The surrounding area was a little run down… The point of contact by the name of Jim was rude but we didn’t have any use for him after we arrived at the location. On Expedia, it states that tenants will receive an email with the code to the door at the 24 hour mark. We did not receive the code until two hours before our arrival. This was uncomfortable for us as we had to drive six hours to the location. I called Jim in the early am and was texted back that it was early and that I’d receive the code later that day. I explained (texted) my concern and received no response…then when we got to the property, we wanted to ensure that we were parking in the correct location, called Jim and asked and was treated very rudely. So, won’t be going back to that lovely location. Other than Jim’s rudeness, everything was fine but rudeness turns me off quickly!"

- "The view and location was very good. The condition of the property left a lot to be desired. Main floor balcony door would not open and after maintenance sprayed with WD40 it opened but was still VERY hard to move so balcony was unusable. Second floor balcony blinds would not work so remained down and in the way of getting out the door. There was no way to tie them up to see the view or use the balcony. Several light bulbs out including master shower, upstairs bathroom, dining room, porch, and living room lamp. Fridge filter light to replace on, so no telling how long it has been out so ice maker and ice unusable. Beds were the most uncomfortable I have slept on and felt like a concrete slab. Directions for the downstairs TV and remote would have been helpful. I will say maintenance offered to come and work on the doors but we would have had to cancel plans and stay at the residence to wait for him to arrive and then repair. These things should all be done between bookings and it shows a lack of concern for maintenance in my opinion. We paid a large "property" fee for a 4 night stay so I would question why maintenance is not getting done. Lastly, this unit is not disability friendly for someone with a walker and/or cane, just an FYI."

Long Island Village requires an $90 resort fee that will be paid directly to LIV upon check-in at the Welcome Center and is not included in your VRBO booking fees. The welcome center is open until 5:00PM Monday-Saturday.

Travelers arriving after 5PM:

we just remodeled everything on the sea cottage. It has new furniture , new floors, new bathrooms and new appliances But it does not have a washer and dryer in the sea cottage. LIV does have a community washer and dryer location by the pool. If you go to longislandvillage.com it will show you pictures of the gym, pool, golf course, etc.

- Out of respect to our lovely neighbors, loud parties are NOT allowed. There is a security guard on site and will be immediate grounds to terminate your stay. MUST BE AT LEAST 25 TO BOOK.

- "This property met and exceeded my expectations. It was incredibly clean, warm and inviting. The location was great as well. We would definitely stay here again. The only constructive feedback I would provide would be that we were left only 1 trash bag, the trash can was full from construction debris left from the balcony repair and left us no room in the bin, and no sponge was left to wash dishes. These are super minor things. The most important elements of a beach rental were met and exceeded."

- "Stayed in Port Isabel for family vacation to SPI. Excellent choice to stay at this home. In a nice , quiet community. Staff and community is friendly. Big pool with beautiful landscaping. Community has security gate and security throughout the property. Brought our corgi. Had a fenced in covered porch facing the water. We enjoyed watching the fish jump and boats go by. We were able to kayak through the canals. It was a relaxing vacation and close enough to SPI for nightlife. Our hostess was phenomenal. She called us when we got to the home. She made sure everything was in order and asked if we had questions. She was available by phone for any questions or concerns. We would definitely stay here again!"
