The hotel is within the city walls so you have to park in a lot outside the walls and walk in (hills) or the hotel can shuttle you to and from parking lot for a fee. San Gimignano is very busy during the day with tour buses etc. highly suggest an overnight stay to get the full experience and Cisterna is the perfect choice of hotel to soak in the history/ambiance of San Gimignano.
