The Rental Space

The rental includes a spacious living room/kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need to cook and enjoy meals. You can enjoy dinner together at the dining room table, which seats four. The coffee table has board games under it that you can enjoy. Forget to bring a book for your trip? The TV stand has books in it for you to read. The TV is connected to streaming with ROKU. It's already signed in to Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, and Disney+. The TV stand has a built-in electric fireplace that you can use for cozy winter nights. There are two bedrooms both with queen beds. One bedroom gives you a view of the lake while the other gives you a view of the woods. The bathroom features a Bluetooth light that you can use to sing along to your favorite songs in the shower. The deck has four Adirondack chairs you can lounge on while enjoying a view of the lake.

The Backyard

The backyard is a wide open space that's great for yard games. We have horseshoe pits with horseshoes. We also have ladder ball, bocce, croquette, and Jarts. You can use our yard games or bring your own to enjoy. The backyard also has a firepit. You can admire the barn in the backyard, but we ask that you don't go inside of it. There was a leak in the roof and the floor needs to be repaired. There is a hot tub, grill, and dining table available on our deck, which your free to use, but that will be a shared space.

The Lake

Wall Lake is 540 acres and the average depth is 15-20 feet. Many of the residents enjoy fishing. We have steps going right into the lake. The lake ground around our frontage is sandy. We have 2 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, and a paddleboat available for guests to use. In the winter you can ice fish or ice skate once the lake freezes. If you're interested in doing winter activities on the lake, you can check in with us ahead of time and we can let you know if the lake is frozen.

Things To Do Nearby

Delton has the most inland lakes out of any other city in Michigan. You could stay for a week and try out a different lake each day. The rental is 15 minutes away from the Yankee Springs recreation Recreation Area. Yankee Springs boasts 30 miles of hiking trails across 5,200 acres. Allegan Event is a great place to take the kids or kids at heart. It's 30 minutes away from the rental and is the largest indoor ropes course in Michigan. Play a round of golf at the Gun Ridge Golf Course just 15 minutes away from the rental. Want to enjoy a night out in a city? You can take your pick! The rental is 30 minutes from Kalamazoo, 45 minutes from Grand Rapids, and an hour from Saugatuck. Visiting in the winter? You can cross-country ski at Yankee Springs. We are on Long Lake in Cloverdale, Michigan just North of Delton. Long Lake is an "All Sports Lake" with over 146 acres of clean spring water just over 3 miles long. Located between the cities of Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo, this quiet lake community is off the beaten path, yet close to so much and is the perfect way to escape to enjoy lake life. 🛶🎣🏖️

Inside the kitchen is fully stocked with everything: dishes, pots/pans, small appliances, etc and is a great space for gathering with friends and family. The spacious dining area has a nice sized table for meals or game night. The living room is large with lots of natural light and views of the lake, and a fireplace. The bathroom is roomy, with a full tub and lots of storage. The set up is similar to our other neighboring 2 bedroom cottages: 1 queen room, 1 twin/full bunkbed, and a futon in the living room. When it rains, no worries, we offer free wifi, a smart tv, smart dvd player, dvd's, and some games to entertain you and your guests.
Outside you can enjoy 100' of lake front on our enormous beach with a dock to anchor your personal or rented vessel, or enjoy the action from up above on the wraparound deck. Take advantage of ALL we have to offer...kayaks (adult & youth sized), paddle boats, paddle boards, cornhole, beach chairs, sand toys and floating rafts...and there's even a sandbar on the North end. You have your own deck/private gathering space, your own firepit, your own Weber grill with complementary propane and two smores stakes ready for your campfire. If you’re looking for space to kick back, relax, unwind and more...WE have great swimming, boating, fishing, and skiing - WE have IT ALL! The Wren house is a 1500 square foot remodeled A frame chalet overlooking Wilkinson Lake. Open floor plan with 3 levels. 3 spiral staircases. All towels, bedding and cook ware are provided. There is a large open area for those who wish to meditate or do yoga. Enjoy the stunning views of the lake through either the double sliding glass doors, the living room balcony or the skydeck. Many beautiful sunsets await you. There are 2 kayaks and a canoe available for your use. Spend time watching the Bald eagles and blue heron soar over the lake. Feed the squirrel, chipmunk and songbirds from the deck. You may even see the Beaver family out and about in the evening hours. Quaint, cozy cottage is a true treasure! While a lot of places on a lake are right next to each other, this property is a truly private oasis, set back in the cove, surrounded by trees and located on a dead-end road with only woods across the road. The cottage has been completely renovated and updated, and from the moment you walk in the door, the vibrant colors make you feel cheerful. We call it our "happy place." It has a welcoming mud room with cubbies to put your shoes, and hooks to hang your coats. There is a convenient washer and dryer in the mud room. There are two welcoming bedrooms, one with a full bed with views of the woods and tall pines, and the other with a queen bed with a view of the side yard. Both have ample storage space in the closets, bed frame drawers and nightstands so you can make yourselves at home. There is also a double futon in the front room and a queen sized air mattress for two additional guests. There is one full bathroom. There is a galley kitchen with built-in banquette seating in the dining room. The table is on wheels for easy access to the corner seating. The living room is very cozy with modern amenities, including a couch and love seat and swivel chairs to face the tv or the lake. It is tastefully decorated with metal and wood wall art and built in book cases filled with books and games for your enjoyment. There is a bonus room off the living room for reading and relaxing or just viewing the cove. A sliding glass door opens up onto the phenomenal 700 square foot deck that offers outdoor space with a grill and refrigerator and spaces for gathering, eating, relaxing and making life-time memories. Steps off the deck lead to a stone fire-pit with additional seating, and outdoor lighting to set the mood. There is also a dock with a small table and chairs to have coffee in the morning. Although pets are not allowed, there are enough creatures to keep you company. From the cove you can sit back and listen to the bullfrogs, watch the blue herons, and fish from the dock. Although we don't allow people to bring in their own boats to this private lake, there are kayaks, a pedal boat, and a small fishing boat with oars for use to explore the lake. The pedal boat holds 4 people up to 800 pounds and has a platform from which you can dive off of, and a ladder to climb back up on. You can also fish off the pedal boat. Also, it’s important to note that there is no beach or recommended swimming in the cove, but the pedal boat allows you to get to the open lake for a refreshing swim. There is also a "Point" on the lake where people can go to swim that is shallow and people also dock their boats or enjoy floating. This is truly an oasis. Looking forward to your visit. Cute 2 bedroom, 1 bath with a full kitchen, AC, heat, laundry room, towels, pillows, blankets, bonfire, dock, and more! One bedroom has a queen size bed while the other has a full size bed. We also have 2 queen size air mattresses to use. The Gazebo is perfect for enjoying morning coffee or relaxing at night. Fire up the grill or use the bonfire. We’re on the channel and have a dock you can use for your own boat or rent our pontoon (additional cost, please ask). Reel Time is a cozy blue waterfront cottage and will make time fly. Inside, is an open floor plan on the main floor. The main floor has one bedroom with a queen bed and one full bathroom. The living area has a recliner and a sofa that has 2 recliners built in. There is a fully functioning kitchen, a table to sit at, and an island that is great for food prep and people can sit around as well. By the kitchen and Living areas go out the French doors out to a large deck with beautiful views of the water. We also have a table out on the deck to eat and hang out at. The second-floor loft has another queen bed with bathroom, walk-in closet, and has view of the water from the large upper windows. There is a walkout basement with laundry area and a cool tv/hangout room. The cottage also has high speed wireless internet. The sofa in the tv room also pulls out to a queen bed for extra sleeping. Outside, you can loose track of time….if you have kids there is a giant sandbox that will keep them busy for hours. We have a few sand toys located in patio area for the sandbox. Kayaks and paddle boat available to enjoy on the water. We also have a pontoon boat available at an additional cost. Please ask if interested. There are a total of 4 lakes connected by channels for hours of exploring and fishing. We also have beavers and bald eagles on the lakes See if you can find their nests and dams or the trees they chop down. Back on land, after enjoying the day on the water, fire up the blackstone grill for supper. Enjoy a game of bags (corn hole) before relaxing by fire pit, gazing at the fire and the gorgeous water views while eating s’mores. We even have a outdoor hangout area for you to enjoy and a second refrigerator for beverages and/or extra food. If you are still outside as the night quiets down be prepared for the symphony from nature (bullfrogs and crickets).

If you want to venture out from the cottage there are many local activities that can be enjoyed by all. Below are just a few of them...

Local/small town shopping in Delton, Hastings, Plainwell, and others. Local restaurants and bars, Bittersweet skiing, several nature/hiking areas, historic Charleston Park, Gun Lake Casino, Gilmore Car Museum, Binder Park Zoo, and more.

We stayed during the week and barely saw any neighbors (though had a few very friendly chats with the guy next door), so we almost felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves and the swan family that we saw all day everyday! Our 3 and 7 yo had a blast playing in the sand and shore, swimming, fishing off the dock, paddle boating, making S’mores on the fire pit every night, and losing to Mommy and Daddy at bags. An additional day bed and/or a luxury air mattress available upon request allowing you to sleep 5 guests. The 2 twin -XL beds can be configured to a King size by the host with advance notice. A walk-in spa-like shower, full size washer/dryer, home office w/high speed internet, large closets for storage, central air-conditioning, fully stocked kitchen and coffee/tea bar will delight you in your home away from home. Accommodations include a large recreation game room: SmartTV, xbox, wifi, movies, comfy chairs, fireplace, refrigerator, air hockey and ping pong.

Bring your boat (DNR maintained public boat launch next door). There's plenty of room to park your boat trailer on-site. Or, contact a local boat rental company.
