BOAT- we offer a boat for rent for qualified house guests. It is a 5 day min rental for the boat. It is a brand new 2019 Sweetwater Tritoon pontoon boat.

ABOUT BASS LAKE
Bass Lake is 1350 Acres, up to 30 ft deep, swimmable, 8.1 mile lake road surrounding the water and is a fully motorized lake - enjoy tubing, skiing, jet skis (not included with rental home though - Sorry!) No wake after sunset!
There are two restaurants less than a quarter mile away so definitely within walking distance, a marina on the lake, a bakery, a beach - OR make the 10 minute drive to Culver and enjoy shopping, more beach, bike rentals, boat rentals, grocery shopping, numerous restaurants (LAKEHOUSE BAR AND GRILL!), golfing or walk the Academy grounds.

Local Attractions:
Bass Lake is a 12 minute drive to Culver, where you can shop, dine at tasty restaurants, golf, & visit your children at the Culver Military Academy. Golfing, biking, hunting, Knox Paintball field, Drive-in Theater, Tippecanoe State Park and a lot more.

- "This lake house was beautiful, but I wish I would have read the reviews about the road the runs between the house and the accompanying beach! We had hoped to put floaties on our littles and allow them to run around, but couldn’t do that with a road. It was very nerve wracking. It’s a busy road, too. Otherwise it’s a beautiful home. The steps to the back door aren’t to code, which made it difficult for my elderly mother to access it without help. The home is well-stocked and beds are quite comfortable. A/C works great. But, the water tastes “funny.” We brought bottled water so it wasn’t too big of a deal. Just something to note. Make sure you have the access code to the lock box saved somewhere besides your phone. Cell service is spotty, but thankful for excellent WiFi."

Getting Around:
Getting around is easy from our lakefront retreat! Free parking is available on the premises and on the street. For those flying in, South Bend International Airport (SBN) is approximately a 1-hour and 15-minute drive away. While public transportation options are limited in this area, the property's convenient location offers easy access to major roadways for exploring the surrounding region. Consider using ride-sharing services or renting a car to maximize your exploration of Bass Lake and the nearby attractions.

Or enjoy a shopping day at the famous Bailey’s discount Center only 6 miles away.

The Space:
2 story home has 1 bedroom & 1/2 bath on the main floor, large Master w/ en suite, 2 bedrooms, and full bath upstairs. Gorgeous eat in kitchen w/ table & seating for 6, additional seating for 4 at island! All sofa's and chairs in Family room & common area are reclining! Daybed w/ pullout trundle, large farm table also in additional common area. Outside you will find a Weber Grill, large deck w/ a sectional sofa & plenty of seating. Also, a table w/ seating for 8. Lounge under the pergola on the cozy daybed (& bar) and watch the sunset or head out onto the pier w/seating for 2 for your morning coffee on the lake. We also have a fantastic outdoor shower!

The Neighborhood:
Just up the street you will find our favorite restaurant, The Woodshed Tap. Also around the lake are Bass Lake Pub & Ristorante (try the pizza) and Scoops & Smiles. Culver is just a quick 15 minutes where you will find more of our favorite spots, The Lakehouse Grille, Cafe Max, and many more restaurants & shopping!

Bass Lake is the 3rd largest natural lake in Indiana, covering 1,300 acres. The lake is about 32 feet at it's deepest, the average depth is less than 9 feet. It is perfect for swimming, boating (rentals available at Culver Marina), and all sorts of waters sports!

Only 5 min walk to Bass Lake, and 10 min drive to Culver, IN and Lake Maxinkuckee. Approx 1 hour and 40 min from Chicago. 6 BR/ 4 BA spacious home with wood burning fireplace. Large front yard perfect for sports playing or sledding downhill. On top of the hill in back of the house you will find a gazebo with a large hot tub that can be enjoyed year-round. The Main Level has vaulted ceilings and large panorama windows viewing bathe beautiful landscape in front of the house. There is a fully stocked kitchen, large living room with a cozy wood burning fireplace, large dining area, 1 Master bedroom, 2 additional bedrooms and a main bathroom with tub/shower combo. The lower level walkout basement has a spacious family room with TV entertainment center stocked with books, games and activities. The lower level Has 1 master bedroom and 2 additional bedrooms, a kitchenette, a bathroom with wet sauna and laundry room with new washer and dryer.

- "Had our 3 daughters, 3 sons-in-laws and 10 grandchildren here for a long weekend. There was plenty of room for everyone and I Loved the huge family dinner table that allowed us all to sit down for meals together. We made every meal at the house and it was well stocked to enable us to do that. The garage game room was a great place for the older kids to hang out and the second fridge in there was a awesome since we had so much food! The deck and yard were huge, so that gave us plenty of room for games, bubbles, volleyball, etc. the bikes and kayaks were a big hit with the older kids and the lake was shallow enough for the younger kids to play in without concern. We loved the fire pit at night and being able to connect my music to the outside speakers was an added bonus. We had one water appliance alarm that went off while we were there, and the owner, Mat, was extremely responsive to resolve the issue. Thanks Mat! Overall, I would recommend this property for a family getaway as it offers all the things big families need to make amazing memories!!"

This space is located on the second floor above a two car garage. We do not park vehicles inside. We do not have to cross the street to get to the lake & we have some outdoor activities shared with our other homes on the property.
There is a recreation room with pool table, darts, couch, large screen tv, kitchenette with mini fridge, coffee pot & some glasses & small bathroom inside. *quite hours apply
Kayaks, paddle boards, canoe & row boat are free to use & shared with other guests.

Situated on the lake front, it was easy to let the kids (or adults) fish without packing everything/everyone up and relocating for a chunk of time. I would love to come back in Summer when the pier is in and the water warm so we can swim. Sam (the host) was very attentive and easy to contact even though they don’t live locally. The town is super rural and remote feeling. No high end grocery stores or cute shops. We were there for fishing and the eclipse viewing so we didn’t mind that so much. A few good restaurants though! One only a block away with an extensive menu! We would return!"

This home has been in our family for over 75 years, sitting on a hill overlooking the best part of Bass Lake. It can be your family and friends' perfect lake retreat too. The house has three spacious and comfortable sitting areas, a work area, dining room, a vintage billiard table, ping pong table, a cocktail room, sauna, washer and dryer, and much more. With five bedrooms, it is a perfect place to stay with a large number of guests. One even has an attached bonus room for little ones to sleep close by. For families specifically with small children, a porta-crib, high chair, baby gate, and potty seat are available. Coffee bar upstairs going out to the balcony for those who wake up early can sit in private and look at the lake.

Tremendous sunrises and sunsets can be caught from the front porch, back deck, private pier, or second-floor balcony. Off of the private pier, the lake is shallow to medium depth - perfect for swimming. Guests have access to a tandem kayak, standup paddle board, life jackets, floating noodles, a fire pit, croquet, bags game (corn hole), a gas grill, and more.

We offer a pontoon boat for rental for the entire length of your stay for those who qualify. We have tubes and skis for use.

There are four restaurants within 2 miles of the house, Wood Shed Tap, Bass Lake Pub & Ristorante, Scoops & Smiles, and The Brunch Pub.

Bass Lake is the fourth largest natural lake in Indiana that covers more than 1,400 acres. The lake is great for swimming and water sports. For bike enthusiasts, it is a great lake to ride your bike around measuring 8.1 miles. Near by is The Erie Trail which is part of the transAmerican routes for the Great American Rail-Trail, the northern branch of the American Discovery Trail, and US Bike Route 35. House has a beautiful vintage stove. The stove has been retrofitted with a guard for child protection. Oven only heats to one temperature of 350.

One of the cleanest properties I have ever stayed at...anywhere. Outdoors, the shed is stocked with so many things for outdoor/water fun and of course, we rented the pontoon boat. Bill, the owner, could not have been more helpful when it came to the boat and helped us with whatever we needed. Bill was wonderful to work with both during the booking process and during our stay and responded quickly to any questions or requests I had. Once we arrived, he corresponded with updates and check ins to be sure we had what we needed. Overall, we had the perfect week as a family. Our age ranges went from 5 to 70 and every single person had the best time. We hope to be able to stay there again in the future. We loved our time at the Breezy Cliff!"

The family area has comfy leather reclining furniture and a “lift chair” to relax and watch a movie after a day on the lake. The views of the lake and sunsets each evening are absolutely stunning. This home is all on one level and there is a concrete ramp to the patio in the back giving wheelchair access to this home plus a new concrete sidewalk to the pier. The master bathroom is equipped with grab bars and shower seat and accessible vanity.
We are directly on the lake and the flat yard is perfect for cookouts, campfires, or yard games. Bikes, kayaks, and cornhole game are provided for family fun.
Bass Lake is a shallow, Sandy bottom lake. The lake directly in front of our home provides a huge area of clean, quiet, and safe water for small children to enjoy.
The lake is also an all sports lake so bring your boat and enjoy tubing, wakeboarding, or just cruising.
There are several great local restaurants in the area, a drive-in movie theater, Tippecanoe State Park and just a 10 minute drive to Culver Academy and Lake Maxinkuckee. We also have many affordable golf courses within a 30 minute drive, Chesapeake Run in North Judson, Moss Creek in Winamac, Hamlet Golf Course in Hamlet and Pretty Lake Golf Course & Swan Lake in Plymouth IN.
