AND BEWARE if you are renting a car, go with someone other than Budget who sold me extra insurance cause they were not seeing our expedia booking and then charged me extra for a tire when returned... - "Was incredible, relaxing and very nice. My childrens were enjoying very much" - "Very nice condo with quite pool in the building and a big pool very close." - "It was a roomy, one-bedroom apartment in good condition and with all the amenities you would need for a quick trip (stove, sink, fridge, microwave, bbq grill). Nonetheless, be aware that I had some serious issues with my check-in. The staff claimed my reservation had been cancelled due to issues with my credit card, despute the fact that I had been charged upon reserving. They also claimed to have called me but couldn’t locate me, but I never received such a call. The apartment I got was not the one I was suposed to stay in, and it was available only due to issues with the main door (the lock apparently jams occasionally). The hotel was fully booked due to a big cycling event that started/finished in the hotel grounds that weekend (in which I actually took part) and I was expressly told that if the door didn’t open they could not offer any other solution for me. That was very infuriating and although my stay ended up being quite positive and I am satisfied with the apartment itself, I would think twice before booking with Playa Blanca Vacations again, as I was faced with the choice of calling friends to see if I could crash in their room or otherwise spend the night before the bike race sleeping in my car, despite having already paid for a night at an apartment."

Felt secure." - "Easiest comparison to a 1950’s era motel on the side of an busy interstate. Still using turn key locks and chain to secure the doors. My room had evidently had to be broken into by either the police or staff as the door frame was missing a 4 inch chunk of wood where the chain connected. Sheets are obviously reused and not cleaned. Stains and hairs from previous guests evident. Stayed 4 days and maid never cleaned the room. TV cable system (TIGO) periodically flashed an automated warning that service was going to be discontinued due to account non payment. Shower has hot and cold water controls but no hot water. Toilet continuously ran water due to flapper chain getting stuck under the flapper. To operate the AC unit you either had to stand on the bed or move it 3 inches from the wall. Breakfast was eggs to order, pancakes, French toast, and a few Panamanian choices. Staff were more than friendly. "

Considering it was dead, we felt okay about staying. At least they were doing something about the problem and we never seen any live ones.We didn't have much to choose from by the time we were looking so we went with what we knew. The desk clerk couldn't find our reservation at first and didn't know that we had already paid. We had copies of our papers but it didn't actually say paid on it so fortunately we were able to connect through their WiFi and show them that we had already paid. The pool had a lot of debris in it but the fellow came and cleaned it immediately when he saw us going in it. Overall, this is a pretty good place, not five star but I would recommend it for a night or two."
