You will need a car to get around. We have plenty of parking.

The city pool in Hurricane opens May 15th and stays open through Labor Day weekend. It is a very nice outdoor pool with a snack bar.

Southern Utah is a bike lovers paradise! Bike out of the driveway, or take a quick drive to Gooseberry, JEM, or any of the other trails that are nearby (15 minutes from our home). The views from these world class bike trails are stunning and the weather is amazing, especially in the spring and fall, making it especially enjoyable for all day rides. Over the Edge bike shop is really close to our house, so you can get riding tips or trail advice or get things fixed quickly and easily by knowledgeable experts of this area.

There are some parades that come through town that are fun: July 4th, July 24th, and then Peach Days over labor day weekend. Each of these celebrations includes a festive local parade. They don't last long. People just set their chairs on the front lawn, and the parade goes by.

These great settings are perfect for a picturesque hike and a picnic! Make sure to check out the local ATV trails. LaVerkin is ideally situated between the little town of Panguitch and St. George. Get ready for an abundance of great scenery and a truly unforgettable retreat!

This historical property has been updated from the inside out. Built in 1904 by the Wilson family, one of the very first families to settle LaVerkin. It is one of the oldest Pioneer homes in all of Southern Utah.

La Verkin is a smaller town, but we liked being away from the hustle and bustle of commercial districts in Hurricane and St. George. It still had a great grocery store, coffee drivethru, and Indian restaurant within blocks. About 25 minutes to the Zion entrance which was outstanding. We also have a dining table that can accommodate 6 people. We Do Not have a kitchen sink, dishwasher, or oven. Who wants to cook and wash dishes while they are on vacation?

Our family room has a large and Comfortable sectional and a 50" Smart T.V. equipped with cable and WiFi. We also have central air and heating.

We have 2 bedrooms with a queen sized bed and a ceiling fan in each. One bedroom has a closet and 1 nightstand. The other bedroom has 2 nightstands and an armoire with a closet rod and drawers so you have a place for your clothes.

Looking for a serene, peaceful place to stay while visiting the National Parks? Look no further. Campsites full and want a place to shower and get out of the elements? We have you covered. Our bunkhouse units are set up with two per building and a connecting door to accommodate larger groups. Each private bunkhouse has a king sized bed and a set of bunk beds as well as a private full bathroom. The units are accessible using a keyless entry system. Details are sent electronically two weeks before your arrival date. Each unit has a high efficiency A/C and Heater, Wi-Fi and a Roku TV- so be sure to bring your logins with you! The kitchenette is equipped with a full size fridge and microwave. For your convenience there is also a blender, crockpot, toaster, rice cooker, coffee maker, electric water kettle and dishes/utensils for four guests. There is no oven or stove, however, we do have an outdoor communal food prep area where you can set up your own camp stove or use one of the several charcoal or propane barbecues onsite, on a first come, first serve basis(propane is provided, charcoal is not). Outside you will also find a fire pit (available seasonally), hammock posts, and picnic tables under our large cottonwood trees.

Guests have access to all of the grounds, barbecues, large parking area, bird feeders and hammock posts.

La Verkin is a small town located about 20 minutes from the entrance to Zion National Park. We have a grocery store, a couple of gas stations and an excellent coffee shop. We are located next to Hurricane, which has a Walmart, movie theater, restaurants and more. If you need more than that, St. George is about 25 minutes away.

You will need a car to get around. We have plenty of parking.

- "We wanted to visit Zion and Bryce Canyon without breaking the bank, and staying here made that possible. Loved that they had a full sized fridge and freezer, a cooler we could take out with us, a rice cooker, a slow cooker, etc. We used the grill everyday so we could save a bit and not have to eat out. They donate extra food to a local food bank if possible or feed it to their chickens (not on site sadly, but the neighbors have sheep!). Some things you may want to pack or buy- foil for veggie pouches etc on the grill, Tupperware containers for leftovers, preferred seasoning (they have salt and pepper), preferred coffee (they supply some but we didn’t like it). They have a shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispenser in the bath. I have a bad back and the king bed was fine for me. Mother in law slept on the bunk and she didn’t have any complaints- bunk mattress is thin but seems to be memory foam, so a bit firmer than the king bed. Plenty of blankets for us. Loved having a ceiling fan, a/c was cold and easy to change settings when too cold. It’s just under a 30 minute drive to the Zion south entrance, and about 10 minutes off I-15 to get to Bryce Canyon or Vegas in 2 hours. Really cool place overall and we will definitely be back."
