If you enjoy riding bikes, we may recruit you to ride with our local biking group. If there is something else you enjoy, ask! We may have that also.

We enter on one side of the house and the entrance to the guest quarters is on the opposite side of the house. This is a completely private space, and we have worked hard to make it a comfortable and peaceful get-away.

The MoPac Spur of the Katy Trail is a short ride away and will take you into the outskirts of KC. The Rock Island Spur takes you east toward St. Louis. It connects with the Katy Trail around Windsor. The Rock Island Spur is flat and straight. It got a bit monotonous after a couple of hours."

Beautiful Western Cabin that is well appointed for a once in a lifetime memorable night or two. The Cabin is secluded and nestled at the base of a ridge line with views of wildlife in the field. Flagstone patio, Table, BBQ, and open firepit provide an ambience with the outdoors to gaze at the stars. For bedding down, step inside the Cabin to a Living room, Queen bed and loft above with two beds, bathroom and shower, TV, Star-Link, Full kitchen, LG Washer/Dryer, Coffee maker, and a designer decor.

This listing can be rented on its own or in additional to the Westwind House if a group needs more beds/bedrooms or space. The apartment is completely private and secure but there may be others onsite during your stay.

The furnace and AC is not controlled from this space but we provide an electric heater with a thermostat and fans. It is usually a bit cooler in the basement than the house it warms up easily. In the summer it is the coolest area of the home!

When I asked, the owner was happy to turn the thermostat up - she could do this remotely. It is too bad most of my trips here are less than 5 nights, or I would book this property on my shorter trips too. There was no one renting the upper portion of the house though, and I can't review how that would change the noise level."

Open loft space converted to a rustic loft apartment with a cabin feel! A double bed, two twin beds, TV, Internet, Wifi, sitting area, desk and private shower. Shared half bath with a meeting space named the "Rustic Room" that has a mini kitchen area. Stairs with two balconies. Dogs onsite often being trained on the 40 acres.

This is a rustic space located on 40 acres. Sheets and towels provided. Very unique, cozy and private. All rules and guidelines for Camp Claircrest.

- "When we booked this stay, we expected a small room. When we arrived at this location, not only did we not have direct access to the loft (you have to walk through the dog training business area to access the loft), but the air conditioning was insufficient for the summer and the "mini kitchen" was nothing more than a mini fridge and microwave. I was sweating like I was in a sauna. The "rustic cabin" is not much more than a covered attic. At our time of looking at the property, there was no cable for the TV. The couch shown in the pictures was replaced with a single recliner and bean bags. This place just was not what we expected and was not acceptable to be leasing out. After communicating with the property owner and discussing our issues, she was only willing to refund us 2 of 7 nights reserved. We left 1 hour after arriving due to the conditions, but she did not open the reservation for possible new customers even though VRBO assured me she could. Additionally, VRBO has no negotiating power in any disputes (they can only pass a message), so this will be the last time we use this service. I do not recommend this property unless you are possibly there in the winter and looking for basic accommodations."

This 4 bedroom (all KING BEDS!!!) and 1.5 bath home has beautiful natural light and it is the perfect get away to relax, have a cup of coffee in the lounge, or just read a book during the daylight. This is a central location walking distance from all restaurants and shops. Easy highway access- only 20mins away from downtown Kansas City. Located in a quiet neighborhood with a large fenced back yard, fire pit and grill.
