Magnificent sea views are enjoyed from almost every room of this spacious 350m2 Catalonian villa. The large sandy beach of Sa Riera is a 5 min walk away with bars, restaurants and a supermarket. Two further beaches: Platja Illa Roja & Platja de Pals can be accessed by foot in under 15 minutes. The beautiful historic town centre of Begur with its diverse shops, restaurants, bars and markets is a short drive or 30-minute walk away. With a private pool and several outdoor seating areas, the villa provides an idyllic setting to enjoy quality time relaxing with family and friends.

The villa is spread over 3 floors.

On the ground floor is a self-contained one-bedroom apartment sleeping 2-4 people with sea views. It has a large en suite double bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and large dining/living room with double sofa bed. Ideal if you wish to rent the villa with another family, grandparents or friends. There is also outdoor seating where you can enjoy a coffee or glass or wine with beautiful views of the surrounding hillside and sea. The large double garage is also on the ground floor with utility room equipped with a washing machine, dryer and ice-machine.

The first and second floors benefit from mesmerising sea views throughout capable of sleeping 6.

The first floor consists of a large living room with comfortable sofas and dining area. A modern open kitchen fully equipped with coffee machines and juicers spills out onto the terrace where there is a 10m pool with shower, large dining table, outdoor lounge seating area and two barbecues: traditional coal & gas. There is also a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom on this floor.

The second-floor features another living room with double sofa bed and a 55" smart TV with Astra, Sky movies, Sky sport, Netflix etc. There are two ensuite double bedrooms on either side and a large balcony terrace with stunning views, comfortable seating area and a hammock; perfect for an afternoon siesta!

All 3 bedrooms on the first and second floors have newly installed A/C. Guests have full access to the entire villa and 100 Mbps fibre-optic wifi runs throughout.

Many of our guests enjoy spending time at the villa and Sa Riera but popular activities such as boating, water sports, scuba-diving, snorkelling, golf, horse-riding, karting, mountain-biking, hiking, tennis and shopping are all located within a 5km radius. Pals golf course is only a 5 minute drive away and is one of the most beautiful and established courses in Catalonia. Emporda Golf with two championship 18 hole golf courses, a new contemporary hotel and first class leisure facilities is a 20 minute drive from the villa.

The villa is situated on a hillside on a quiet lane in the peaceful village of Mas Mato. - "The house had everything we needed and was in a lovely quiet road. The pool area was great and bigger than we were expecting from the photos. It was a 20 minute walk from Sa Riera beach although coming back up the steps was quite hard work! There were 4 of us staying in total (all adults) and there was plenty of room. The villa itself is comfortable with a large inside sitting room/dining area and a large outside space with a BBQ. A car is necessary, particularly if you want to explore the surrounding coast line and beautiful beaches, although it is possible to walk to the local supermarkets and Sa Riera beach, which are both about a 20 minute walk. The area is very hilly so if your party is comprised of very young children or elderly persons then this is something to bear in mind. Begur itself is beautiful and unspoilt. This also goes for Sa Riera, which is the beach closest to the villa. Sigrid is extremely helpful and easily contactable. She lives in the local area herself and is therefore able to offer lots of advice about what to see and do. Highlights include breakfasting every morning on the smaller front terrace which enjoys direct sunlight and warmth from about 8am onwards, the weekly market in Begur, the Dali museum which is a short drive away and rambling all over the fantastic coastal paths. A great holiday all round."

This is a unique villa designed specially to take advantage of its magnificent position high on the side of a beautiful wooded valley and overlooking the sea. It has two spacious terraces and a courtyard to enjoy outside living and is just 5 minutes from the sandy beach at Sa Riera. (There is no garden )

It is important to note that its position means that the villa can only be accessed from the road by steps and that there are further steps between many areas inside the house, making it unsuitable for those with limited mobility or young children. Cars can be parked safely on the quiet road below the house.
On the ground floor the living areas have a light and airy feel and lovely views. In particular, the dining room is a special feature of this house with double aspect windows onto both the secluded courtyard at the back and the enormous furnished front terrace with a small pool and extensive sea views.
In addition there is a comfortable living room divided into two parts by steps, thus giving two distinct areas to enjoy, and there is access to the back courtyard.
The fourth bedroom is found on the mezzanine level above the living room and has a single bed with room for an extra folding bed if required.
There are two bedrooms on this floor with the second bedroom accessed through the first. Both with A/C. They share a bathroom and toilet. Also on the ground floor is the modern, well-equipped kitchen.

Beautiful new villa for 8 people, located less than 2 km from Begur. The villa was completed since May 2015 and was just added to our website. It got Wifi Internet, Air-conditioning and a private pool.

The house has four double bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom on the top floor, with bathroom ensuite and A/C. On the lower floor there are 3 more bedrooms and an A/C in the corridor of that floor to cool these bedrooms. The house offers stunning views of the Mediterranean and in a few minutes drive, you are at the beautiful beach of Sa Riera. In the garden you can enjoy the beautifully landscaped pool, surroundes by grass and the nice terrace.
Special with this property is the Tower, in which the living room is located. On the garden side is the very complete open kitchen. The house is equipped with Wifi Internet and TV.

In a few minutes you are in the beautiful authentic Catalan village of Begur. Here you will find good restaurants, nice terraces and beautiful boutiques. Less than 7 miles away are the beautiful golf courses of Pals (www.golfplatjadepals.com), an absolutely gorgeous and challenging course.
A short distance away you will find the beautiful beaches of Aiguablava, Tamariu, Llafranc, Sa Tuna and the aforementioned Sa Riera.

- "Great house!" - "We enjoyed our stay at Villa Tullipan. The house is spacious and the small garden was adequate for our needs. The pool was unheated but warm enough to swim daily at end May. The porch was a lovely place to sit in the sun and the view of the sea was beautiful. All beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment. Some points to be aware of: The driveway was somewhat tricky as it sloped away from the gate and it was easy to scrape the underside of the car on the metal track for the gate as you enter and exit the property. The villa has a nice house on one side, but otherwise is bordered by waste ground and weeds (not very attractive surroundings). It is overlooked by houses higher up the hill. During our stay the location was somewhat noisy due to large rock trucks traversing the local roads during working hours where new properties were being built. There was also a lot of drilling noises during the first week. Despite following the detailed procedures for setting out garbage our bins were never emptied and we never saw they refuse collectors on this street so we had to take the very smelly garbage to the emergency collection depot after a few days of waiting for collection. These were minor inconveniences for us, but they may be issues others wish to know about."

A spacious, 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom villa. Ideally located between Begur and Sa Riera. A five to seven minute safe walk to lovely Sa Riera beach (uphill on way back) and 5 mins by car to delightful Begur, a pedestrianised architectural gem, with authentic bars, restaurants and specialist shops. All four bedrooms have ceiling fans and air conditioning which together with new mattresses and quality bed linen should ensure a good nights rest. An excellent house for a big family group who want a little privacy too.
The space
The hillside garden with abundant bougainvillea, many oleanders and cacti, magnolia, fig and lemon tree offers an attractive outlook from the terraces which run the entire width of the property on two levels. Due to the slope of the garden, however, it is not a play area. There is a covered dining area with a large table to seat 8-10 people comfortably and gas barbecue. The private pool (approx. 8m x 4m) with eight sun loungers is in the sun for all of the day in the high season. For guests who prefer some shade we have an open-sided outdoor room with two large sofas overlooking the pool. An ideal hideaway for children to play out of the sun and we have even had a baby paddling pool in there! The villa is situated in a private road serving just five properties so with little traffic and beautiful views, it's a most peaceful and relaxing location. There is private off-road parking for two cars.

The entire house, pool and outside terrace space is available to the renter with private parking for two cars.
Other things to note
Guests must ensure that they remove their rubbish from the property and take it to the secure communal bins in the area for which they will need a key. This should be done regularly during their stay and before departure. If rubbish is left or the key is lost there will be a €50 fine.

Situated in the heart of the Costa Brava, Casa Ivan enjoys a peaceful position, moments from the region's historic towns and picturesque coastline.

Just over a 20-minute walk brings you to the centre of Sa Riera, a typical seaside town that still retains its original charm. Once a small fishing village, the cove is surrounded by rugged cliffs and leafy pines that drop down to the bay and beautiful turquoise sea. Protected by the rocky outcrops, you can enjoy a swim in the calm waters or follow the coastal path over the headland to reach Platja de Pals. Stretching for 4km, the extensive beach is a popular spot during the summer months, and there are a handful of chiringuitos where you can enjoy a bite to eat or afternoon ice cream.

Alternatively, hop in the car and head along the coast to discover the less-known bays and hidden coves. A short drive away, the lovely Port d'Esclanya and neighbouring Aiguablava offer a great spot for snorkelling, or you rent a kayak to paddle out and explore the rocky cliffs and admire the bay from a different perspective. Previously a port, Aiguablava is a popular mooring space, and there are a number of restaurants at the back of the beach. Locally owned Toc al Mar is dedicated to serving the day's catch, and you can enjoy a delicious plate of fresh fish and seafood cooked over an oak grill. Another option is Parador de Aiguablava, where you can sample traditional Catalan dishes such as rock fish broth, anchovies, and Pals rice, whilst looking out across the sea. Further along the coast, the Tamairu is an equally pretty bay, and if you want to try your hand at diving, the local Stolli scuba centre offers guides and lessons. Otherwise, if you are looking to stay above the water, head up to l'Estartit, where several companies operate glass-bottomed boat trips around the nearby islands.

Whilst the coastline has plenty to enjoy, this area of Catalonia is rich in history, and the vibrant town of Begur is just a 20-minute walk. A network of narrow streets lined with colourful houses, Moorish architecture and neoclassical mansions, the hillside settlement has a strong Cuban influence, with hints of Caribbean culture dotted amongst the Catalan charm. Take a seat amongst the locals on the Es Pedrís Llarg, where you can enjoy a drink and soak up the lively atmosphere or visit the ruins of the town's castle dating back to the 16th century. There are plenty of restaurants to stop for a bite to eat, or head to family-run Turandot, where you can enjoy wonderful plates of tapas in the homely restaurant. If you can, visit on a Saturday and enjoy an entertaining evening joining in the traditional Sardana dancing that happens on the Placa de la Vila.
