Remodeled and all-new everything (furniture, appliances, dishware, Smart TV, games, outdoor furnishings, etc.). Washer/dryer in unit for convenience. Incredible location - a minute walk to Blue Dog, A Perfect Cup, CW Fudge, many shops and galleries. Yucatan Waterfront Bar and Grill and Miceli's just down the road. If you want to venture further, the rental includes two new beach cruiser bicycles, This unit directly faces the water and dock, providing incredible sunrises and instant access to fishing for Reds, Snook, etc. (pole combos & tackle included). and kayak launch (2 designated kayas, with vests and paddles). Fish carving table, water and elec. are available at the dock near the gas grill. Or just relax by the firepit, in the hammock, or catch some sun in the loungers. The unit is cozy but has an open feel and is professionally designed to optimize space. Matlacha is a hidden gem and offers some of the best fishing in the world. Need more space? - "Location was awesome! Walk to restaurants and local park, kayaking right out the front door, and fishing off the Matlacha bridge or the new pier is right around the corner. House is adorable with everything new. It’s a small space but the owners have utilized every inch really well and even fit in a huge TV. The outside area is cute with a fireplace and a view of the canal. Owners were helpful and quick to respond to questions. All the locals were so sweet and we wish Matlacha the best in its recovery!"

We were able to bring our boat and keep it in the water behind the house. This place is so cute and cumfy. My husband and I come to this little town at least twice a year. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to come back to stay here when we visit the area on our next trip. The only thing I would want to let other guests know is that the street the house is on is a one way. If you're coming with your boat on a trailer you can drive straight in no problem but you cannot make a U turn... you have to back out all the way down the street. We ended up leaving our truck and trailer parked at the marina where we dropped in the boat behind the blue dog grill restaurant. No biggy at all!!!! It was only a 5 minute walk back to the house.Love love love this place!! It really was amazing."

THE SPACE

The back guest suite at one of the Matlacha cottages. You have a separate and private entrance by way of the breezeway. The space includes a king sized bed with a new Roku tv, brand new gourmet efficiency kitchen, and eating area and or office with new luxury lvp flooring that have the best views on the island of the Matlacha Aquatic Preserve. Privacy walls have been installed for a more privacy outside between units.

- "I stayed at this hidden gem for 2 nights while in town for a high school graduation. Million dollar view out the back of the cottage overlooking the bay = perfect spot to relax in morning and evening or take the kayak for a spin. Although I never met the owner of the property, she was very pleasant and responsive. I will definitely try to book there again when I visit Cape Coral again. P.S. - the strip of land, called Matlacha, is truly Old Florida and a popular destination with shops and some restaurants and watering holes. Thanks for a great vacation! -- Mick"

This is a small cottage with an attached in-law unit, that has the option to rent the house as a 2-bed bath due to this attached in-law unit, which has its own bathroom and entrance. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed in the, there is a full kitchen with a dishwasher included. The living and dining area are an open floor plan, the wall facing the water is a large sliding door that opens out to a private deck. There is a sofa bed in the living room that opens out to a full bed.. The main bathroom has a newly tiled stall shower. The attached in-law unit has a twin daybed and a bathroom with a stall shower, a recliner, and a murphy desk. Prices are based on renting the main part of the house as a one-bedroom, one bathroom. Inquire for pricing and availability if you are interested in renting it as a two bed, two bath. There is also an added refundable security deposit for the attached in-law unit.

The village was walking distance to some great local restaurants, and a short and easy drive to other restaurants and grocery stores. The "tiny village" itself was peaceful & perfect. We enjoyed quiet mornings sitting on the dock with our coffee, quick drives over to explore Pine Island during the day, and grilling on the "village" dock for dinner. The area is still recovering from hurricanes- but that doesn't stop the peaceful & friendly Island life vibe everywhere you go. We look forward to having another tiny village getaway soon! "
