- "Fantastic historic era home perfectly kept up, maintained and furnished. Minutes to beach, McConnells Ice Cream and 6-7 minutes to State Street Marina and it’s attractions are also a short walk away Even the instructions for access are personalized. Wi-Fi and cable TV were easy to figure out. Fantastic!" - "Very nice experience" - "This home and back courtyard made for a really pleasant stay. The gardens, big windows bringing in lots of sunlight, and the private yard with orange and lemon trees to enjoy were a big bonus. A very walkable neighborhood and near both the waterfront and Funk Zone. Dart Coffee and Blue Door Antiques were favorites and very nearby. We could hear the trains as the tracks are just a couple blocks away and the highway noise as well when outside but inside the house was very quiet. House was well stocked and beds were very comfortable."

- "This is a wonderful family home, with a spacious living area, kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, garage, a large rear garden with bbq and a variety of seating areas, and a pleasant front garden that gets the morning sun. The property is a couple of blocks from the beach and the so-called “funk zone” that offers many restaurants and tourist options. The property was very clean and nicely decorated. There was some minor noise from the upstairs apartment, but nothing out of the ordinary. The large, walk-in showers were good, and the kitchen was well appointed with useful cooking equipment. Overall, an extremely pleasant stay in a beautiful town. We will certainly return!"

The estate is laid out in such a way that you are able to sneak off for a bit of downtime and then recongregate for meals, games and pooltime fun. The grounds are a horticulturist's dream with so many different species of plants and trees. Each of us slept like babies with the ocean air drifting in to greet us each morning. I loved waking up and hiking up the incredible trail right out the drive. It was a beautiful way to start the day with numerous vistas along the way offering breathtaking views. Set on a beautiful 5 1/2 acre groomed estate grounds, the Guest Quarters, which is under the same roof as the main house, but has its own entrance. It is private and a completely separate flat with a stocked European kitchen with full sized appliances. The double French iron doors open up to a hand carved Santa Barbara stone fountain full of koi fish and a patio to enjoy al fresco dining. The view is expansive and lovely. There is a filter RO device on the water spicket and cold filtered ice and water in the refrigerator door. There is a soft water unit supplying soft water for your showers. Beach towels are available for beach goers. Trail to beach is a beautiful 15-20 minute walk along a stream. Shutters can be closed for black out morning sleepers or open to see the fountain feel the ocean breeze and enjoy the garden. - We can only accommodate one vehicle in the on-site parking space. All other vehicles must park on the street. Please pay attention to the street signs for any restrictions.
- The villa does not have air conditioning—most Santa Barbara homes don’t need it! The ocean breeze and pleasant year-round weather usually keep things just right.
- This property has other close-by residents and neighbors, please respect the common areas by honoring quiet hours from 10PM–7AM.
- The villa is situated in a neighborhood near downtown Santa Barbara and near Highway 101. Occasional "city noise" like sirens, etc. is common.
- For non-emergency issues, we do not send maintenance to the property during your stay, only after you depart.
- There are no refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/acts of god or other things that are beyond our control.

HOUSE RULES:
- No parties or loud gatherings.
- Maximum occupancy: 8 people.
- No pets allowed. The fee for violating this policy is $50.
- No smoking or vaping inside the property. A $500 fee applies for violations. If smoking outside, stay several feet away from doors, windows, and neighbors.

- "Everything needed was there!" - "Its was nice to pull into the driveway, walk just a few steps and enter a very bright, open, and welcoming home. We really enjoyed our stay." - "The home is beautiful and exactly as described. Everything was spotless, and well stocked. Its nice to find a home that caters to adults with 2 bedrooms with California King beds, and 2 full bathrooms. 10 minute walk to State St. and a 10 minute ride to the Airport. Also very close to the ocean. The only negative that i noticed others did comment on in previous reviews was the noise from the other units. This was VERY noticeable. Perhaps our neighbors were extra loud but it was a little distracting . However, I would absolutely stay here again."
