- "It is a family-owned property about a 15 min train ride to Zermatt. The owners, Maurizio and Carol are delightful. Their son Mica was extremely professional and helpful. The rooms are small and be prepared to have about a mile walk uphill from the train station. However, we were not aware that we could arrange pick up. And, Carol graciously drove us to the train station upon checkout. They decorated the dining room beautifully for Christmas; and, Maurizio (also a chef) prepared a 5-course dinner for us. To top it off, we shared grappa with them after dinner. A wonderful Christmas experience!! thank you Carol, Maurizio, and Mica."

- "Very beautiful place, we stayed two nights, had a delicious dinner made by their chef .very friendly . we would stay again .its a plus hotel " - "This hotel is not in Zermatt but in Randa which is about a 16 minute train ride from Zermatt. This means added cost and lost time whenever you need to go to town. That said, the hotel itself is good. The room was nice and clean with nice balcony giving a good view of the snow capped hills. The owner, Maurizio Monticelli, is a real character who does everything in excesses. Excessively friendly, excessively funny, excessively funny and excessively everything else. We dined at the restaurant where he cooks himself and the food was, again, excessively delicious. The breakfast was a let down though as there was really not much of a selection and what was there was all packaged stuff, nothing made fresh apart from the coffee. Another thing was the almost total lack of WiFi. This is an area that could be improved on. I was a little disappointed in that the booking mentioned a 10% discount on the food which Maurizio blatantly refused to honour. However, he made it up to us by offering us a free ride to the railway station at Tash to catch a train to Zermatt at our departure. All in all, a different experience from the norm but a pleasant experience. Enjoyed our stay there. "

Quiet apartment, about 40 m² / 440 sq ft, with a separate bedroom, a fully equipped kitchenette and with south facing balcony overlooking three 4000m / 13000 ft peaks. The apartment can sleep up to four adults. Only minutes and a fabulous train ride away from Zermatt and the Matterhorn. It is perfect in order to avoid the pricey Zermatt apartments and if you want to be able to cook dinner yourself. It is perfect for couples or a small family. And did I mention the pool!?!

The apartment is on the first floor but accessible by stairs or an elevator. The parking garage is accessible by the same elevator. It is a non smoking and pet free apartment. There are also taxis ride for hire to get into Zermatt. We have an arrangement with one taxi service and you get a discounted low price to get to Zermatt. - "Location of the property is about a 12 minute walk from the train station. Not bad when the weather is good but a little cumbersome if you have a lot of luggage as the sidewalks aren't great. The apartment itself was very comfortable and clean. Lots of afternoon sun made the balcony a great place to sit and enjoy the view of the mountain. Only bad part of the location is the gym equipment. We had a day off from skiing but wanted to do some light exercise. Rowing machine, exercise bike and cable pull machine are all in need of replacement as they all have parts that don't work or make excessive noise. The cable machine especially needs to be repaired as the cable itself is frayed and looks dangerous. Overall, a great place to stay."
