Lots to do and see in the region, including vineyards, medieval towns, hiking, kayaking, and more. The hostess, Mrs. Wendling is very helpful, flexible, and kind. We intend to return someday. Overall, a truly lovely holiday - we would love to return to Collioure again, there is so much still to do! One small thing to note may be that the property has quite a steep hill up to it - this didn’t bother us at all but can be a little unpleasant in the middle of the day. A few quirks I thought nice to know: The home does share the downstairs outside terrace area with the adjoining apartment- no one was in it at the time of our stay so we didn’t bump into anyone- also the upstairs terrace is far better anyways so we hardly used the downstairs outdoor area. Access to the upstairs terrace as well as the upstairs living room and kitchen is via two paths- 1. Through the main bedroom suite and 2. Via a small outdoor stair case. Some thought has gone into the paintings and pictures on the walls making for pleasant living. there is one shower room and one separate toilet inside the property and an outside toilet. The host was very friendly and hospitable. Collioure is a stunning sea side resort, full of restaurants, art galleries and craft shops. It is not difficult to imagine why it has attracted artists for centuries. There is a small market in the town and a bigger supermarket 15 mins drive in the neighbouring port. With Spain less than an hour drive, this area is well placed for sight seeing-or just taking it easy relaxing and absorbing the surrounding beauty."
