Detached from the main house, this is a sleepout/studio. Guests love the quiet and secure neighbourhood location. Local shopping centre with supermarket, chemist and library are 10mins walk/5mins drive from the house. We are a 5mins drive from NP airport/10mins drive to New Plymouth CBD and approx 30mins drive to Mt Taranaki. Walking distance to Bell Block Beach and the scenic Coastal Walkway from Bell Block to NP in an hour. Great for a weekend/short visit to the region.

Spacious sleepout/studio located in our backyard/garden area. Open plan layout: kings size bed, kitchen area, small TV seating area and separate bathroom with shower. Kitchen stocked with tea & coffee, toaster, plates, cups, cutlery etc provided. Has a microwave and refrigerator but does not have an oven or stovetop cooking facility. All kept spotlessly clean and tidy.

Enjoy a relaxing experience at this recently built cosy unit in suburban New Plymouth, and only a 5 minute drive from the centre of town. Get a great night's sleep on the comfortable queen size bed, relax on the sofa with some Netflix, get refreshed in the modern shower or catch a bus into town from the corner of the street. The location of this modern unit is also only a stone's throw from the beautiful local domain, featuring picturesque woodland walks and a popular swimming hole.

The unit is located behind our family home, but has it's own private access (separate fenced pathway beside our house) and it's own private patio area which looks out onto a vegetable garden.

The recently built unit features an open plan kitchen, dining, living area, separate bedroom with plenty of storage space and it's own bathroom, complete with shower, toilet, sink and vanity. The unit features a newly installed heat pump to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter.

In the compact kitchen area you will find a sink, 2-ring hob, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave and necessary kitchen utensils, crockery, pots, pans and glassware. Complimentary tea and coffee are included. Please note there is no oven or dishwasher.

The living area features a modern couch, perfect for 2 people. There is a TV, with Netflix and a coffee table. There is also a small dining table with 2 chairs and a view of the vegetable garden.

The living area opens out onto a small private concrete patio, with chairs for enjoying the warm summer afternoons.

The bedroom features a queen size bed with high quality mattress, all bedding provided, mirror, bedside units with lamps for any night time reading, heated towel stand and drawers for storage. There is a sliding door to the living area. There is a hanging unit with coat hangers in the cupboard off the living area.

The small bathroom features a good quality shower, toilet, vanity with sink and mirror. Hand soap, toilet paper, towels and washcloths are provided.

We can provide secure storage for bikes, surf boards etc in our garage upon request.

Guest access
Guests will have their own private space in the unit, and their own private pedestrian pathway from the roadside to access it. Guests may request the use of our washing machine or dryer in our garage, and this can be arranged.

Other things to note
You *may* hear our children or our friendly little dog playing in our driveway occasionally, but they are generally quiet, and your patio area is fenced off from them.
If we need to turn our sprinkler on/off in our vegetable garden, we will message you to let you know (the dining area of the unit looks directly onto the vegetable garden).

We are a family of three, laid back and pretty cozy chill lifestyle. We loved our home as it boasts beautiful view of Mt. Taranaki, Rangers, Paritutu Rock and a little bit of the ocean (Back Beach).

It is a 3 bedroom house with garage and plenty of parking.

We decided to offer our guest room for anyone who might be solo traveller's hence we have a comfy King Single on the room.
