Triple Creek Farm is on the banks of Talladega Creek overlooking the historic Waldo Covered Bridge and old grist mill. Gold used to be mined in the local area and many modern day prospectors come from far and wide to pan Talladega Creek for gold. The farm is 20 acres of oaks, dogwoods, pines and wildflowers surrounded by the Talladega National Forest, with no neighbors in sight! It is nestled in the foothills of the Appalachians at the base of Cheaha Mountain.

You may want to spend your days fishing or tubing the creek or exploring the incredible spring display of wildflowers such as trillium, wild geranium and red buckeye. Perhaps you would enjoy mountain biking the miles of Talladega National Forest roads or the Chief Ladiga Rail Trial near by. Love hiking and backpacking, the Pinhoti Trail, the longest trail in Alabama, is just 2 miles away. Maybe you are a road biker and want to climb from Waldo up to the highest point in Alabama, Mt Cheaha. You can ride your bike out of the Triple Creek Farm drive way and do this.

Just a few miles away is Majestic Caverns Park, where you can explore a deep underground cave, and spend the day enjoying their many family fun activities.

Waldo is just outside the Talladega city limits. Talladega is home to the historic Ritz Theater and the annual April in Talladega pilgrimage of homes. So much fun to choose from... but, perhaps you just look forward to relaxing on the big front screened porch watching birds. Go for a walk and watch the lazy creek roll by.

Many folks tell me of the nostalgia of the old train that passes by several times a day. And kids get excited to see it. If you are a light sleeper and not a fan of trains, I provide earplugs and sound machines in the bedrooms.

Then, of course, if you are a Nascar fan... Waldo is just down the road (about 20 miles) from the Talladega Superspeedway! Planning to come to Dega to drive a race car on the fastest track in all the land? After a fast paced day of racing, come stay in the country and relax!

There is a full kitchen, but if you'd rather not cook, hop in the car and run to Talladega, 6 miles or Oxford, 20 miles, for a selections of restaurants, shops and movie theaters.

- "This is our second stay here, we love it! It’s so quiet and easy to unplug from our electronics and enjoy the peace and quiet. The creek is great and the kids enjoyed playing and exploring in it. It’s great that they provide everything! Games, movies, fire pit, grill, pictures of what you’ll see around the area and so much more! There is a train that goes past that may turn some people off but ear plugs and noise machines are provided in all the bedrooms so we were not bothered by them. Again love this place and the owners are super nice as well and reached out several times! We will definitely be back!"

The house has five bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, fireplace, sunroom and large screened-in porch. The beds consist of two king, one queen, 1 full and one set of bunk beds with a full on the bottom and twin on top plus a trundle bed in the livingroom. Completely furnished with central air-conditioning, dishwasher, stove microwave, coffee pot, cookware, charcoal grill, television with cable, DVD player, and outside stereo. To keep cost down we ask guest to bring Linens and towels.

Pontoon boats are available to rent at Poorhouse Mariana. Do not use my neighbors boat ramp or ask them. We do not have a boat ramp. Poorhouse marina is 2 miles from house by road and water. Please keep off of grass after heavy rains with cars and trucks. Please do not park or drive between house and lake. Thank You

This home has some of the BEST views on the lake. Stationed in a large cove just off the main channel, the sunset views are breathtaking all summer long. It is a quiet area with generally calm waters good for swimming, paddle boarding, or wake surfing. Its a fisherman's delight with some good spots nearby... but shhh its a secret! Boat ramp on site. Pontoon boats can be rented nearby at Poor House Marina.
The home is all one level with spacious living area. Large deck spans the back of the house, perfect for soaking up the view. Flat back yard with a short, easy stroll to the water.

Cabin on the lake with 2 piers. 1 has a slide and 2 diving boards. The Cabin has a king bed and 2 queen beds, 2 full bathrooms and a full kitchen. We have a pool table, dart board, corn hole boards , ladder ball and kayaks for your use. We have a private boat ramp and plenty of parking for boats and trailers. We also live on the property in a separate residence, we offer no contact check in and we do not bother you unless you need something from us. The cabin is located above the the main house due to the flood plain.

- Kitchen fully stocked with dishes, cookware, bakeware, spices, small appliances.
- Traditional coffee maker, k-cup maker, electric kettle, and French press on the coffee bar.
- Living room has 2 leather loveseats, electric fireplace, 50" smart TV with cable, books, games, toys, and binoculars for bird watching.
- Dining area seats 6.
- Elevated back deck has bar height table, gas grill, & beautiful view of the water!
- Wheelchair accessible front entrance.

- Fully accessible waterfront deck with pier that connects to the floating dock.
- Single-slip floating dock with bumpers and cleats (tie-downs and boat bumpers are NOT included).
- Beach-style loungers included for dock use.

For Doggos:
- large bed in living room (if you don't want to sleep with the humans).

For Tourney Guests:
- driveway accommodates 2 full-size trucks and trailered bass boats (we suggest you back your rigs into the driveway)

For Infants/Toddlers:
- high chair, baby bathtub, changing mattress, Pack & Play, and jumper available at no extra charge.

Need more space? Consider booking 2 homes to accommodate your large group! The "Hideaway" bungalow (hosted by Krista) is conveniently located next door to the Cottage.

Private boat launch and additional boat/trailer parking is available at our main house, located half a mile away from the cottage. There is no charge for access or parking.

- "We loved our stay. We needed a quick family and dog friendly for mornings and nights. This was perfect and cozy. We spent the days hiking the nearby Talladega National Forest and the evenings resting and watching the sunset in the AC with the stunning views! Cooked ourselves breakfast and dinner. Walking the dogs through the neighborhood with the kids, neighbors were nice. Wish we could have stayed for fishing off the dock and spent time on the river. Next time!"
