- "My husband and I flew into LAX from ATL to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. We stayed at this rental in Carson, Ca for 5 nights. Before check-in, our hosts gave us a very detailed description of how to find the place, where to park, etc with pictures. It was perfect, since we weren’t able to arrive until 9pm. We had no trouble finding the place or knowing how to get our keys. Upon arrival, we noticed the neighborhood was very quiet and our hosts had a hand written thank you note inside. It was such a sweet touch! They also had a few waters, some various soda, and a few bags of snacks available which were greatly appreciated. The cold waters were very much needed. My husband was very happy to see the kitchen also had Starbucks Keurig pods to use. The place was a bit warm at first but once we turned on the window units, stayed the perfect temperature. The bathroom was well stocked including a hair dryer, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and toilet paper. There was also some additional items in the open closet with the towels and wash rags. The shower water takes a bit to get hot, but once it is hot, it stays hot for a long time and the water pressure is amazing! My favorite thing about the whole place was the bed. The sheets were sooo soft, and each time I got in bed, I passed out almost instantly! The hosts were very courteous, gave us lots of privacy, were accessible if we needed them, and were very thoughtful. Highly recommend!"

- "My daughter and I went to LA for a concert weekend from Alaska. As you likely know you can easily drop $1-$2k a night for a stay in Los Angeles, Mauricio's place represented a great bargain. The space is comfortably large, sufficiently outfitted, and made for a great home base. Be aware, the space is older and has some wear and tear. It was great to have a parking space off the street, it is VERY tight and takes some negotiating to get in and out at times. The inner courtyard is charming and the neighborhood was nice and accommodating. If you are looking for a budget but comfortable place to stay in LA I would recommend Mauricio's place!"

- "This house was very clean and very comfortable. We had water problem two times during our stay. They figured out immediately and I really appreciate the team are always there for us. Thank yiu" - "I wish I could have rated this place higher however there were a series of issues that I just can't rate it any higher. The first thing we saw when we pulled up was overflowing trashcans in the driveway and trash scattered all the way to the door. After 11 hours in the air we did not enjoy dragging our luggage over trash from the driveway to the door. Check in was easy and place was as described however there were not enough dry towels for the number of people that stayed. I did find wet towels cammed into the dryer that we dried and used. There were ants in the kitchen however we were provided spray to take care of them. There was next to NO water pressure and only enough hot water for 2 people to take a hot shower and the other 5 of us were taking cold showers. This is a downstairs unit and the upstairs had kids that decided to run circles and move furniture in the early AM and at night. The couch seemed to be what I would call "house staging furniture", cute to look at but not comfortable to sit on. One of the guest bedroom TV would not connect to the wifi so 1 TV was useless (and it happened to be the teenager's room). The master bathroom had a slow draining sink, and the fuse blew with only the use of 1 hair dryer. Now don't get me wrong the host, Leon was VERY communicative about every issue and was very fast at replying about how sorry he was for the inconveniences however nothing was fixed while we were there, so we had to work around the issues. Sadly a 2 star stay."

Welcome to our fully renovated guesthouse, perfect for a getaway to Southern California! Recently updated in late 2022, this modern loft style guesthouse above our detached garage sleeps 4 and is conveniently located just 20 minutes from LAX and 15 minutes from the beach. Our property is only a 2 minute walk to Starbucks and a short drive away to famous local attractions like the Del Amo Fashion Mall and Redondo Beach Pier, as well as some of the best restaurants and breweries in the area!
