Inside the Cottage is a good size kitchen with gas stove top, microwave and Bakers Oven/fire heater. We supply pantry items to make your stay more comfortable.

The lounge has a lovely sofa, chase lounge, dining table, TV and a electric fire place. This fire place allows you to have the full ambience of a wood fire but with the added bonus that it can be used in the warmer months with out heat if desired.

The bathroom is on the ground level, consisting of a toilet and shower. (no bath or spa)

Upstairs is the bedroom with king bed, writing desk, side tables, occasional tables and chairs, very large built in wardrobe and TV/DVD. This beautifully decorated bedroom is very roomy with lovely views over the property.

Anandā Eco House is joined by a huge deck that is surrounded by the 3 seperate bedrooms, the kitchen, living room, bathroom and toilet/laundry. A truely unique design that immerses you in the natural beauty of the hinterlands.

Each room is surrounded by the green rainforest outside, but when you need the privacy of your own space your room is fitted with blinds and curtains. For hotter months a ceiling fan is fitted and extra blankets and a heater are in each room when it gets chilly.

The deck has a large gazebo with 14 chairs and two big tables underneath. The rest of the deck has built in bench seats, a corner day bed, a pair of occasional chairs and a beautiful hanging rattan egg chair for more laid back seating to relax. The property also has a large patio that is downstairs from the house, that has an outdoor lounge area, an infrared sauna and a cold plunge/ice bath. One pathway behind the patio leads to the outdoor fire pit to spend those colder nights together. The other pathway behind the patio leads to two hammocks, to relax with a book or cup of tea.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, including pans, plates, glasses, mugs, tea, coffee, oven, microwave, blender and a full size fridge. Next to the kitchen is a living area with big comfy couches, reverse cycle A/C, board games, books and a fire place.

The house is eco friendly and as off grid as possible, hosting solar power, rain water and a composting toilet. The jungle setting attracts birds, wildlife and other bugs which all add to the experience. Not only does the property have an abundance of palm trees and bamboo, it also hosts a variety of macadamia trees, coffee plants, ginger plants, olive trees, banana trees, peach trees and a lemon myrtle tree.

We give our guests the option to customise their stay with additional add ons & purchases. These range from 3 course dinners and breakfast hampers from our resident caterer (subject to availability), through to the convenience of having wine and firewood etc. on site for sale. The option is there for you to build your custom getaway in nature!

The property has a car park at the front that fits 3 cars for your guests. You can always leave your car at the retreat and walk into town being less than 1km from the centre of Montville.

Self check in is available otherwise we may be available to check you in on arrival as we stay nearby on the other side of the property, so we are available for any questions, tips or help throughout your stay.

Montville has glorious views of the Sunshine Coast and has plenty of local attractions such as shops, restaurants, cafes, national parks and waterfalls.

All bedrooms are set up with king beds as standard. If you require additional bedding or beds, we can change the configuration and split any king bed to be two singles for a small fee. If you’re booking for more than 6, we will add sofa beds in each room to comfortably sleep up to 10 or add the fold out couch in the living room to accommodate up to 12. If travelling with infants, we have a portacot we can provide for your family. Please discuss any bedding requests with us at the time of booking.

- "Beautiful home.Very comfortable.Great layout.Beatiful view.Being a bit picky which may not be a neagtive for others but the beautiful deck had a little pergola structure with a vine growing on it for shade but the the vine would drop a small mess every day." - "Impressive property & house. Pool table was great for family fun. Kitchen was large & views were beautiful. Lots of seating areas both inside & out. The external 'granny flat' was a lovely separation for the parents. Netflix was provided for a nice extra. Loved that bags of ice were supplied, which was unexpected but very useful. Appliances were of great quality. Plentiful toilet paper supply & paper towel, nice touch with marshmallows also. Downside was lack of timber for the fireplace, for the price we would have expected the stockpile to be full but we were told to go & purchase our own & then it would be reimbursed. At over $1000 per night we were disappointed. Lack of bowls in the kitchen also, nothing to serve chips or a salad in. We had mouse droppings on the lounge, under a pillow in the main room & they were heard moving around in the quiet of night. Location was excellent, view terrific, heaps of living space, a nice property to explore."

- "This house is beautifully set up for two couples to enjoy cosy and comfortable private bedrooms with ensuites and TVs and a common spacious, light living area and kitchen, with wood heater and aircon/heating and TV. We loved the spa in wintertime - a lovely way to relax and ease the muscles after bushwalking to the Kondalilla Falls. We loved seeing the resident kookaburras visit on the verandah railings and the quiet, rainforest setting of the house. The hosts provided fruit and cereals as well as all the kitchen and bathroom things that we needed for a week's stay. We loved playing some of the board games and CDs that are available in the house, and we appreciated the ample parking for two cars. The house is very well located a very short drive to Montville main street and easy distance to Maleny and Mapleton and all the great things to see and do in this region. We had a fabulous lunch at Flame Hill Winery and an amazing dinner at Mapleton Pub. We also did lots of bush walking in the multiple reserves and national parks. A beautiful place to stay, we would definitely consider returning to this house for a visit to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland."

The Space:
Eastnor House was one of the first homes to be built when Montville was settled in 1895. Recently restored, the home is made up of a master king bedroom with ensuite, second queen bedroom. A main bathroom, kitchen, two dining rooms, two lounge rooms and laundry. This listing includes the downstairs of the home only, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

*Please note, seperate guests may be present in the cottage if you are booking the house only. Privacy is of upmost importance and you have your own private spaces, however the pool is a shared space. Further to, holiday periods require exclusive booking of the estate (total of 10 guests) including the cottage and is priced accordingly*.

Design has been at the forefront of our concept for Montville Estate, with every single element chosen carefully for you to appreciate and enjoy. All of our furnishings are from luxury brands dotted with antiques and special vintage finds to pay homage to the history of the home.

With the intention of 'Slow Living' we encourage disconnection from devices and true connection with family and friends, therefore do not offer a television. Grab a book, play a game, swim in the pool, eat, drink, light one or all of the three fires, enjoy a walk around the grounds or the quaint tourist township of Montville. There is so much to do and enjoy during your stay. The quarters are appointed with luxurious bed linen and towels by Cultiver. Hair and body products by Salus.

We stock a basic pantry which includes ground coffee beans, black and herbal teas, salt, pepper, sugar, spice selection and olive oil and a fully equipped kitchen in Eastnor House. Amenities in the kitchen include double oven and 5-burner gas stovetop, double fridge with freezer, soda stream, dutch ovens, blender, kettle, toaster. We also have plunger coffee makers for the caffeine addicts to enjoy with our favourite local and organic brew, Montville Coffee.

The ocean is a short 30 min drive away, Noosa just 50 minutes north, with many gorgeous hinterland towns along the way.

Getting Around:
We highly recommend having a car if you are planning on exploring the surrounds. However if you're looking to relax and simply walk into town, The Montville Estate is perfectly located at the back of the village.

Montville Estate boasts an original Montville Queenslander, Eastnor House built in 1895. This property acted as the first Receiving Office for mail from the UK and abroad. We pay homage to the rich history of this estate and titled the adjacent cottage, The Postman's Cottage. Design was at the forefront of our concept for The Postman's Cottage, with every single element of the space created for you to appreciate and enjoy. You will notice there is no television, this has been purposefully left out to encourage connection and true relaxation with your companion, or self. Grab a book, play a game, light the fire, enjoy a walk around the grounds with a shared magnesium pool or explore the quaint tourist township of Montville and Sunshine Coast Hinterland beyond.

Your quarters are appointed with luxurious king bed and ensuite, plus bed linen and towels by Cultiver. Hair and body products by Salus. We stock a basic pantry which includes ground coffee beans, black and herbal teas, salt, pepper, sugar and olive oil. Guests find it hard to leave once they arrive, so we recommend you stop by Maleny or other major centre enroute, or swing past the petite local IGA on your way, don’t forget to pick up your milk of choice, if you take it.
