. The garage is not available.

Other things to note:
Trash and recycle are collected at approximately 6:00 am on Mondays.
Quiet hours are between 10:00 pm-8:00 am.
Checkout is at 11:00 am. Please leave keys on the kitchen table, lock all the doors and take out trash. The house has a security camera attached to the garage.

Our cabin is located in the midst of our certified organic, working farm. We raise Black Angus beef and certified organic broilers. The cabin was hand built by our family and we look forward to sharing it with our guests. We're located in the country but only 15 miles from Delaware Turf and 30 miles from the Delaware beaches.

We are about 30 minutes to DE Turf and 45 minutes to the beaches. Because we are located on Rt. 16 [Beach Highway], it's an easy drive to Rt. 1.

This is a cozy 1 bedroom studio apartment with a full bathroom and small kitchen right in the heart of downtown Frederica, Delaware. Everything inside this apartment is new! Access is super easy via Wi-Fi lock and the apartment has its own private entrance so that you can come and go as you please.

This apartment is 2.5 miles to Delaware Turf Sports Complexans 30 miles to the beaches. Route 1 freeway access is only half a mile from this space.

New memory foam mattresses are included on all beds and hotel quality cotton sheets (The king bed is a comfortable 12 inch memory foam). There is a 65 inch HDTV with channels available via YouTubeTV. A desk (as pictured) with charging for laptop/devices or for eating a meal is provided. White noise machines are available at each nightstand if you prefer white noise while you sleep. This space is professionally cleaned after each use.

The town of Frederica does have two good restaurant options. Frederica Pizza and Pasta house is a short walk from the front door of this apartment and a great place to grab something to eat or drink without having to get in your car. Burgers & Brews is also a short walk and has live music most weekends (only open March – November). JPs on the Wharf is another great restaurant with live music on the weekends located 6.2 miles in the small fishing town of Bowers Beach.

On street parking is free and available. As always, please make sure to not leave any valuables in your vehicle & keep it locked.

NO SMOKING. Any smoking done in the unit will result in an automatic $500 fee.

There is a firehouse across the street from this space. Alarms are not daily and most are not during bedtime hours, however, full disclosure that there the chance of the sound of a fire siren.

3 bedroom 1 bath house cape cod style featuring great location for shopping, sports events and the race track. Has full size washer and dryer, towels and bedding. Kitchen has pots, pans, dishes for all your cooking needs as well as a dishwasher for easy clean up. Living room has plenty of seating with a couch and 2 love seats. Bedrooms have 1 queen bed in the master, a full bed in the 2nd bedroom and a trundle twin bed in the 3rd bedroom. - "Very clean, comfortable and convenient. Host is exceptionally responsive and gracious. We had 8 adults staying there for a wedding weekend and were quite comfortable with places to sleep and space to gather. The 2-1/2 baths allowed all of us to get ready for the wedding and get to the church on time :) Host allowed us to use the (very clean) garage to house my father's antique car so that it was shiny and clean when he drove the bride to the ceremony. Backyard is a pleasant and fun place to gather. We had our morning coffee club outside under the roofed seating area protected from the rain. "
