Relaxing 2 bedroom/3 bath + an extra bed in room off of living room - sleeps 6. The house sits on a lakefront property with a large backyard, grill, 2 new patios, and a private dock with canoe, kayak, lake floaties, life jackets, fishing poles, hammock, and kids climbing structure.

We are including pictures of the downstairs as this has remained the same. Some furniture will be updated but the long dining table, chairs, work desk and couch remain the same. The second floor of the house was fully renovated in 2024/25. We are still completing the master bath. We will be posting updated pictures of the upstairs shortly but if you would like more details, please message me.

This place truly is a little slice of heaven. As soon as you walk into the living room you are met by a breathtaking view of the lake and behind you sits an incredible fireplace. The fireplace works; we ask that only duraflame logs are used. The kitchen is fully equipped with plates and dishes for up to 6 people. Work from home desk in the sunroom overlooking the lake with a sit down / standup desk option. There is one bed on the the first floor in its own room off of the living room. This room does not have doors so it is not fully private but it is a step up from a pullout couch as you do not need to convert the living room into a bedroom. This downstairs room has a full size bed. There is a full bathroom on the first floor with toilet and shower.

Upstairs on the second floor are two new bedrooms, both with king size beds. The master bedroom has three large windows that overlook the lake. There are also two new bathrooms, one with a shower over a soaker tub and the other with a beautiful stand alone soaker tub and a large separate shower.

The house has driveway parking for up to 3 cars. Lots of walking trails that can be reached from the house. Downtown Essex is only a short bike ride or 5 minute car ride away.

For anyone with children, we offer a pack n play upon request. We also have a high chair, safety gate, a set of toddler dishes, an indoor play tent, balance bike, and lots of toys. We have an extra child size blow up mattress upon request.

For anyone looking to work from the house we have an Uplift work from home desk located in the sunroom overlooking the lake.

We have a yoga mat, light weights, and exercise bands for anyone that enjoys a workout at home. Yoga overlooking the lake is truly wonderful!

The lake is a wonderful place to visit any time of year. Lots of charming towns to visit nearby. Swimming and boating in the summer, ice skating and ice fishing in the winter. Boston is a 45 minute drive or an hour by train. The train station is 15 minutes from the house in Manchester-by-the-sea. There are several beaches close by, including the famous singing beach in Manchester. The house is a 5 minute drive from the local restaurants and brewery in Essex, including The James which is family run and looks forward to hosting our guests! Several grocery stores 15-20 minutes away.

Villa Fiori in scenic Manchester-by-the-sea is a short walk from local Black & White Beach and a 3 minute drive from the famous Singing Beach! Perfect for family reunions and group vacations. Only 45 minutes from Boston by train or car.

The unique Villa Fiori was designed by the same architect as the world renowned Isabela Stuart Gardner Museum in Boston as a wedding present from a father to his daughter in 1896. The historic mansion was updated over the years.

When you walk into the house you are greeted by an Italian style courtyard and grand stairway. The first floor features a formal dining room with a sunroom attached, a large eat-in kitchen with double ovens, two dishwashers, a Miele 6 burner stove top, and back porch with two grills. Perfect for entertaining. Also, on the first floor is the classic and cozy walnut paneled library filled with books and games. It is furnished with a bar, wine refrigerator, a card table, and ample seating around the fireplace and tv. The library opens up to the patio and garden. The outdoor furniture and fire-pit sit above the large lawn. The formal gardens and the surrounding woods give a sense of privacy belying the close proximity to downtown Manchester and Gloucester. Finally, there is a powder room off of the courtyard and off the back hallway there is also a laundry room with a washer, dryer and iron.

The second floor features two master bedrooms with queen sized beds and baths, two suites with double twin beds and baths, two bedrooms with double sized beds, one bedroom with a queen sized bed, and one bedroom with a twin bed. There are four full bathrooms on the second floor and one half bath that serves the third floor.

The third floor has two bedrooms, the larger featuring a queen sized bed and the second room has two twin beds.

During the summer months relax on our patio in the comfortable lawn furniture and with the outdoor fire pit that overlooks the great lawn where you can also enjoy a game of volleyball or badminton. On our back porch, have fun with the fooseball table or play some basketball on our small home court.

This spacious home is conveniently located on Smiths Point, just steps from famous Singing Beach and a 10-minute walk to downtown Manchester, where you can find parks, restaurants, the town’s grocery store, and Captain Dusty’s ice cream shop!

This home is the perfect spot for vacationing families, large groups, or reunions. The home’s location and amenities provide countless options for guests. The home is also perfect for families attending a wedding in the vicinity. We completed a major cosmetic upgrade in November 2021 with all new wall to wall carpeting, new furniture in the upstairs and downstairs living rooms, all new paint in the sleeping wings and upgraded kitchen appliances. As such, we have slightly increased rates for peak rental season (May - July). Any rentals already booked for 2022 will be granted our original pricing.

This 9 BR/5 BA home sleeps up to 19 people and has 3 master suites in 3 separate wings of the house. It was recently outfitted with large air conditioners in the common areas, and all bedrooms have window units.

Every bathroom has a hair dryer and comes stocked with soap and paper products for your convenience.

The 2 acre plot includes a large private yard with an adjacent pool (open Memorial Day weekend through October 1) and adjoining bowling green enveloped by large pine trees, affording privacy for you and your guests. The bowling green and pool include a croquet set, floats, beach chairs, umbrellas, and countless toys for pool and beach users. (The semi-private pool is shared with two of my cousin's families who only occasionally use the pool). There is a basketball hoop in the driveway.

The driveway and garage accommodates up to 6 cars for parking. (No parking is allowed on any of the streets).

The home offers a gas grill, brand new refrigerator with water dispenser, dishwasher, 2 cooktops (one gas, one electric), 3 sinks, 3 ovens and a microwave. There is both a Keurig coffeemaker and a drip coffeemaker. The large kitchen area is perfect for big groups, with an open dining room that can seat your entire party. There is also a patio on the main level and a deck on the upstairs level, both with outdoor furniture. There is a motorized stairlift for guests who may need it.

Enjoy downtime in a large light-filled living room on the upstairs level with a wood-burning fireplace and magnificent cathedral ceiling with wood beams. There are two TV rooms, one on the upper level and one downstairs. The downstairs TV room has a brand new smart TV where you can access your own streaming platforms. It also has a classic bumper pool table. Next to the downstairs TV room is a large play room equipped with a ping pong table and countless board games and toys for kids (and grownups!) of all ages. Keep the kiddos entertained even in poor weather with legos, building blocks, doll house, games, books, and more. The house is wired for cable and high-speed WiFi.

There is a laundry room with washer and dryer and ample linens and towels available for your use.

For our youngest guests, we offer 2 high chairs, 3 Pack and Plays, a baby bouncy seat, an infant tub, baby gates, and bed rails.

It is an easy 15 minute-walk to the train station, where you can go into Downtown Boston or explore the North Shore. There is also an easy 10-minute walk to the beach, or you can drive to the beach and use the convenient parking lot.

Summer is absolutely perfect, but foliage season, Spring and Winter are also beautiful!

Coffee lovers will be able to fuel up however you do at home. We offer a traditional drip machine, a Nespresso pod machine, a Keurig pod machine and a french press!

The separate dining room has room for 18 guests to dine together!

We're a 15 minute drive from two of the most beautiful beaches in New England, Wingaersheek and Good Harbor. Whale watch, deep sea fishing, museums, shops and restaurants in downtown Gloucester are a 10 minute ride.

The large, well stocked eat-in kitchen has both a dining table and an island, a double oven, four burner stovetop, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher and kid's dishes. Whether you are an avid cook or prefer to throw something on the grill, you will find everything you need.

The comfortable, vaulted ceiling family room has a Smart TV and is stocked with games and books for adults and children, and has plenty of room to relax. Large windows and sliding glass doors allow the sun to pour in, and provides views of the variety of birds that love the birdbaths and trees that surround the house.

You will want to spend a lot of time on the large deck which is a great place to read a book, have cocktails or a serve a meal. In addition to patio furniture, there is a built-in picnic table that seats 10 and a gas grill. The deck overlooks a beautiful yard with gardens, a Koi pond, a big grassy area to play games on, and our own wiffle ball field. We have cornhole, bocce and other yard games available.

The Primary bedroom has a King bed and large jetted tub. The other three bedrooms have queen beds. All rooms have closets and dressers. There is also a queen sofa bed in the lower level rec room

Enjoy the quiet residential neighborhood. Take a short walk to sunsets on Magnolia Pier, walks on Magnolia Beach, strolls along the ocean on Shore Road and to visit shops and restaurants on Lexington Avenue.

If you want to explore the area, you will have easy access to the historic towns of Salem, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Rockport, Essex, Ipswich and Boston.

We have available for your use plenty of things you'll need for the beach including beach chairs, beach umbrella, cooler bag, kid's beach toys, beach games, boogie boards and plenty of beach towels. The first floor of the house has two bedrooms and a full bathroom.

Bedroom 1: Large Primary bedroom has a King bed, closet, dresser and desk for remote work. It also has a large jetted tub to relax in or bathe the kids.

Bedroom 2: This bedroom has a Queen bed, dresser and closet.

Bathroom 1: The full bathroom on this floor has double sinks, and a shower with a rainshower head, regular head and removable wand. It also converts to a steamroom.

The walk-out lower level has two bedrooms and a bathroom, a rec room with a pool/ping-pong table and a queen sleeper sofa. There is a TV with a Fire TV Stick so you can log into your accounts, connect a gaming console or attach the DVD player to watch movies.

Bedroom 3: This bedroom has a Queen bed and dresser/closet wardrobe.

Bedroom 4: This bedroom has a Queen bed and a dresser and closet.

There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the Rec Room.

We were so excited just pulling up to see how lovely the gardens were, and then when we went inside we were thrilled to see that the photos didn't do the house justice - it's even nicer than we expected! Perfectly clean, it had just about anything we could think to use in the kitchen (except spices, but that's no big deal), and plenty of towels & beach chairs, boogie boards and tons of fun sports equipment for my nephews to enjoy. My parents declared it the best VRBO we've stayed in so far! Rick was a great host - excellent communication and very helpful. The guide left at the house was also really helpful - especially with regard to the local beach as it's a little trickier to use than just walking down to it. The local restaurants in walking distance were great! We ate down the street half the nights we were there, and a couple of breakfasts too. And it was so nice to take a walk down to the pier every night for the sunset. We might have been a little crowded if all 9 of us had come, but as it was, it was great. My nephew who used the pull-out bed in the basement said it was comfortable. And one nephew even slept on the sofa upstairs and said it was great. All in all, we loved our time in Magnolia! Definitely considering come back again next year!"

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

- "Black Cove Cottage is in a lovely location in Manchester by the Sea. The deck was a sunny spot for coffee in the morning and a cool shady place for dinner in the evening. The kitchen/dining area had everything we needed for our vacation. Our daughter was pleased with the WiFi connection that enabled her to work remotely. The living room was comfortable, as were the bedrooms, and the bathrooms were very clean. My husband and I and our adult daughter truly enjoyed our vacation by the sea."
