Enjoy the peace and quiet sitting on the large terrace with a good book, away from the hustle and bustle of the beach and towns. Fall asleep at night listening to the sound of breaking waves far below. If you need some variety, there are many interesting medieval villages to explore in the area. A boat trip to the Aeolian Islands and Stromboli is also recommended. Or just spend a lazy day at one of the many beaches. Pia and Tom kindly met us at Belmonte Calabro train station so we didn't have to rely on sat-nav/GPS to find our way to the house. They gave us a tour of the house and gardens, and made sure we had everything we needed before leaving us to relax for the evening. Casa Fiori is spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It's tastefully furnished and has everything needed to be a real home from home. The living room and bedrooms are well appointed and have a/c and heating should you need it. The bathrooms are modern and fitted with excellent showers. The kitchen is very well equipped and enabled us to buy food locally and cook at home, which was very welcome after 3 weeks of eating out. The outside spaces are great for unwinding and enjoying the stunning views and peaceful surroundings. The local beaches and towns were quiet (in May), but nice to explore. The steps up to the Centro Storico of Amantea are worth the trek, especially for the excellent Gelateria on Corso Umberto I. The towns of Pizzo and Tropea are only an hour/1.5 hours or so away by car, so make good day trips. Pia and Tom have worked very hard to create such a wonderful place and are such natural hosts. We wholeheartedly recommend Casa Fiori and would love to return."

After parking their vehicles in the square outside the former palace baronial JUDGE bordered by particularly uphill cobblestoned (all called to silica, where the men of the place, most of them fishermen, in the days or hours not useful "to throw" their boats at sea, were standing and sitting or lounging in the classic crouched position) just slip into the tight turn and walk about a hundred meters to a few tens of steps to be in front of a peculiar door with three steps: this is the house called the PALUMMIELLI (which takes its name from the village furthest from the center of the country) restored with painstaking attention to detail in the most absolute respect for its originality. There is a connecting entrance with a small corridor announcing the kitchen living room with fireplace and bathroom and large terrace with outstanding sea view and delightfully transformed into a place of total relaxation. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with bathroom.
