Dining at the island eating bar for four. The comfy living room has plenty of seating with couch, loveseat and roomy swivel chair, game/puzzle sized coffee table, DVD player, basket full of blankets, games, dedicated workspace & 58" Roku HD tv. The cabin is located on our a sixteen acre wooded property in the Locust Fork River Watershed, two miles from Mardis Mill Waterfall, four miles from King’s Bend Overlook park, and fifteen miles from Palisades Park. We are near Spring Valley Beach Water Park, and the cute town of Oneonta.

Our grounds include sandstone glades, a cleared meadow, and restoration forests. You'll have lots of space to breath--the nearest neighbor is down the road and across the street--more than a hundred yards away. There's a good chance that while you're here, you will be visited by hummingbirds, cardinals, whip-o-wills and other birds. We sometimes spot white-tailed deer out in the yard. There is lots of comfortable seating on the wrap around porch, and a propane grill if you feel like cooking outdoors. The cabin is pet friendly and you will almost certainly be visited by our neighbor dogs, Buster and Peanut, two friendly dogs who love to greet our guests and play with visiting dogs.

The cabin has a homey vibe with potted plants and bird-feeders--we tend the space with care and try to add little touches that make it feel like a home away from home. It's got high speed wifi in case you need to keep up with the outside world, but no TV so you can retreat in peace. Both beds are made up with overstuffed pillows and down duvets. The kitchen has everything you need to make a good meal; we include complimentary coffee to get you started each day.

Bear Claw Treehouse is located on a 2 acre triangle bordered on the north by historic Big Canoe Creek. The treehouse is nestled into a group of trees with ground supports and easy access. Only suggestions would be to add ceiling fans in each bedroom and remove/replace the silver fixtures because at night they seem lit up and change out the mattresses in the two guest rooms; they sag. Just because you were not born in a barn, does not mean you can't stay in one! Your "neigh"bors may be just 12 feet away, but they will be the best you have ever had! If you live in the city, there may be smells you aren't used to, and the horses may bang and clang around a bit, but their kind souls and big hearts make up for it! Our 8 foot window overlooking the covered arena might even have you nose to nose with a horse at some point during your stay!

This is a functioning barn and Horse Hotel. Each guest must sign a liability waiver promising not to touch animals without the owners permission. Guests are never to enter spaces with animals without the owner present. In addition, no feeding animals without permission.

Bugs, frogs, and flies are a probability. This is a barn after all. Heck, even snakes are a possibility outside. If any of these are a concern, please book elsewhere. No refunds will be provided for naturally occurring bugs and wildlife within or around the barn.

- "The boathouse, lake, and experience were amazing. The kitchen was nicely stocked with plenty of dishes/pots/pans/utensils, along with blender/coffee grinder/coffee pot/microwave. There were cleaning products, and plenty of bed linens. There were books to read, games to play for kids, along with a kayak, paddle board, and canoe for enjoying the water. The lake is peaceful, and clean. We saw deer, turtles, turkeys, snakes, and tons of birds. The home is decorated like a personal art gallery. It is absolutely beautiful. We had so much fun walking around like we were at an art exhibition. Not only is it beautiful it's functional and comfortable. We will definitely be coming back. "

This renovated office is now a quaint house that provides a haven in the countryside. The property provides a large parking space and access to a swimming pool. The master bedroom has a queen bed & 2 spacious closets. The second bedroom provides 2 twin beds. An additional twin-sized trundle is available upon request. There is a dining area and pantry, kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, stove & oven. A living room area with a full-size sleeper sofa and a laundry room with a washer & dryer.

Rental is available for a 2 night minimum and 7 day maximum. Located adjacent/backyard of the owner’s home. We have 1 cat and 1 Great Pyrenees that roam the yard. They are both very friendly.

*For fisherman: We also have an additional gravel area for boat parking if needed, located beside the rental house. We also have an area for charging boat batteries if needed. It is between Smith Lake and Guntersville Lake, making it a great place to stay if competing or attending fishing tournaments!
