Spend some time in the country for a few days and reconnect with family, friends and nature! There is no light pollution, so go outside and do some stargazing. I have a fire pit in the front yard for a cozy campfire and BYOM...bring your own marshmallows!

Triple Creek Farm is on the banks of Talladega Creek overlooking the historic Waldo Covered Bridge and old grist mill. Gold used to be mined in the local area and many modern day prospectors come from far and wide to pan Talladega Creek for gold. The farm is 20 acres of oaks, dogwoods, pines and wildflowers surrounded by the Talladega National Forest, with no neighbors in sight! It is nestled in the foothills of the Appalachians at the base of Cheaha Mountain.

You may want to spend your days fishing or tubing the creek or exploring the incredible spring display of wildflowers such as trillium, wild geranium and red buckeye. Perhaps you would enjoy mountain biking the miles of Talladega National Forest roads or the Chief Ladiga Rail Trial near by. Love hiking and backpacking, the Pinhoti Trail, the longest trail in Alabama, is just 2 miles away. Maybe you are a road biker and want to climb from Waldo up to the highest point in Alabama, Mt Cheaha. You can ride your bike out of the Triple Creek Farm drive way and do this.

Just a few miles away is Majestic Caverns Park, where you can explore a deep underground cave, and spend the day enjoying their many family fun activities.

Waldo is just outside the Talladega city limits. Talladega is home to the historic Ritz Theater and the annual April in Talladega pilgrimage of homes. So much fun to choose from... but, perhaps you just look forward to relaxing on the big front screened porch watching birds. Go for a walk and watch the lazy creek roll by.

Many folks tell me of the nostalgia of the old train that passes by several times a day. And kids get excited to see it. If you are a light sleeper and not a fan of trains, I provide earplugs and sound machines in the bedrooms.

Then, of course, if you are a Nascar fan... Waldo is just down the road (about 20 miles) from the Talladega Superspeedway! Planning to come to Dega to drive a race car on the fastest track in all the land? After a fast paced day of racing, come stay in the country and relax!

There is a full kitchen, but if you'd rather not cook, hop in the car and run to Talladega, 6 miles or Oxford, 20 miles, for a selections of restaurants, shops and movie theaters.

- "This is our second stay here, we love it! It’s so quiet and easy to unplug from our electronics and enjoy the peace and quiet. The creek is great and the kids enjoyed playing and exploring in it. It’s great that they provide everything! Games, movies, fire pit, grill, pictures of what you’ll see around the area and so much more! There is a train that goes past that may turn some people off but ear plugs and noise machines are provided in all the bedrooms so we were not bothered by them. Again love this place and the owners are super nice as well and reached out several times! We will definitely be back!"

The porches at night siting and listening to the sounds of nature and the creek was breath taking. Out of all the vacation rentals we have used this is by far the best we have had. The house has five bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, fireplace, sunroom and large screened-in porch. The beds consist of two king, one queen, 1 full and one set of bunk beds with a full on the bottom and twin on top plus a trundle bed in the livingroom. Completely furnished with central air-conditioning, dishwasher, stove microwave, coffee pot, cookware, charcoal grill, television with cable, DVD player, and outside stereo. To keep cost down we ask guest to bring Linens and towels.

Pontoon boats are available to rent at Poorhouse Mariana. Do not use my neighbors boat ramp or ask them. We do not have a boat ramp. Poorhouse marina is 2 miles from house by road and water. Please keep off of grass after heavy rains with cars and trucks. Please do not park or drive between house and lake. Thank You

This home has some of the BEST views on the lake. Stationed in a large cove just off the main channel, the sunset views are breathtaking all summer long. It is a quiet area with generally calm waters good for swimming, paddle boarding, or wake surfing. Its a fisherman's delight with some good spots nearby... but shhh its a secret! Boat ramp on site. Pontoon boats can be rented nearby at Poor House Marina.
The home is all one level with spacious living area. Large deck spans the back of the house, perfect for soaking up the view. Flat back yard with a short, easy stroll to the water.

Cabin on the lake with 2 piers. 1 has a slide and 2 diving boards. The Cabin has a king bed and 2 queen beds, 2 full bathrooms and a full kitchen. We have a pool table, dart board, corn hole boards , ladder ball and kayaks for your use. We have a private boat ramp and plenty of parking for boats and trailers. We also live on the property in a separate residence, we offer no contact check in and we do not bother you unless you need something from us. The cabin is located above the the main house due to the flood plain.

Private boat launch and additional boat/trailer parking is available at our main house, located half a mile away from the cottage. There is no charge for access or parking.

- "Our family with teenagers loved our time at Andy and Lara's house - floating on the river during good weather and playing ping pong and pool during stormy weather. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook. We appreciated the big Brita filter in the fridge. There was an unexpected maintenance issue on our first full day, and Andy and Lara managed to get repairs done on a Friday night and made sure our stay wasn't disrupted. Communication was always quick and helpful."

We also have marked trail access to off-property gems like Talladega Creek.
All sites allow one vehicle to park nearby unless otherwise noted. Additional parking is available a short walk away.

This 1904 Queen Anne Victorian is even more charming than ever before! The home has never been vacant as the story goes: Sally Rogers was widowed for the second time soon after her second husband built the house for her. She was left to raise her three children alone and the home became a boarding house of necessity for singles and young married couples with no children. One of her daughters lived in the home well into her old age. The house has been well-maintained over the years serving as a dentist office, hostel, and events venue. It has always been a bit plain through the years. Rusty and I bought it and are in process of adding a bit of well-deserved filigree to this gloriously well-preserved historic Beauty. We've added mural work here and there and wainscoting, created a dark academia themed elegant drawing room, installed a gorgeous old world Victorian pecan wood kitchen, a foyer crystal chandelier and marble top bar. The breezy wrap around porch faces the 1834 Presbyterian Church dating to the year of Talladega's founding. Located one block from Talladega's town square and an evening stroll from the historic Ritz Theater, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time when you walk back home from a concert. Luxurious and laid back in the heart of downtown Talladega and a one block stroll from the Historic Ritz Theatre, this home is the last of it's kind on the old church side of North St E. Staying here, you feel the character and history facing the 1834 Presbyterian Church. The apartment is complete with a beautiful balcony, full kitchen, laundry, two claw foot bathrooms, one with a shower fixture, two King bedrooms, a sitting room with mini fridge and Keurig, and a play/art studio/ library room. This beautiful 1904 Queen Anne Victorian is our primary residence. We are renovating the first floor to be an upscale private lodging and events hosting space in the coming months. We're happy to show you around and you're welcome to use the wrap around front porch, back deck and courtyard. Your upstairs sitting room has a queen size air mattress for extra sleeping arrangements and breakfast may be served in the dining room on the first floor by request. You have access to the entire upstairs apartment and the porches and courtyard below. We'll give you a tour of the first floor spaces by request. We can be reached by messaging anytime. Please don't hesitate. We do our best to respond quickly. Wave to Mr. Melvin at the garage next door. Everybody knows Mr. Melvin and that's why you'll hear an occasional honk from passers by:) On the other side is a very quiet law office. Talladega rolls up the streets at 6pm so you'll feel like you have the whole downtown area to yourselves. You can play music on the balcony into the wee hours of the morning if you wish. The closest neighbor is up on the hill and the sound doesn't carry that far. We sleep in the back of the first floor. You won't disturb us a bit. Please make yourself at home.

- "I rented the cabin for my family for son's college graduation. The cabin itself was great as well as the yard and parking. I love the wrap around porch and all of the seating and table combinations. Each side was different which made for great conversations.The TV and it's location is slightly noisy for the two king bedrooms. "

Your private deck has Adirondack chairs, water dispenser, coffee maker, and your own Solo Stove fire pit. Each A-frame serves as a canvas for a local visual artist.

Pets are welcome, however we have a 2 dog limit in our Couples Glamps and Safari Tents.

Glamps #1-3 are situated in a loose semi-circle facing away from each other for privacy. A common area with fire pit, grill, picnic tables, and additional seating completes the area. Coming with friends? Rent all three glamps and the common area becomes your private group hangout spot!
Bohamia is a 268 acre private forest retreat surrounded by 400,000 acres of the Talladega National Forest. You'll feel like a world away even though you are about an hour's drive from Birmingham and Atlanta. Bohamia is best explored on foot or bicycle (or kayak in the case of our pond and nearby Talladega Lake). We have miles of marked trails and many unmarked trails for adventurous types. We also have marked trail access to off-property gems like Talladega Creek.
All sites allow one vehicle to park nearby unless otherwise noted. Additional parking is available a short walk away.

We are ready! Are you? Spacious two bedroom (three twins beds, one full, and a queen bed) and two bathroom home on five acres, near Logan Martin and Talladega. Large area for hosting a cookout. Also, there is a full length front porch and screened back porch to relax and curl up with a good book. There is an electrical outlet on both porches and one electrical outlet on the outside of the back porch (can charge boats). We have recently added a rolling pier. Enjoy a short trek to the water and maybe catch fish for supper.
Fur babies are welcomed. WIFI is provided.

Housecleaning provided per bedroom (weekly or biweekly). If interested, request🙂.

- "We loved the property" - "We stayed at this lovely home for over a month, and it was overall a great place to stay. The house is exactly as the pictures in the listing show. It has room for many people, so it comfortably fit 3 of us. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need. The bathrooms and bedrooms are too with plenty of towels, toilet paper, blankets, pillows, etc. The back porch was one of our favorite spots, it is enclosed and has a swing where you can enjoy being outdoors without bugs and the hot sun. The driveway and yard are large and well kept, the grass was cut and kept up during our stay. The lake is a short walk away. There is a dirt road behind the house that takes you down to the lake and the small dock is lovely if you want to fish or just sit and enjoy the view. The property manager always responded quickly to any of our concerns, and they were great to communicate with. We loved our stay and wish we could’ve stayed longer."

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful mountainside cabin. Come fish and play in Talladega Creek or hike along Alabama's longest hiking trail, Pinhoti Trail, that runs through our property.
