There are two bedrooms. One King size bed can be broken apart into two XL twin beds if needed.. The second bedroom is set up with a pair of antique cannonball twin beds made up with cozy toile bedding.

There is a very large closet in the master bedroom that that has a window and can be set up with a crib, if desired.

A large and well-appointed full bathroom with large vanity and storage and walk in shower is off the master bedroom. There is another half bath down the hall.

There is a completely separate lower level apartment. Access is separate and car parking is separate and not visible from upstairs. It was once occupied by a senior writer for the Chronicle of the Horse.

This apartment has been remodeled and is available as an add on for this property or as a separate unit. It is has its own living space with small kitchen, large and newly remodeled bathroom with walk in glass shower, and vanity with lots of counter space. The bedroom has a queen bed, walk in closet, washer and dryer and a large desk for a work space.

The parking is tucked away behind a great deal of landscaping and separate also from the upper level. The HVAC units are separate and there is heavy duty insulation between the floors.

The Hunt Box is located on our family farm where we raise Christmas trees, herbs and flowers, right in the heart of Virginia’s Hunt Country. In 2002 we built this house based on our studies of the architecture of Colonial Williamsburg. We gave it a tidewater story-and-a-half appearance with standing seam metal roof, clapboard siding, stone and stucco foundation, cozy front porch and second floor dormer windows. The interior is highlighted by the stone fireplace and rough beam mantel, large light-filled windows that overlook barns, woods and pastures. Most unique is the wide plank flooring of oak and chestnut which originated from a hundred year old barn in Sperryville, VA, which we had dismantled and made into flooring for the cottage. The stone for the fireplace was unearthed here on the farm. The configuration of bedrooms is: the top floor (2nd story) has a large master bedroom with king bed, dressing table, dresser and sitting area, plus flat screen TV and walk-in closet, as well as a smaller bedroom with an antique iron and brass double bed and corner sitting area; there is a shared double vanity bathroom on this level. The first floor has an entry area leading to the formal 'great room' with the dining area. There is a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and a separate mudroom/laundry room. The third bedroom is on this level, with a walk-in closet, full bath and flat screen TV. This serves as a sitting room/den during the day and uses a queen pull-out sofa for overnight. This room leads to a lovely covered stone porch with pastoral and sunset views from the old-fashioned porch swing. We are conveniently located 6 miles from Middleburg, 38 miles West of DC, 35 miles East of the Shenandoah Valley, on a quiet country lane in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

This Williamsburg reproduction guest cottage is decorated as a traditional English Hunt Box, with equine art and memorabilia, lovely antiques, oriental carpets on wide-plank oak and chestnut floors, a stone fireplace and high-end bed linens. The cottage would be an excellent home base while visiting Washington, D.C. or for the business person doing an extended stay in the DC Metro area or the Dulles Corridor and wanting space for their family to visit on weekends. The Atoka House is a beautiful log cabin with the original part dating back to the late 1700's. The home has 2 full bedrooms and sleeps 6 and 2.5 bathrooms. The property is 5 minutes from Middleburg and Upperville, and 10 minutes to The Plains and Marshall.

When you step through the front door, you are greeted by the original log cabin. There is a guest bedroom on the main floor with a full bath and a bathtub. A washer and dryer are also on the main floor. The kitchen has a coffee bar and all standard kitchen amenities. The kitchen also has access to the wrap around deck with stunning sunset views.

Upstairs, you will find a warm and cozy family room with original hardwood floors, logs and beams. This room also includes a pull out queen size couch and a 55" smart TV. The primary bedroom has a king bed, incredible views to the west and the bathroom has a large walk-in shower with heated floor.

Staying closer to this home away from home is also an option, with over 13 acres of property, including an awe-inspiring 2 acre market garden where Pam and her team grow beautiful, organic, seasonal vegetables. There are also many animals moving around the farm, both domestic and wild! The farm has chickens and sheep year-round, as well as pigs and turkeys seasonally. The original stone house dates back to the 1800s and an addition created a large, modern and open kitchen with a formal dining room, formal living room, and spacious theater room with a large wine cellar.

The kitchen opens up onto an outdoor covered patio with a large dining table and chairs overlooking the expansive gardens and stone walls. From there, you can enjoy access to the attached sun room, complete with ceiling fans, stone walls, and a comfortable lounging sectional. The sunroom’s doors open out to the back lawns and pool as well as into the formal indoor dining room, which boasts a wood-burning fireplace.

The living room opens onto the back patio and offers views into the front and back gardens with towering oak trees. This Restoration Hardware room is equipped with a gas fireplace, setting a perfect tone for morning coffee or cozy evenings.

The library has views of the horse paddocks and front gardens and faces the front walkways and front door and offers a small couch, desk, flatscreen TV, and wood-burning fireplace.

There are two staircases leading upstairs, where you will find the spacious master suite with attached bath, a separate large Roman spa tub and shower, a lounge room, and the laundry room.

Upstairs there are also four guest bedrooms that share two fully renovated bathrooms between them. Two bedrooms offer stunning views of the pool and gardens, and the other two bedrooms offer sweeping views of the scenic front horse pastures and lawns.

You may have as much or as little interaction with the horses onsite as you would like. There are plenty of opportunities for horse petting and carrot-feeding.

Walk to the town of Middleburg, the quaint historic town, a favorite playground of the Mint Julip Society. October 27, 1963, JFK attended church on this particular farm at St. Stephen's.
