- "Before we arrived, we knew that this motel was being predominately used as emergency housing (this wasn't the case when we booked mid 2023) however the motel manager did everything possible to honour all the bookings for this weekend in spite of the situation she found herself in. She contacted us well in advance, explained what was going on, and gave an assurance that our booking would still go ahead. On arrival, yes the property is run down and needs maintenance but our room, while obviously under renovation (and occupied by a long term tenant who had vacated for the weekend) was clean and the welcome was warm and the complimentary bbq dinner and breakfast was welcomed and went a long way towards making up for the drop in standards that was expected."
