- "Great place! we chose this as it was close to the suburban train, about a 15-20 min. walk from Calella / Pineda De Mar stations and was also beachfront. the hotel was pretty cheap on the days we went and included breakfast buffet, but it was during the weekdays which was a factor. Can add additional all inclusive for lunch, dinner and bars as well! (though I believe you have to stay for a min.5 nights) Had 4 water areas: 2 outside pools, 1 waterpark (5 slides and kids unit), and 1 indoors. Really clean, all around. most likely will have a nice view whichever room you stay , as it faces either the ocean or mountains. had many recreational activities for both kids and adults throughout the day. Also we didn't expect to there to be daily night shows which were surprisingly very entertaining and enjoyable, and different each night, all of which were very talented! the towns were very walkable with many local shops for souvies. if you don't have the all inclusive, there are also many places to dine out, in town or by the beach which were great! there are also unique local transit options such as a trainshuttle for the kids. Beach is right across from the hotel, though the sand is abit coarse and hurts the feet, but it's still a beautiful beach! overall fantastic spot, highly recommend!"

- "Receptionist was unfriendly and hard to communicate" - "Staff was very friendly, the apartment had everything we needed and we were also allowed to use the kids splash/pool area in the sister hotel resort, which is just across the street. Not the cleanest though and no chance of clean towels regardless of how long your staying. Balcony doors dont lock and safe doesnt work. Dont expect to get what you paid for during busy season unless you arrive very early before all apartments are full. 2 years running we paid for an upper apartment with a balcony and spare beds. Both years they tried to put us in lower ground floor with dark terrace. Last year after an hour of having to explain and prove what we paid for, and call hotels.com for assistance we finally got the correct apartment. This year after a nightmare journey and after having to explain and proove again what we booked (hotels.com app isnt enough, you have to send them the email confirmation) we had no choice but to accept a ground floor then change the next day, which wasnt gauranteed, so left without a room for 4 hours!! Staff are not helpful about this issue, no apologies just claim nothing they can do. Well there is something they can do, place visitors in the apartments they paid for and not base it on first come first served. We wont be back as dont want the same hassle every year. "

It is located right outside the elevator. Super convenient when traveling with a lot of luggage. The apartment is cozy, but big enough equipped with two stove burners, a compact fridge & microwave, plenty of dishes for those who like to cook their own meals. I love their balcony where you have view to the action on the plaza, and you can access it from living room or bedroom! It has an area where you can hang clothes for drying, is big enough to store a couple of bikes, and it comes with a patio table & a couple of chairs if you just want to hang out & people watch. The staff was always friendly and available, and there’s a small cafe on the main floor. I didn’t try anything there, but I noticed it. Also, there’s a small grocery store a few blocks away, maybe two? Along with lots of local shops and a delicious bakery (across the local town plaza). On the other side of the train tracks is the beach with another little restaurant-shack where they serve coffee & drinks, and food after 11am. Overall, this hotel is an excellent deal. We will definitely return!"

- "Spacoius and clean Staff friendly and accomodatimg" - "Just back from 11 nights staying in one of these apartments. They are clean and spacious enough, but a little basic. The Hotel itself is about 200m away where you can use all facilities such as pool. Pineda is a nice town (much quieter and less commercialised than others in area). Hotel is across road from beach and walking distance from train station. We went all over on train, including day trips to Girona and Barcelona. You can also avoid expensive airport transfers by using the train. I would return to Pineda. BUT I would not stay in these apartments again, nor can I recommend them for the following reasons: 1. Walls and ceilings are paper thin, which means you hear absolutely everything in apartments above, below and across from you. Babies crying through the night, people talking at normal volume keep you awake at night, people slamming doors, children playing in the early hours. We stayed longer than most. So some nights we got some sleep, others we didn't. There is no way I'd stay again here unless I knew no one else was, 2. Kitchen is extremely basic. All you have is two small rings and a microwave to cook on. How do you cook for 5 people on that? The caravan we stayed in last year was better equipped. You need a grill/oven. 3. Lanudry area. This is only useful if you are on the top floor. If you hang your washing here, the flat above will throw water, waste and one occasion cigarette ash all over your clean clothes! No washing machine facilities either."

Very reasonably priced." - "This small family run hotel made our stay in Pineda De Mar very enjoyable, close to the beach with lots of amenities suitable for all ages. Our room was a double on the third floor, was on the road side not the church side, triple glazed so road noise kept to a minimum and air conditioning very quiet. The room was very clean and cleaned every day. The roof terrace was lovely and initially shocked by the church bells, but as the week went on we would carry on reading whilst the bells did what they did!! They stop ringing at midnight and restart at 7am, ringing on the hour and donging on the quarter. My partner and I found it very authentic and Spanish, watching the hustle and bustle of the church goers. We booked bed and breakfast and ate most of our evening meals there, as it was good tasty very reasonably priced food and drink, in comparison to the local bars. One review said the food was terrible, they were there when we were, so were they ate I don't know!! the menu was limited but good enough for us. The other review slated the lack of choice at breakfast, there was yoghurts, two choices of cereals, pastries, toast, sliced meats and cheeses, fresh fruit, Orange juice, pineapple juice, tea, coffee and nice cold milk! What people don't seem to understand is they've read that the Sabiote Hotel is a one star hotel, not a five, we definitely felt we where in a higher than a one star Hotel. Would definitely go again, mainly due to the Spanish family who own/run the Sabiote."

Pineda de Mar is also an ideal place for excursions, hiking, or mountain bike, as it lies next to Montnegre natural park, a place of great landscape beauty.

- "The backyard was amazing. We had 4 kids with us ages 4-11 and they were fully entertained in the backyard. The pool was clean and warm with a shallow end and deep end so everyone could enjoy. The swing set was simple and able to add to the entertainment without being hard to use. There was a small soccer area that was well used too. Ample space to relax outside both covered and open. Great dining area outside. Inside has more than enough space. Room for kids and adults to have their own space. Washer and dryer, dishwasher, stove, microwave, everything you could need. The one downside is that there were no rugs inside so floor coming into doorways for dirty and slippery easily. Also without any rugs made some spaces loud. I also wish their was more towels. We had to do laundry almost daily for towels as it is limited to be per person for use in both bath and pool. The kitchen is bare when it comes to spices and condiments. Just know that when doing any meal prep and shopping. You also have to supply your own paper towels, sponges, dish soap, and toilet paper. Not the worst but not the most convenient when traveling via air, especially with all the luggage restrictions these days. An idea to owners would maybe be put together a convenience package renters could purchase so as not to have to shop for all that. I think beach towels were available for rent but I didn’t see that until later. Overall great house and def recommend."
