My childrens were enjoying very much" - "Very nice condo with quite pool in the building and a big pool very close." - "It was a roomy, one-bedroom apartment in good condition and with all the amenities you would need for a quick trip (stove, sink, fridge, microwave, bbq grill). Nonetheless, be aware that I had some serious issues with my check-in. The staff claimed my reservation had been cancelled due to issues with my credit card, despute the fact that I had been charged upon reserving. They also claimed to have called me but couldn’t locate me, but I never received such a call. The apartment I got was not the one I was suposed to stay in, and it was available only due to issues with the main door (the lock apparently jams occasionally). The hotel was fully booked due to a big cycling event that started/finished in the hotel grounds that weekend (in which I actually took part) and I was expressly told that if the door didn’t open they could not offer any other solution for me. That was very infuriating and although my stay ended up being quite positive and I am satisfied with the apartment itself, I would think twice before booking with Playa Blanca Vacations again, as I was faced with the choice of calling friends to see if I could crash in their room or otherwise spend the night before the bike race sleeping in my car, despite having already paid for a night at an apartment."

My room had evidently had to be broken into by either the police or staff as the door frame was missing a 4 inch chunk of wood where the chain connected. Sheets are obviously reused and not cleaned. Stains and hairs from previous guests evident. Stayed 4 days and maid never cleaned the room. TV cable system (TIGO) periodically flashed an automated warning that service was going to be discontinued due to account non payment. Shower has hot and cold water controls but no hot water. Toilet continuously ran water due to flapper chain getting stuck under the flapper. To operate the AC unit you either had to stand on the bed or move it 3 inches from the wall. Breakfast was eggs to order, pancakes, French toast, and a few Panamanian choices. Staff were more than friendly. "

The desk clerk couldn't find our reservation at first and didn't know that we had already paid. We had copies of our papers but it didn't actually say paid on it so fortunately we were able to connect through their WiFi and show them that we had already paid. The pool had a lot of debris in it but the fellow came and cleaned it immediately when he saw us going in it. Overall, this is a pretty good place, not five star but I would recommend it for a night or two."

Our flat, "The Gliding Damselfly," is located in the Laguna neighborhood of Buenaventura - the greenest and most tranquil setting in all of Buenaventura. All of Buenaventura is very safe and secure, whether you are walking at night or during the day. With a large laguna at its center, it is easy to walk (and bike) around for kids and adults alike.

The kiddie pool is within easy walking distance with a waterslide, adult pool and community gathering area, kayak and paddleboat dock, mango trees to harvest your breakfast (July - Sept), and a playground. A short walk or shorter drive brings you to the sports club, which has a workout gym, semi-Olympic size pool, sauna, tennis courts, basketball courts, and soccer (football) field (fee required). They give yoga, rhythmic gymnastics, tennis, and swimming classes. Arrangements can be made for private lessons as well. If you come during Panamanian school breaks or summer (Dec - Feb), they also have fantastic kids camps with activities such as horse riding, rock climbing, swimming, and tennis. Buenaventura offers the first "Rafa Nadal Academy" in Panama. If you or your kids are tennis enthusiasts and would like to attend, don't hesitate to contact us for details.

This is a renovated and fully-equipped two bedroom oceanfront condo at Nikki Beach Residences, right on beautiful Playa Blanca beach. In the morning see the ocean and hear the waves sipping coffee on your balcony. In the afternoon lounge at one of the poolside cabanas steps from the ocean, and late day enjoy gym and sports facilities, or a walk on the beach. On weekends have a cocktail at the swim-up bar or a pool side meal at the Bora Bora restaurant. All in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

- "The cabin is located in a small village away from the road. I would call it a hidden gem in the jungles. There is an AC on the main floor and spacious bathroom, two beds on the top floor with lots of windows. We kept them open throughout the nights to hear all the sounds of the nature surrounding the cabin. Our kids enjoyed going down to the river and spending time on a swing or throwing rocks into the water. It's a part of the property too. We saw a sloth right by the house, some monkeys in a distance and numerous butterflies, birds and other wildlife. There is an inexpensive fonda (basic cafe), a store as well as a bakery in a walking distance."
