This is my most popular unit for visiting friends and family in SB.

Property located on 1 1/2 acres in a quiet residential neighborhood on a private drive.

This unit is part of a large home which is closed off to the main house. My living quarters is on the opposite end of the house.

This unit has its own patio entrance that leads out to a tropical landscaped garden with a panoramic distance of UCSB and the ocean.

The bistro set on your patio provides a lovely peaceful setting for morning coffee and light meals or relax and unwind during the evening.

The bedroom is 15'x12' and the kitchenette area is 5'x10', bathroom is 5'x11'.

It has a queen bed and can accommodate up to three people. A twin bed is set up next to the queen bed by taking a chair out to make enough room.

This unit is equipped with mini fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and hot water kettle. There is no stove or oven. Please do not bring an instant pot, portable burner etc to cook since I do not have a kitchen sink.

This unit's yard is shared with another unit when occupied and my friendly husky.

This recently renovated complex (2018) is half a block from the nicest beaches of Carpinteria and directly across from the Salt Marsh Reserve. Beautiful landscape outside with palm trees, roses, bushes, green plants. Lovely upstairs end unit with about 1100 sq-feet of space, light colored wood floors, attractive cabinetry, granite bar breakfast counters, travertine tile flooring in bathroom, freshly painted, California closet organizer in the all rooms, back patio overlooking the serene water fountain and green grass. WIFI included as well as all necessities in bathrooms, linens, towels. Sorry I dont have extra space for large boxes, bike & extra large suitcases. Please let me know before booking for an additional fee I will arrange a space. No bike in the bedroom & balcony.

This is a "housesharing' experience & not an empty vacation rental- PLEASE EXPECT COMING TO A PRIVATE HOME WITH PERSONAL ITEMS AS CLOTHING IN CLOSETS/PERSONAL FAMILY PICTURES ON THE WALL/FOOD IN THE FRIGDE-I have 2 rooms for rent so I can have up to 2 people if interested-Shared bathroom in hallway- We will probably have some sit down dinners if you stay a long period of time. I love to cook for the holidays nice gourmet meals.

Hostess speaks french & spanish. Smoking/drugs are not allowed on the entire residence propriety- I expect you to take care and keep your room and bath in order and tidy.

Best suited for guests who work during the day and sleep at night. Guests who work night shift must discuss with me as it is not best fitted for them. Thank you.

The Green Room is located directly below Blue Bungalue, built in the 1950s. IF Blue Bungalue is reserved and occupied you may hear footsteps from above, thus we have jokingly provided commercial grade earplugs! Guests can roam around the gardens, check out the chickens. The private patio has a BBQ unit and eating place for two in a special garden nook. Enjoy your breakfast and coffee while listening to the birds. Binoculars are available for bird watching if interested. Note, the Airstream in the back yard and it’s patio is currently booked through Dec 7th.

The studio apartment is on the second story. Access is via an external staircase. Garden view from the studio. The water is filtered through a newly installed whole house carbon system which eliminates chlorine, VOCs, pesticides and other harmful chemicals.
