Laurel Hill Farm was originally built in 1762 with several additions in the following centuries. The house has been restored and updated to include modern amenities. Located in Loudoun wine and horse country, off paved Hamilton Station Road, this property includes 30 acres of rolling Blue Ridge farmland in Waterford. Nearby attractions include over 30 wineries and breweries within ten miles, a less than a seven mile drive from the heart of Leesburg and a 25 minute drive to Harper's Ferry. Other unique attributes are a murmuring stream emanating from a stone spring house, an 1824 stone barn, and an outdoor patio with hardscape lighting.

Nestled on the private, 74-acre, Scarlet Springs Farm, in Waterford, Virginia, The Spring House is a getaway unlike any other. Step back in time as you enter the historic home, built in the early 1800’s, now outfitted with all the modern amenities for comfort and fresh, country-chic décor. Enjoy your morning coffee as the sun rises on the spacious deck, overlooking a spring-fed pond. Watch the mini-highlands graze & keep an eye out for the many morning animal visitors including deer, rabbits, hawks, wild turkeys, foxes, groundhogs, and cranes.

The space
The Spring House has been beautifully renovated to maintain historic integrity, while providing all the modern comforts, including AC & heating, filtered well-water, all new appliances including dishwasher, oven, stovetop, microwave and washer/dryer. The kitchen includes a Keurig K-Cup, large drip and stovetop Percolator coffee makers, a toaster, blender and all of the pots, pans, etc. you might need during your stay. Gather your friends and family around the farmhouse kitchen table for meals, or relax and read in the cozy mudroom. There are three bedrooms upstairs; the Blue Moon room has two full beds, the Lady in Red room has one queen bed and the Purple Rain room has one king bed as well as a make-up vanity for extra getting ready space. There is one full bathroom upstairs with a tub/shower combination. Downstairs in the Yellow Submarine library room, there is one twin bed plus one twin trundle as well as a full-sized desk for comfortable remote working. Our high-speed internet is available for your use, and has the bandwidth for video conference calls/zoom meetings as well as streaming television. There is one full bathroom downstairs with a stall shower.

Guests are welcome to walk around the gravel driveways around Scarlet Springs Farm, as well as enjoying the Spring House’s one-acre fenced in backyard. Please note that this is a working farm. There are horses that live on-site. We kindly ask guests not to touch or feed the horses, or open or enter any fenced areas or pastures, including the historic stone bank-barn. We are happy to give you a tour of the farm if you’d like!

Other things to note
The Spring House is located off of a private gravel driveway and you must walk down stairs to enter the home. With it being an old home, there are a few places with step-ups and step-downs inside the home to be mindful of. We are in the country and we live on a farm, so animals/insects outnumber humans. Expect to hear friendly 'moos' from our mini-highland cows.

The only things that could be better would be higher speed internet, having plastic plates and bowls for kids, and a better shower head for the downstairs shower which sprays crazy. None of these things detracted from our experience as a whole. I hope we have a reason to come back to this area because I would love to stay here again!"

Lower level villa with French doors leading to private garden patio is lovely location for your visit to Loudoun County. The apartment has queen size bed, tv, WiFi, comfy couch and beautiful walk-in shower. This is the basement of our home but has a separate entrance through back French doors and very private. The upstairs is blocked by large door.We are located 2 miles from historic Waterford. Very close to local attractions wineries/breweries and some wonderful farm to table restaurants.

Nestled on a hillside overlooking the tributary to the Potomac this glammed out cottage has everything you need for a romantic getaway. Immersed just outside the tall glass walls is a private deck overlooking a forest for miles. Keep an eye out for wildlife, you might get lucky and see a couple of bald eagles on your visit. This is 5-Star live-able art, built from years of reclaimed lumber and timber raised and cut on the property and constructed to be private. Your only complaint will be having to go home the next day :). Cleaning precautions for everyone are taken to extreme lengths. All linens, pillows,ect Completely removed and cleaned. All surfaces receive commercial disinfectant and upon the request of the guest we can cordinate fogging services, extended vacancies prior to stays ect. We apologize in advance that some normal things are removed completely like printed house manuals ect. We ask that you remove all trash and a few other things upon departing to help us stay safe as well.

Being in the main living room was so relaxing and just fun to imagine the history of this blacksmith forge! The king sized bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept on in a rental house, so that was very much appreciated! The whole vibe of the house showed how the owners care for it and how they care for the guest experience. We took a morning to visit Harpers Ferry, which was only 20 mins and a great way to spend the morning! The farm was lovely to walk around, we saw chickens, a rooster, a turkey, horses, and very friendly pups. Thanks so much, we had a great weekend!"
