- "Overall, clean, comfortable, and effortless in terms of checking in/out, etc. Clear instructions, a nice welcome folder with lots of suggestions for places to go. We didn't cook, but the kitchen had everything. The view of the estuary was great. Beds were clean and comfortable. Overhead fans were helpful to keep temp. comfortable. My only issue was with the bathroom. The shower had great hot water, but it was a tight stand-up space, and not a full tub. The toilet was small and low to the ground. May not be an issue for some, but could be for someone with knee or back issues. There was no support bar to use as a pull up if needed, so someone could get stuck. There was a helpful reminder sign about not clogging the septic system, but using a lighter toilet tissue than the one provided (such as Scott's 1000) would also help in that regard."

- "We came to Ipswich to attend our granddaughter’s graduation ceremony. Since we had 4 other adult relatives also wanting to attend, we decided to rent a house. We looked at several locations, but the house on the Great Neck shore really caught our eye. It minimized the driving time to the graduation festivities, looked roomy and offered many a scenic view from off the bed room porches. When we arrived, the owner personally checked us in. He mentioned that he lived right in the neighborhood, so if we ever had a problem or question, he was not far away and we had his phone number. We thought this was a splendid arrangement, however things went so well that we didn’t ever have to contact him. The owner also had someone graduating and he sat a few rows in front of us at the graduation ceremony. He later texted us with photos of our granddaughter when she gave her speech. I thought that was a very nice thing to do. Our party really enjoyed out stay, even though the weather eventually turned rainy and cool. We lit a fire in the fireplace and enjoyed that very much. It drafted very well and cleaning up the ashes afterwards was extremely easy. The owner had plenty of firewood for either the fireplace or the fire pit on the beach. I got a lot of comments from everyone concerning how well satisfied they were with the house. We used the kitchen a lot, and were very happy with it. We would all be happy to rent this house again."

- "We have used vrbo for years, this was one of if not the number one place we stayed. This is a perfect couple's getaway. It feels like you're in the middle of nowhere but you are six minutes from restaurants. You can hide away in the modern and immaculately clean rental, go through your sliding glass door to the inground pool, or ask Laurel to introduce you to the animals on site. Laurel was amazing. She lives on site, will give you complete privacy, text daily to see if you need anything, suggest restaurants only locals know about, and answer any questions you may have. Check in was super easy and the fridge was stocked with local eggs, butter, cream, and baked goods. Coffee pods were stocked and the Keurig was top notch. Super thoughtful. After you check in you really dont feel the need to go anywhere. I didnt want to leave a review. I'm selfish and would love to keep this a hidden gem but our stay was so amazing I had to make sure I posted a 5 star review."

- "We were looking for a nice, simple place to stay in order to spend Thanksgiving weekend with extended family, but still have our own space. This place was perfect. It was clean, quiet, and was just as advertised. The beds were really nice. It was walking distance from the center of tosen, but also out to the marshses and beautiful water views in the other direction. Also, Ozzy was really easy to communicate with and was quick to get back to us when we had questions. There are a bunch of stairs both up to the house, then up to the apartment, which was fine for us, but may not be for everyone."

- "This property was part of a historical estate, which was interesting to learn of while walking the property. It is now a 7 acre parcel, with a barn, overlooking the river. It was very nice to unplug here, and be surrounded by nature. If you enjoy canoeing, walking through the woods, and sitting out on a patio with a firepit, this is the place to be. There were many deer sightings, and plenty of birds to see. It is down a long drive, so very peaceful, but town for conveniences are very close by. We were here for a family reunion and 90th birthday celebration. There are stairs for all of the bedrooms, if that is a consideration for your stay. "

The reviews are in for the Great Neck Nook — a little bit of heaven on the North Shore with views of Plum Island Sound and access to a sandy, private beach. Its location makes it a great base camp for exploring the coast where you’ll find a wide range of activities that suit every taste including the Crane Estate which offers art and music exhibitions, kayaking and hiking and, of course, quintessential Crane Beach.

There are also plenty of great restaurants to choose from although, if you’re like us, you’ll find yourself opting for cocktails on the Adirondack chairs, a barbecue on the deck, and then walking around the neighborhood as the sun goes down over the sound.

If you’re looking to live by the sea this summer, the Great Neck Nook is a perfect place to do it.

Having the beach chairs, a cooler and plenty of towels at the house for us to use was awesome. And the cute mud room! How nice to be able keep all beach sand from upstairs. We went into Ipswitch a handful of times to eat, tour the museum and look at all of the First Period Homes. Our kids enjoyed ice cream and mini golf at Whites and our days at Crane Beach and Plum Island. Overall, this house was essentially a home for us and that was exactly what I was looking for when planning our summer vacation. Thanks for the memories! ."

- "From the beginning, Trish answered every question I asked about everything we could possibly need to know about our stay! When we walked into the cottage we were thrilled: it was even better than all the photos we saw ahead of time! It was decorated so beautifully and with colors that were so warm and cozy...also my favorite shades of aqua in the kitchen. As artists ourselves, we noticed all the artwork exhibited on the walls and the decor of the whole cottage was so inviting and relaxing. We loved the view of the water as we ate our meals; and loved being on the deck watching the deer and bunnies below us! Every room was as amazing to us and fixed up in ways that were geared toward comfort!! The kitchen had everything we could possibly need and was spotless. The whole place was so beautiful that we couldn't think of anything that wasn't available to their guests.
