I was told the sad news at midnight and so the next morning I asked to check out and go home for the funeral. The manager - Mrs. Mathe insisted that I pay for the full week. It took a lot of convincing to reduce her to paying for one extra night. I felt it was rude and very insensitive. It was a good solid 1/2 hour drive to Kitzbuhel (where we were ski-ing for 2 days)- but WAY more reasonable than staying in KItz. There was a river running right by our suite. I would certainly recommend this for a stay."

- "This is a world class hotel. Service minded, but without pretentions, with the austrian discretion and elegance. Very good location, just 10 min from the train station or the city center including the Hahnenkamm ski lift, but taxi to the lift is available from 8:30 to 10:30 as a courtesy. The room was very confortable, bed included with a large elegant bathroom with two sinks and both shower and a nice bathtube where you could relax when you missed the spa after-ski. The spa area is elegant and has two pools, two saunas all included in the room price. One of the pools has jets that are the perfect massage after a long ski day. The only suggestion would be a slightly higher temperature in the jet pool as more relaxing. The breakfast is great with fresh food, good local bread, omletts, fried eggs, cappuccinos, on demand and local dessert. Just perfect to give you energy before the slopes. And in the evening, you can have an esquisite dinner in the quiet and elegant lounge area without need to book a restaurant - the food is excellent. As it was the end of season and the resorts is at lower altitude, it was not top weather, first days were slushy on the slopes with hard packed snow. The following days came a lot of snow but it was foggy. Anyway, there were 2-3 days with sunny moments and relaxing time. The resort is almost empty and you have a lot of place on the slopes. I recommend this hotel and I hope to come back as soon as possible. Probably hard to book on high season. "

- "The Romerhof hotel is actuelly a wing of the Tenerhof hotel, only rooms/restaurant located 50 meter apart from the main hotel facilities, but... the hotel was very very nice, starting from the welcoming, on to the perfect service from all the stuff (especially the shuttel driver (with the glasses) which was so friendly and helpful. The breakfest was very tasty and almost perfect, more vegtables are needed. the breakfest serivce was perfect. The spa is well equipped and maintained with elegance touch - we enjoyed it so much. A warmer hot tab will make the experience complete. The rooms are big and sparkling clean, if you are planning to use the sofa bed for an adult, ask for a matress topper in advance as it isn't comfortable enough without it. The hotel offers a very convienient ski room and shuttel to the main lifts. The Romerhof restaurant (there is another fine dining restaurant at the Tenerhof building) didn't meet my expectations, it was too pricy (10 euros for 750 cc bottle of water for example) and I didn't enjoy the Schnitzel. Overall it was a great stay and we will surely return if we"ll visit Kitzbuel again. "

Google maps has the hotel up on a hill which it is not. It is close to restaurants and train station. The customer service was friendly until we had our daugter stay in our room due to an accomodation issue from another hotel. At this point the hotel became very hostle and insisted we were manipulating our stay. She didnt cause any issue other than our own inconvenience. The night before our departure the front desk was closed, the morning we left (which was early) it was also closed. We were not sure how to pay for incidentals. We left money in the room and then departed. We then received a nasty email stating that we crept out in the middle of the night and avoided our bill due. We were then threatened of consequenses to our so called action and must pay an additional 371 Euros.??? She claimed we stole robes which we never had not would be able to fit in our suitcase, pay for 3 nights for our daughters stay and local taxes. We unfortunaely had booked our room a night early and late by accident and therefore had already paid additionally for room use not ever used. We were neat and tidy and rarely there. It was unfortunate to have such a negative response to such a beautiful country."
