- "Had a lovely stay at this hotel which is right on the promenade on beach. In a quiet locaton but very close to everything. We had a seaview room with a small balcony that got the sun morning but shade by mid afternoon. A fridge. A safe. The Room was fine we found the bed comfy. It would have been nice to have a couple of comfy chairs in the room. The bathroom had best shower ever. The room was cleaned and fresh towels daily. The breakfast was fabulous everything you want and plenty of it. Even a glass of prosecco. The reception staff were very helpful. We walked to the train once. Afterwards had the bus or taxi. We walked lots to the tordera river bird hide most days as my husband loves bird watching. He saw little egrets. Heron. Squackow heron. Ducks. Golden oreal. We walked to the botanical large gardens.we also went to the costal path just on from the gardens. We caught the train to calella. Another day we went to malgret de mar and walked to santa susanna along the beach the caught the train back. We are not ones to lie by the pool all day. There is a big market on seafront by the restaurants on a monday morning. The Texas Steakhouse was lovely. A boat leaves the beach near hotel with regular trips along coast to lloret de mar etc. Buses and train cheap transport. As we enjoy walking walking back from the train along the tordera river to the hide was our sort of holiday. As we had a late flight home we got train to girona to explore before flying home"

Kitchen has limited utensils and therefore you can't really do much cooking but there is a full size fridge with freezer and microwave and coffee machine. My criticism really is there is no air con and the rooms are really stuffy, particularly the bathroom as ours didn't have a window. The pool area was great but sunbeds are an issue with people reserving them and there's no one to monitor this. I think often the pool is used by non residents and was really busy during our stay. There is nowhere to just sit by the pool on a chair, which I think could be an improvement, just to have some chairs and tables out to sit. There is no bar or place to get a drink, ice cream etc on site. Overall it's a nice place and the people running it were really helpful. "

I had read reviews of disturbed nights, due to loud disco but, luckily for us, it wasn’t open… too early in the season? - "It's close to the beach. The dinner buffet is very good." - "This is a clean, tidy, well run hotel full of staff that want to please the guests without being over the top. Nothing it too much trouble for the staff especially Rosendo who was especially helpful and pleasant and a credit to the hotel. The hotel has 2 lovely pools, a hot outdoor jacuzzi, games room and a very nice bar with TV screens for football or whatever is top at the time. Food is buffet style, plenty of choice though im typically English and did not always find something that I could eat and my only other comment is that it could have been hotter. The rooms as a good size, they all have very good air conditioning and plenty of instant hot water. Room service was perfect, everything was in place every day, all swept and cleaned perfectly. The location is priveliged, in its own little encove on the mountain, it is right beside the Botanical Gardens and 10 minutes away from Cala Sant Francesc. With its own big infinity swimming pool overlooking the sea it really is a beautiful location.

The only thing I would’ve added is heating for the pool. Not sure how common this is in Spain, but weather in May-June is definitely cooler in comparison with Florida. Blanes is a nice Spanish town with lots to do. Beautiful botanical garden is right next to the villa, beaches are 5-10 min ride depending where you want to go.
