Anyone requesting a booking with an adult wishing to sleep in the loft, needs owner approval prior to booking - no exceptions. We don't want any negative comments so the loft is explained in great detail plus there are photos.) We provide towels, dishes, pots & pans utensils, beach towels, beach chairs and beach umbrellas. The backyard deck area is fully fenced with locked gates.

Parking is on-street with a City Visitors Parking Pass that we provide during your stay. We have one Visitors Parking Pass. Welcome! Our beautiful cottage is just a short 10 minute walk to the center of Los Olivos. Drive through the gates of our private 5 acre ranch, past the corrals, up the tree lined drive and enter our renovated cottage. The cottage used to be a hunting cabin back in the 1960's and still retains all of it's charm.
Enter into the living area with thick log walls where you'll find hardwood floors and a gas fireplace that open onto a dining area with a huge bay window. There's a complete kitchen with dark granite counters and marble floors, and a laundry/pantry room with your own washer & dryer. Tucked near the stairs is a fully equipped, renovated bathroom with a big, tiled shower and large fluffy towels. Off the dining area, there's a cozy bedroom with a queen size bed and views of the garden. Wander up the staircase and you will discover the perfect master-suite. Light the fireplace and sink into the queen size bed with down comforter for a fabulous night's sleep. Just steps away is the bathroom complete with a Jacuzzi tub framed by Carrara marble.
The front deck has a porch swing and a wrought-iron table & chairs with a BBQ around the side. Across the yard is a picnic table under bistro lights if you prefer to dine al fresco.
For entertainment, the cottage has a 32 inch flatscreen TV in the living area with a Roku box that has Netflix and Amazon (no live tv/cable).
There's a dedicated Wifi network covering all of the house and grounds.

Cyclists are welcome! Los Olivos is a haven for cyclists. You can stash your bikes in our bike garage and if you need tools or air, we can help.

The cottage is a short 1/2 mile from the town of Los Olivos. It is situated up on a hill surrounded by huge mature trees, and an occasional inquisitive horse in the nearby pastures. You won't see any streetlights here. Close enough to pop into town but totally secluded for your privacy. SLEEPS 4 MAX.

Welcome to coastal living at Costa Vida Cottage. We are less than 500 steps to the ocean in “East Beach”. This renovated cottage, complete with all new furnishings, beds and luxury linens offers two bedrooms (2 queens) each with flat screen tvs. The generously sized living room has a great room effect, including the dining area complete with mountain views and an adorable updated kitchen and vintage charm. Enjoy the front courtyard with gas BBQ and dining for 4 guests from this front unit of a cozy duplex. Four sand chairs, umbrellas and a cooler are provided for beach activities! We offer a Kryptonite Evolution Ground Anchor set in concrete for securing bikes in the driveway. Please provide your own bike lock and/or cable.

East Beach offers bike rentals as well as kayak, beach chair & umbrella rentals during the summer season. There are many places to enjoy in the Santa Barbara area including the Zoo which is about a five minute walk from the cottage. Stroll the boardwalk to enjoy miles of coastline. The Funk Zone (revitalized industrial area repurposed with trendy wineries, brew haus and shops) is a 5 minute ride for wine & beer tasting. Just steps away is Convivo Restaurant — fine dining on an ocean front patio. There is plenty of on-street parking in front of the cottage as well as a driveway. NOTE: Street cleaning Mon/Tues 1-3 p.m. Take a sunset cruise from the Harbor. BCycle offers electric/assist bike rentals around the corner from the cottage on both Milpas and Cabrillo.

Local Artisans display their wares on Sunday along the coastline. Loads of shopping & dining can be found along State Street. There are concerts at the Santa Barbara Bowl under the stars. The Waterfront Shuttle departs in front of The Santa Barbara Inn taking you along Cabrillo for under a buck while the Downtown Shuttle takes you up State Street. The Botanical Gardens are something to see in Santa Barbara and Montecito.

Montecito is a 3-4 minute drive south for some nice restaurants and shopping, also home to Butterfly Beach across from the Four Seasons hotel.
