I say over looking this hotel so many times they are perfect for your buck happy made the decision to book here . Don’t have to pay so much to get a decent hotel. Our Townhouse is located within the Harlingen Country Club; a small, quiet, & very well-maintained golf community. Our neighborhood is vigilant with its own Police Dept. There’s nothing else like it: safe & quiet w/2000 sq. ft. of space; updated with a large kitchen & 2 living areas, an outdoor covered/open patio & 2 car garage. All 3 bedrooms are upstairs w/2.5 baths. Home has a modern & clean feel that’s relaxing & comfortable. You will sleep like a baby & absolutely enjoy your stay.

All the beds and bedding are new and very comfortable. The bottom floor has a light gray slate tile, upstairs is carpeted where all the bedrooms are located. House has multiple places to lounge and the kitchen has seating for eight and is well equipped. House has a foyer and rear patio that is half open and half covered (great area for kids to play). The community is beautiful and such a pleasure to take a morning run or an evening stroll. People are friendly and waive hello. It’s the friendliest and nicest place to live in Harlingen.

Another item of importance is the property location is close to both highways and a short drive to multiple dining and shopping areas.

Guests have the entire home and yard for themselves. The commercial laundry room, swimming pool, and club-house are shared with the La Mirada Country Estates community.

La Mirada Country Estates is a family friendly mobile home and RV park. Even though we allow families in the community, the property is very quiet, with neighbors respecting each other’s privacy and quiet time. The property has friendly on-site managers that can assist you to plan for activities, suggest activities, or places to visit.
Harlingen/McAllen area has shopping, nightlife, museums, outdoor recreation areas, a science center, as well as many locales where birdwatchers can find endemic and migratory species.

-Note: the Casita is situated in a subtropical region. Ants and roaches are endemic to this region of the country. We fumigate regularly and clean to insure the Casita is clean of anything that will attract these bugs. For that reason, we ask for your cooperation while you stay with us. Eat in the designated eating area and clean up any crumbs. Do NOT leave any food in the open on counters or shelves. Place them in containers or in the freezer. Also, place the garbage out I. The large container frequently to prevent bugs from having a reason to entree. If you get a multi legged visitor, use the bug spray under the kitchen cabinet and let us know where you spotted one and if it was alive.

Upon arrival there was no hot water. We contacted our host and was told about the hot-water switch by the sink. Not long after there was a knock on the door and it was the host, I guess to check on us? It felt invasive, but since she was there and we'd found a roach on the bed we told her about that. Her response was rather dismissive, telling us to contact the park manager ourselves if we found any more. We also asked for more towels but she said that's all we get for our 3-night stay. Later that day and for the rest of our stay we had problems with ants in the kitchen so we couldn't put food on the counter. The fridge was missing the bars that hold food in the door, and the shelves were too short so food would fall off if put too far in toward the back. The microwave and some kitchen supplies were not clean. The place smelled very musty, even with the overpowering scents they had plugged into various outlets. The sliding door to the bedroom was difficult to close. Others used our parking spots as overflow parking. Overall, I would not recommend this place."
