We paid extra for the large room and Mountain View not knowing that this also came sans any air movement so we had to keep windows open. But the rooms with this view are above the parking lot and the kitchen with constant noise coming and going, car alarms, and early morning delivery trucks that come every day. I would give this place 10/10 and make a point to return for a longer stay except I didn’t sleep the entire stay. I tried. I was exhausted from hiking. But it was too uncomfortable. I just couldn’t. And that made me very sad because everything else was magic. "

Our family-run hotel is located in a sunny, central location at the foot of the Leoganger Steinberge. - "My husband and I loved our 11 nights in this gorgeous house. I spent a lot of time looking at properties online before selecting this one and I am so pleased I did! The pictures online do not do it justice - it is much bigger than it looks in the photos, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two spacious living areas plus dining and full kitchen and an outdoor courtyard. There was plenty of space for the two of us to relax! It is in a great location - about 7 mins walk up Draper Ave to Pearl St for restaurants (make sure you go to Don Carlos Taco Shop and Cups cupcake bakery!) and the CVS, and another 3-5 min walk to Vons supermarket. About 7 mins walk to the beach to watch spectacular sunsets and 15 or so mins walk to see the amazing sealions and seals at La Jolla Cove. We both enjoyed running along the waterfront in the mornings and watching the surfers and wildlife. We also enjoyed the Farmers Market on Sunday mornings - about 5 mins walk along the street. This house was a great base for sightseeing in San Diego. We had a rental car and it was easy to get onto the freeway to travel into the city or to shopping malls. It is also just a short drive down La Jolla Boulevard to Mission Beach and Pacific Beach. The owner was very friendly and responsive when we had a query regarding the light switches. The house was very clean and well-maintained. It had all the amenities we required, including washer and dryer, iron, full-size fridge and oven, microwave, coffee machine, hairdryer, off-street parking...basically a home away from home! We will be recommending this house to friends and family traveling to this part of the world and will definitely chose to stay here again next time we visit San Diego."

In winter, you can easily reach the well-known Leogang-Saalbach-Hinterglemm ski area, which is a real paradise for snow fans, with the free ski bus that stops almost outside the door. The slope in the town, which is often open in the evening, can be reached on foot (200 m). But there are of course plenty of options for non-skiers too: well-cleared hiking trails, tobogganing, cross-country skiing and simply enjoying the peace and quiet.
In the other seasons, Leogang offers plenty of opportunities in the immediate area for active holidaymakers, but also for those looking for peace and quiet. Leogang is known throughout Europe for its huge range of mountain biking options. There are also various sights in the immediate area, such as Kaprun, Zell am See, the Grossglockner, the Krimml Waterfalls and not forgetting the beautiful city of Salzburg.
