This is a great vacation home on the perfect Poe Creek! The house has 3 floors with great views on every floor. A renovation and addition was completed on the house May 2016.

Big spacious 2020 Benington 25’ Tri-toon with a 150 h.p. Yamaha engine available to rent. It can fit up to 14 people. Bluetooth stereo, fish finder/depth gauge, ski bar, table, bimini top. Boat includes all safety equipment including life jackets. Local rentals charge $2,000+ week, this boat is available at $1,500 per week (summer season rate) and at the dock when you get there! The boat rental fee for off-season months is $250 per night and is required for the entirety of your stay- no partial rentals. Boat rental is available March-November. The boat is not included in the rental fee, so please make sure to inquire about adding on the boat rental if you choose to. If you choose to rent the boat, you must do so for the entirety of your stay.

MAIN FLOOR is an open floor plan with a 47' LCD TV, Blu-ray player, open family room, updated kitchen, full bath and 2 bedrooms (one queen bed, one king bed). The main deck area off the house is on this floor with a 480 sq. ft. screened in porch and gas grill.

UPSTAIRS: Has 2 bedrooms and a full bath. The master has a beautiful view of the lake with a queen bed. The other bedroom sleeps 6 in bunk beds.

BASEMENT: Has a pool table with a convertible ping pong table, large flat screen TV, blu ray DVD, large leather sectional, 2 bedrooms, full bath and the laundry room. One bedroom has a king-size bed and the other has a queen-size bed and a bunk bed. Added in May 2023, Multicade Arcade Machine with Pacman and 40 other games. There is also an additional refrigerator for use in the basement.

OUTSIDE: The boat house was rebuilt in March 2017. The boat house has a covered area with two boat lifts and a slip to the side to tie up a 3rd boat or jet ski. There are 4 kayaks and 2 paddle boards. The boat lift, kayaks, and paddle boards are available for use. The main deck on the lower level is spacious and has a covered picnic table and a diving board. The swimming area is private and protected from boats by the neighboring property. The water is shallow at the bulkhead for younger children to stand in and swim and the water at the end of the dock is 12 feet deep for the diving board and jumping off the top deck.

Pickleball Court beginning in September of 2024. We have made a Pickleball Court in our cul-da-sac (see pictures). Renters are required to provide your own net and racquets and balls.

There are 2 marinas on the lake for gas, good food and boat rentals. This house is honestly one of the best coves on the lake!

The boat ramp is about 7 miles away from house. Take highway 158 toward Roanoke Rapids. Turn left onto Myrick Estates Rd and then right on Bluebird Rd which will take you to the ramp.

- "Our family loves this home in Poe Creek Cove! The house was clean and equipped with everything our family needed for the week. The location was perfect for swimming, jumping into the lake and riding jet skis. The owners were responsive and left very clear instructions. Our family of 10 had a perfect week at the lake!" - "The home was perfect for our inaugural three generation family vacation that included 8 adults, 1 teen, a 3 yr old, and 4 children under 3 including a newborn. We did have 2 disappointments in that a spa/whirlpool/hot tub was not an on-site amenity nor was there a sandy beach. The kitchen sink was very difficult/tricky to completely turn off and should be attended to considering the sensitivity of the septic. But truly, it is a lovely property, spotlessly cleaned, and very comfortable! We also enjoyed the 2 paddle boards (included with the kayaks) and we rented the pontoon boat from the owners as well. The boat was perfect for our family, too! Nearby Goat Island provided the sandy beach we wanted for our littlest people; be sure to visit there during your stay!"

Enjoy our home with panoramic view of widest part of lake. You can relax either on the huge bilevel main deck behind house or on the roof deck of boat dock. We have 2 community boat ramps, as well as a pool, a playground, additional day slips for boat docking, and a club house within walking distance at the Wildwood community area (free for renters).

Our home is set up to accommodate families. It is designed for 6 adults and the rest kids. There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor. The master bedroom has a king bed and large sitting area in front of windows with view of lake, and the master bath has a soaking tub and separate shower. The guest bedroom has a queen bed, and there are 2 twins in 3rd BR.

The bottom floor has a queen in one BR and 2 twin beds in another BR (perfect for kids). There is a large game room on the bottom floor with fun bamboo tiki bar, table tennis, foosball, and a game table. Also on the bottom floor is a large media room with 58 inch flat screen smart HDTV. The house is ideally set up for 2 or 3 adult couples and the rest kids but no more than 10 total persons at any time.

Sandy beach area with 4 kayaks and 3 paddleboards provided. Make family memories while paddling, boating, wakeboarding, skiing, and swimming in the lake right behind the house. See incredible sunsets while grilling out.

We can accommodate 1 boat in covered boathouse and tie off to cleats, no boat lift.
Only 1 boat allowed - this includes jet skis. The covered boat slip is 9 feet wide and 23 feet long . No large boats.
We share a double boathouse with our neighbor and our half is the left hand side with private boat slip and upper deck.
We do not allow jumping off of top of dock for safety reasons.

Great central location on lake just around Wildwood Point from Lizard Creek. Near Goat Island (must do boat stop), Pea Hill Creek, Stonehouse Creek, and the Eaton Ferry Bridge.

Located in northeast quadrant so area conveniences within 1 mile include Food Lion, gas station, pharmacy, movie rental, restaurants, Ace Hardware, Dollar Store, NAPA auto, boat store, ABC, and drive through ice vending machine. There is a new jet ski rental business at entrance to neighborhood.

Nearby are churches, a plant nursery, golf course, mini golf, Farmers Market, and flea market. Our house is a good base for a visit to Rosemont of Virginia Vineyards and Winery.

The house is directly across the lake from Stonehouse Timber Lodge Marina with ethanol free gas, boat rentals, and bait. It is a short boat or car ride to the Pointe Restaurant and Morningstar marina with docking, gazebo, boat rentals, and live music and the Waterview Restaurant (both with docking facilities).

The house has monday garbage pick-up with 2 trash bins. We also have spectrum cable bundle high speed wifi, tv, and landline phone. We have county water supply, so no smelly well water.

New to rental market in 2015; we are consistently upgrading and adding features.

The house has a joyful feeling of being in the country away from it all with all the conveniences and luxuries of modern living: wifi, trash pickup, city water, cable tv, community pool (in season Memorial to Labor Day).

We are renting on a weekly basis from Sunday to Sunday. Check in time is 1600.
Dogs are welcome with a non-refundable pet fee of $125.00 per dog. Please provide details about dog(s) to owners.
2 dog limit unless alternate arrangement made with owners. No cats please.
Dogs must have up to date vaccinations and current flea treatments and be acceptable to us the owners and renters must clean up after their dog.

This is our second home and we have set it up nicely. We are looking for renters who will treat this like their own home and take care of it; we in turn will provide the opportunity for a great wholesome family lake experience. This is not a fishing cabin or a fraternity type house or party type house. There is no parking on upper lawn due to septic drain field.
Due to neighbors there should be no loud outdoor noise after 10 pm.

This waterfront Lake Gaston home has wonderful views and an excellent location to enjoy on your vacation. The home is 2400 sq ft with new carpet and all new furnishings. Very comfortable from the moment you arrive.

Top floor there are two bedrooms: 1 queen and 2 sets of bunk beds, with 1 full bath. There is also a desk in the loft area for those who need to work from "home".

Main floor has living room, dining area, full kitchen, full bath, and Master BR (King) that opens onto deck. Living room opens to lakeside deck with new weber gas grill, dining table and outside seating.

Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils and cookware and BIG refrigerator. We also have a coffee pot that allows for traditional brewing or use of individual pods!

There is a flat screen TV and in the living room and rec room.

Downstairs there is 1 queen bedroom, 1 full bath, and a rec room. The rec room has a pull-out queen sleeper sofa, TV, and a few games, books, games and a table for eating or games. There is a covered patio off of the rec room with a large picnic table and swing! There is also a laundry room in the basement with washer and dryer. We also have cornhole boards, camp chairs and tongs for roasting marshmallows or hot dogs in the fire pit.

The water is approximately 4.5 ft deep at the end of the boathouse. You have plenty of area for a boat. There is great fishing is right off the dock. For the sun lovers there is a large open deck and for those who would prefer the shade, there is a covered seating area. There is a canoe and kayak and some life jackets available for your use. We are in a wide cove a short distance from the main lake and Eaton Ferry Marina. The private neighborhood boat ramp (no fee) is literally next door to our property!

We are in the middle of Lake Gaston putting you close to all activities including the grocery store which is just 10 minutes away.

- "Great location, great property, beautiful house!" - "We had a family group of 11. Even though the weather was a little on the cool side, the water was very warm. We made use of the paddle boards and spent a lot of time on the dock fishing and just hanging out. The layout of the house accomodated all 11 of us comfortably without feeling crowded. Our dock is equipped with a boat lift (6,000 lb capacity) which is available for use at your own risk. Additionally, we provide six (2 small 4 big with one being a double) kayaks for your enjoyment. The depth off our dock is over 6 feet and quickly deepens, making it suitable for diving and jumping from the dock itself; however, diving or jumping from the boathouse is not permitted.

Please note that while the boat lift cannot accommodate pontoon boats, they can be securely tied up to the dock. For added convenience, there is a private boat ramp within our neighborhood, approximately one mile from the property, which is available for your use as our guest. Further details regarding the ramp and other amenities will be provided in your reservation packet after booking.

Situated on just over an acre of land, our property also provides ample space to securely store your trailer during your stay, whether for a weekend or a full week.

The landscaping is currently a work in progress. While the path leading to the water and dock has been extended, ongoing water erosion has necessitated its reconstruction using cement for durability. Portions of the walkway remain incomplete, and we plan to finalize the work during periods when the property is unoccupied.

We provide both a propane grill and a propane smoker for your use during your stay, with the propane cost covered by us. In the event the tank is empty upon your arrival or runs out during your stay, we will gladly reimburse you for swapping the tank. Simply send us a copy of the receipt, and we will process the reimbursement via Venmo.

The neighborhood has very strict rules regarding noise in place. Please kindly respect our neighbors. We have zero tolerance for noise or disturbances. Quiet hours are strictly enforced.

Pet policy:
We welcome dogs only, with a few guidelines to ensure a pleasant stay for all. Pets must be at least 6 months old and pre-approved, accompanied by a $150 non-refundable cleaning fee per booking.

Dogs are allowed on furniture (sofas, couches, beds, etc.), but protective sheets must be used to maintain cleanliness. Pet supplies, including blankets, sheets, and towels, are conveniently located in a designated area in the garage. These items must be washed and returned prior to check out.

We kindly ask that you clean up after your pets and note that you will be responsible for any damages or additional cleaning required. A maximum of two pets is allowed, with additional pets requiring prior approval from the host along with an extra pet fee (discretion of host).

Imagine everything you ever wanted in a vacation home with breathtaking sunset and main lake views! You and your kids can jump off the top of the boathouse into 10' Deep Water! Get a tan in a chaise lounge on top of the boathouse while monitoring the kids as they play on the water mat or trampoline. Enjoy a cold drink at the bar in the shaded area under the boathouse deck and you won't believe the photos you will be able to take of the breathtaking sunset and the main lake from the top of the boathouse. While you watch the sunset, enjoy appetizers at the many deck top tables. Have a seat around the counter at the deluxe outdoor kitchen while grilling, listening to music and grab a cold drink from the fridge. The house is located just off the main lake with a gently sloping lot to the water and boathouse. Deep water off of the boathouse. There is easy boat access to Goat Island and the main lake with no bridges or culverts to navigate.

The home is conveniently located near Littleton, NC with Piggly Wiggly, Dollar General and a few restaurants. Roanoke Rapids is only 13 miles with Food Lion, restaurants, shopping and medical facilities.

BED LINENS ARE PROVIDED. Bring your own towels (bath and beach), 13 gal trash bags, small trash bags, dishwasher and laundry detergents, toiletries, and paper products. Bed info if you want to bring your own sheets: 1 king bed, 6 queen beds, and 4 twin bunk beds.

Cottage on Lake Gaston with shallow water for wading, boathouse, and kayaks, floats, paddleboards & small canoe readily available. A pool and playground are available for guests 1-2 miles away.
Although the house is older, the kitchen was remodeled in 2021,bathroom updated in 2023, upstairs freshly painted, powder room redecorated in 2024, and carpets, draperies, etc. added very recently. You'll enjoy a large, covered porch with water view, new TV's in both family room and owner bedroom, and family board games added for the occasional rainy days. We also offer corn hole, for family fun.
The home is situated on a heavily wooded lot ,so a hardpack walkway to the water has been added for comfort.
Child gates are installed at top of spiral stairs, and home sanitized according to CDC suggestions.
A book of nearby attractions, restaurants, and safety suggestions is available.

Boat Lift Information:
Two aluminum ladders to enter and exit the water. One ladder has gradual stairs with handles to help the grandparent's knees. The jet ski lift will accommodate two jet skis. We have another open bay with no lift. The experts recommended that another boat be stored and tied inside the open bay. Please drop the bumpers from your boat onto sides and tie your boat to the four posts for stability. You can also tie boats to the dock in couple spots.

Use of dock and lift is at your own risk.

The house is located in a great neighborhood at the end of a culdesac. The neighborhood is called Tangle Oaks. We have a quiet private drive with plenty of parking space.

Pets: We are pet friendly and still considering whether to accept all pets. Pets need to be approved and are subject to an additional fee of $250.

Biking/Running: I recommend that you leave our neighborhood and run or bike to the left. The kids love checking out the farms with cows and horses. There are a few great neighborhoods at the end of the street that are quiet and perfect for a run or bike ride.

Our home has 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. It sits on a quiet cove on Lake Gaston. The main floor master has a king size sleep number bed and full bath with tub and shower. There are three bedrooms on the second floor with queen beds and 2 full baths with tubs. The 5th bedroom is on the 3rd floor where we have a queen futon with a single bunk overhead and a twin size day bed with a twin trundle. We have an open living/dining/kitchen area which leads to the sun room all of which have great lake views. A large gas grill is available for your use. We have an air conditioned game room with a pub style ping pong and shuffleboard table. We have a corn hole set for your enjoyment and a fire pit for those cool evenings. We have 3 kayaks and 1 canoe with paddles and PFDs for your use. We have several rafts for all ages. Spectrum high speed internet and YouTube TV are available. We have 4 TVs in the home. A starter supply of paper products is provided. We have a washer and dryer and laundry products are included in your rental. We also provide linens at no extra charge. Lake Gaston is one of the premiere fishing lakes in North Carolina and Virginia. Bass, stripers, walleye and catfish make this one of the top fishing destinations in the eastern US. It also provides many coves and backwaters for canoe, kayak and small craft anglers.

The cleaning lady adamantly claimed that she had cleaned it earlier but the tray under the grates was very dirty. Welcome to our one-of-a-kind getaway on Lake Gaston! Our home is located on the main channel of the lake near Pretty Creek in a quaint and quiet community perfect for a serene morning or evening walk. The house is a few lots from the local marina making getting gas easy and convenient. In addition, our home is just minutes from local restaurants, boat rentals, Food Lion, mini-golf, ice cream, coffee shops, hiking trails and so much more. Our home also boasts a large gravel driveway with a roundabout for easy and roomy parking.

Have fun on the lake and enjoy the sun and breathtaking views on our dock which has a depth of 6' to swim and float around. Our dock is equipped with one ladder and one set of stairs for easy access to the lake. The dock includes an outdoor shower, storage room STOCKED with 3 kayaks, lake toys including large inflatables, floating mat, hammocks, water guns, pool noodles, footballs, etc as well as lifejackets for your convenience. You can also safely stow your boats and PWC on the right side of the dock or anchor them next to our bulkhead. There is a FREE boat ramp only an 8-10 minute drive from the house located at Salmon's Landing.

Our home offers the most incredible views on the entire lake with a visibility upwards of 4 miles making it easy to see the passing cars on Eaton's Ferry bridge from the comfort of our sunroom, kitchen, and dock. Along with the view are multiple amenities which INCLUDE a large fire pit, gas & charcoal grill & smoker, pool table, spike ball, spacious dock, multiple smart 4k TVs, lake toys, board games, and all the kitchen appliances you could possibly need.

The kitchen is loaded with an abundance of appliances including a large double oven and all of your culinary needs which include a Keurig coffee maker, microwave, toaster, blender, ice maker, plates, bowls, glasses, cups, silverware, cooking supplies, utensils, and more! When you arrive all of your beds will be neatly made courtesy of our LINEN SERVICE.
