*Starlink internet, while very high speed (200-300 Mbps download and 50-100 Mbps upload) and generally reliable, can have outages due to heavy weather or other technical issues. Please be aware that, at the time of writing this guide, Starlink is still a new and developing technology and may not be as reliable as fiber or cable. It is constantly improving and we experience many weeks on end with no issues and some of the highest internet speeds available on the market, however, we wanted to provide you with accurate information and encourage you to do your own research on Starlink's performance. We do not offer refunds for any unintended internet issues you may experience. We do, however, have Ziply Internet back-up (about 20Mbps download) and a land line telephone with free long distance calling available for your use in the case of any outages or technical issues.

- "Timber Moon Getaway was just the relaxing time I was looking for. The house is beautiful. The kitchen was stocked with coffee, tea and hot chocolate. There was a spice drawer and a cupboard with miscellaneous oils and vinegars. Even had oatmeal and waffle mix. The sound in the house travels though due to open concept, so not a lot of privacy. I could hear the family members up stairs pretty well. The only thing I would of liked was a TV downstairs. The check in was so easy. They have tutorials on everything you need to know. One more thing, the river is not as close as I thought either. Despite those things I mentioned I would definitely stay there again. Amazing time"

he greatroomis dominated by a gas stone fireplace, with antique casement windows overlook the wraparound porch. The nook is a quiet, serene spot for reading or sleeping, and the kitchen is completely furnished to accommodate serious cooks, as well as those seeking a vacation from cooking.

In the well-stocked kitchen you'll find a programmable drip coffee maker, coffee filters, coffee grinder, a French Press, a Keurig, microwave, toaster oven, electric water kettle, placemats, cloth napkins, tea towels and a British hotel teapot with a copper cozy. All this is in addition to a full set of cookware, flatware, glasses, gas grill dinnerware for four, and full-size appliances. Eva's Cottage sits just a few steps from our sandy beach, down a sloping path. It is an idyllic location with many eagles, heron, hawks, and deer, a large 20' deep swimming hole and year-round waterfall. The land surrounding the Cottage and across the river is private and protected. The temperate climate is never too hot or too cold. [Note: beach is shared by residents of nearby home, but they are quiet and respectful of our guests. Please note also that beach fires and fishing from the beach are not allowed (there is great fishing just 1/2 mile downriver, on the other side of the Salmon Falls bridge).]

This 28.5 acre retreat includes a large and rare stand of old-growth Douglas fir, Western cedar, hemlock and maple; some of which are estimated to be more than 300 years old. Eva's descendants steward the land and maintain the forest with an eye to future generations' enjoyment. You'll have access to four trails along the property, so be sure to bring your hiking boots!

A good supermarket, drugstore, and other services are about 14 miles away in the town of Washougal. The location provides easy, year-round access to hiking, boating, fishing, skiing and more. The Washougal is one of only two completely unpolluted rivers in the region. It offers fine fishing, whitewater rafting, canoeing and kayaking as it flows into the mighty Columbia River just a few miles to the south. All manner of outdoor activities are close by, yet the setting itself is secluded and free from the noise and distractions of everyday life.

- "We enjoyed a 4 day birthday weekend at this lovely cottage. It was exactly as described. We felt welcome right away with fresh flowers, wine and breakfast fixings there to greet us. We enjoyed hiking the nearby trails w/ our dogs and relaxing evenings by the big stone fireplace playing backgammon, a game we used to play before kids. Now, with an empty nest the cottage afforded us the opportunity to just be a twosome again. We are looking forward to our next visit. The lodge is built into the side of a hill, so you'll enter on the upper level, through the carport (that has room for two vehicles). Upon entering, make sure to slip off your shoes as this is a tread-free home. Plus, it’s more relaxing!

Gather on the deck to check in with your friends as the sun sets. Late at night, why not zone out in the media room, with its chaise and 60-inch plasma TV with Blu-ray and streaming Netflix? The chaise sofa also converts into a queen-size bed for those sleeping in this room.

- "Better than pictures" - "We flew into Portland, rented a car & stayed four nights. The scenery and cabin were both gorgeous! We could have happily just stayed at the cabin the entire time. The only drawback for us is that we arrived in Portland separately so there were a couple of 2:00 a.m. trips to the airport. Due to the narrow, curvy roads & rainy conditions the trip took closer to 40 minutes each time. Our party of five was impressed with the cabin's features. The stone fireplace is stunning! As I said before we would have had a fire, but didn't get the message to the correct number. There is no cell phone coverage, but we were able to communicate using Wi-Fi & Apps to stay in contact with other local family. There is also a landline in the cabin. "

We understand that your furry friends are part of the family, which is why we're delighted to welcome your well-behaved dogs to Little Creek Cottage. For a small pet fee of $50 (for up to two dogs), your four-legged companions can join in the fun and relaxation of your countryside getaway. Please note that the pet fee must be settled before check-in. While the yard is not fenced, we kindly ask you to keep in mind that wildlife may also be present, ensuring a safe and enjoyable stay for all.
Please note that there are steps up into the cottage as well as between the porch and the deck.
Outdoor security cameras are installed on the property.

Throughout the year, we rotate the alpacas and sheep to assist with grass mowing. They might be in a designated enclosure on the cottage property during your visit. The owners and farmhands will care for the animals and will have access to this area.

During the summer months, there may be a burn ban in effect.

Located on the Columbia River, this Washougal hotel features a sauna, indoor heated pool and rooms with free Wi-Fi. It is 1.5 miles from Pendleton Woolen Mills outlet store. A 32-inch flat-screen cable TV is available at the Best Western Plus Port of Camas-Washougal Convention Center. The rooms also include coffee-making facilities, a refrigerator and a microwave. A daily breakfast is served each morning at the Best Western Plus Inn. Parkersville Best Western Plus Inn & Suites includes a gym with treadmills and stationary bikes. Guests can relax in the hot tub or use the business center. The Columbia River Gorge is 4.4 miles away. Best Western Plus Inn & Suites Parkersville is 9.4 miles from the Washougal MX Track.

Nestled on the banks just above the North Fork of the Washougal River, this wonderful retreat is the perfect place to get away from it all. The surrounding beauty and tranquil sounds are something to experience any time of the year.

Upon arriving you are greeted with a long circular driveway leading to the cabin make it perfect for multiple cars even if towing a trailer or boat. The front deck offers some comfy casual seating with one of the two fire-tables available for your enjoyment.

As you enter through the front door, you are immediately ensconced in a cabin feel that radiates warmth and comfort. The open floor plan combines the living, dining, and kitchen layout creating a fantastic space for your small group or family to enjoy and make memories together. Every piece of the décor and furnishing was curated to help create that perfect blend of cabin style and comfort. The kitchen is fully equipped for any of your culinary desires. Also tucked away in the corner is a wood burning stove. If you are travelling with kiddos do be careful as it does get incredibly warm when in use.

One of the best amenities has to be the backyard deck. It extends out and practically hangs over the river below. You can hear the water rush across and around the rocks and fallen trees which makes for the perfect backdrop to take in all the other sights and sounds of the forests beyond. The round fire-table makes for a great spot to consume any of your grilling creations from the nearby BBQ as well.

Ascending upstairs, you'll find the two bedrooms. One is a traditional style bedroom with a king bed. Just off one side there is a small deck with seating room for two. The other bedroom has a twin over twin bunk bed and a small half bath attached to it.

There is little doubt The North Fork Retreat will be a wonderful location for you to stay while enjoying all the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions at all.

Winter Activities:
-Sno-Park: Oldman Pass - sledding, tubing, cross country skiing. Snowshoeing. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trails. Permits can be purchased online.

Cabin Restrictions:
-No fishing is allowed in front of the cabin or anywhere on the North Fork.
-If you visit the river please stay in the area in front of the cabin. Neighbors own down to the river and we need to stay on our property.

Well furnished and decorated. The bed was very comfy. It was remote and quiet, which is just what we had hoped for. But still an easy drive to some of the waterfalls and other wonders in the Gorge. We didn’t do as much of that stuff as we initially had planned, though, because relaxing at the cabin was so perfect."
