The cottage features a fabulous, fully stocked custom kitchen, bright & airy, with leathered dolomite counters & copper farm sink, smoothe electric cooktop in the island, dishwasher, full fridge, built-in microwave & convection oven, built-in trash/recycle bins, K-cup or grounds single cup coffee maker with coffees (traditional pot brewer in cabinet,) sweeteners & creamers & a variety of small appliances & utensils to prepare meals of any size. Dining at the island eating bar for four. The comfy living room has plenty of seating with couch, loveseat and roomy swivel chair, game/puzzle sized coffee table, DVD player, basket full of blankets, games, dedicated workspace & 58" Roku HD tv. There are 2 bedrooms- thoughtfully appointed. One bedroom (Master - 12' x 12') has a king bed, armoire, basket & drawer clothing storage, blackout drapes, ceiling fan & bath adjoins. The Rambler is 130' to the rear of the cottage on the back corner of the lot. It has privacy fencing for the comfort of both units. The cabin is located on our a sixteen acre wooded property in the Locust Fork River Watershed, two miles from Mardis Mill Waterfall, four miles from King’s Bend Overlook park, and fifteen miles from Palisades Park. We are near Spring Valley Beach Water Park, and the cute town of Oneonta.

Our grounds include sandstone glades, a cleared meadow, and restoration forests. You'll have lots of space to breath--the nearest neighbor is down the road and across the street--more than a hundred yards away. There's a good chance that while you're here, you will be visited by hummingbirds, cardinals, whip-o-wills and other birds. We sometimes spot white-tailed deer out in the yard. There is lots of comfortable seating on the wrap around porch, and a propane grill if you feel like cooking outdoors. The cabin is pet friendly and you will almost certainly be visited by our neighbor dogs, Buster and Peanut, two friendly dogs who love to greet our guests and play with visiting dogs.

The cabin has a homey vibe with potted plants and bird-feeders--we tend the space with care and try to add little touches that make it feel like a home away from home. It's got high speed wifi in case you need to keep up with the outside world, but no TV so you can retreat in peace. Both beds are made up with overstuffed pillows and down duvets. The kitchen has everything you need to make a good meal; we include complimentary coffee to get you started each day.

Bear Claw Treehouse is located on a 2 acre triangle bordered on the north by historic Big Canoe Creek. The treehouse is nestled into a group of trees with ground supports and easy access.
