- "The best part of the was the yard. The pool wa fun and there was lots of room to relax there was not a large gathering place inside but plenty of room for privacy. Overall a great stay" - "Summary from all 16 people that stayed there was "this house is weird". The way the house was laid out looked like everything was an afterthought fix. There is no central kitchen area, just two apartment style kitchens in two random rooms. The pool was dirty. The house was dirty. Many of the blinds didn't work. Staying in a dirty place while being charged an almost 600 cleaning fee is ridiculous. With 16 people, we had people sleeping on the floor, sofas and even one stayed in their van. This despite the ad stating it would sleep 21 people. We received an email the day we checked in saying "We reserved some rooms for ourselves which are not included in the rental". When we asked why and we were told they were never a part of the rental. We had 5 fewer people than the capacity of the rental and we still had people sleeping in their van and unoccupied rooms we were not allowed to use. We planned on hanging out at the house and cooking meals, but no one wanted to be at the house so we just ate out at restaurants. Everyone was disappointed at spending over 5,000 to stay here. I do not write reviews very often at all, but this one deserved a review. Would not recommend. "

But I also didn’t ask about it. The showers are nice but the opening to get in is a little narrow. This place was only 5 minutes away from brothers house so it was a perfect stay for us. The place was super comfortable and the owners are very accommodating. "

I liked the close proximity to grocery stores and restaurants." - "My kids (3rd and 5th graders) enjoyed this nice quiet little ADU in Riverside. It was very close to the Canyon Crest Towne Center where there’s a Ralph’s grocery store, RiteAid and restaurants. It’d be a great place to stay if you’re parents of an undergrad attending UCR, as the campus is very close. If you’re staying more than one night, definitely make a stop at a grocery store before checking in (Grocery Outlet or Food4Less, on Chicago Ave, the aforementioned Ralph’s, or Trader Joe’s, off Central Ave) as the fridge and cupboards were empty (there was some spray-on olive oil around so that helped). It was a good place to land for the final leg of my kids’ road-trip from N Calif and we didn’t need to do a whole bunch of cooking there; BTW, not much by way of spots to put your plate down; we improvised a dining table using the ironing board and a bath towel for a tablecloth. Street parking was never an issue and the neighborhood is safe (and need I mention it again, yes, it’s very quiet 😊)."

Feel free to park up to 2 vehicles on our driveway. This space is exclusively for our guests' use. We want to ask guests to avoid parking in front of our neighbors' homes. This helps maintain good relations within our community. Our property does not have a parking garage.

Street Sweeping Schedule: The street sweeper passes through our neighborhood on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month. To avoid parking violations and tickets, please ensure that your vehicles are not parked on the curb in front of the house or across the street during these times.

You'll have 100% Privacy inside this home. It is a Keyless Entry; we will send you the Code, and you won't need to meet in person.

The three bedrooms are average size. The kitchen is small but has all the essentials. Please note that the space next to the kitchen is a hybrid dining area and living room and it is very small.

Please keep in mind that the kitchen, dining area, living room are very small. Two of the bedrooms are average size and one of the rooms is very spacious. This is a two-story condo. This condo is listed as a three bedroom 1.5 bathroom. We highly recommend using the bathtub upstairs. There is however a small shower downstairs but it is very small and not very convenient to use. You are welcome to use it but again we are listing this as a 1.5 bathroom because it will not be convenient for you to use the downstairs shower.

Mansion in the hills is the way our granddaughter describes the house. It's a corner lot on a quiet street with excellent neighbors. We even have police officers who live nearby, so everyone has a sense of security. Our house is two stories and the guest house is attached but separate with its separate entry on the front with a shared front gated patio.

The Suite is located in a residential gated community. (located near train tracks and middle school) With Shopping centers and restaurants close by.
The "above" garage Bonus suite is separate from house with private entry. The 450 sf+ private suite is furnished with a queen size bed, oversized leather love seat, 36" rnd dining table and tv/dresser. The suite gets the afternoon and evening sun, I have provided new blackout curtains to reduce any noise and to help keep the suite cool.

The thermostat is centrally located in the main house. The unit will be maintained at 74° Fahrenheit but guests can request for it to be adjusted or use the portable heater/fan available.

This listing is pet-friendly. There is a limit of 1 pet per stay for $35 pet fee. No extra guests or pets allowed without host approval. Pets are not allowed on furniture.

Long-term stays are allowed. For stays longer for 14 days or more, guests will be supplied initial consumable items (including coffee/tea, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc). Long-term guests are responsible for replenishing consumable items, cleaning the rental unit, and discarding trash/recycling regularly.

There will be construction on parts of this property through early July 2025 on Monday through Friday during business hours, and possibly the occasional Saturday. The construction should not physically interrupt your guest spaces, but there may be some noise. We recommend street parking along the cross-street. Driveway parking may be available but not guaranteed. Please note street cleaning in the neighborhood occurs on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays and/or 2nd & 4th Fridays of the month. We are not responsible for parking-related fines or damages.

- "Host is non communitive. Had to track him down thru vrbo to get address & entry code. Got there and going up the stairs we were accompanied by a roach (the first of many). Nowhere on his posting does it show or say that its 2 story or that there are steps down to the unit. This would be helpful for people like me who cannot do stairs as Im handicapped & use a walker. All beds are upstairs along with the only shower!!! Had this been disclosed, we would have chosen another location. Had we not been in CA for my mothers funeral, i would have probably left once the roaches started showing up. Overall the place itself was decent, but the host & roaches were not. Awful stay"

The space
Our home is equipped with a 55” inch smart Samsung TV in the living room with free WiFi. A fireplace in the living room, and a comfy reclining 3 seat couch. The well-equipped kitchen includes a Keurig coffee maker, new microwave, stove, and more. In addition downstairs you will have a half bathroom with a sink.

Upstairs you will find two bedrooms and a full bathroom. One bedroom is equipped with a queen bed. The second bedroom is equipped with two full sized bed. The full sized bathroom is stocked with hand towels, bath towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and toilet paper.

Mission Bungalows was originally built in 1923. A 3 year remodel was completed in December 2022. The exteriors were kept as built, but the interiors received a complete rebuild from floor to ceiling. Everything is new inside - floors, walls, doors, electrical, plumbing. The only original parts of the building are the exterior walls and windows which were preserved for historical significance. The interior floor plans are very similar to the original design, but we added indoor laundry and dishwashers. We hope you fall in love ❤️ with the Mission Bungalows just as much as we have and you'll come back again and again.

Mission Bungalow guests park in a gated, private carport parking area with one assigned parking space. Check in procedures detail the process. The front gate remains unlocked for walk-in guests. If your intention is to just visit the downtown area, you probably won’t use your car again the entire time you stay. Everything downtown is easily accessible by just a short walk on level grade.

A toy box for children 5 and under is available upon request. Board/card games including Connect 4, Jenga, Uno, Yahtzee, Chess, Checkers, Scrabble, and Candy Land are located in the credenza under the TV.

A recent guest reported a sighting of a cockroach in the apartment. Following this, we promptly engaged our regular pest control company, who confirmed that there's no infestation issue and they did not find any cockroaches. Nonetheless, they took immediate action to address the concern. It's possible that a few cockroaches may have been brought in by a previous guest or entered from outside. Discovering deceased cockroaches is a normal part of the treatment process, and please rest assured that the issue has been resolved.

If you're uncomfortable with this situation, we recommend refraining from booking this apartment for the time being. However, should you choose to proceed with the reservation, please understand that refunds will not be provided for this specific reason.

4. AMS Paving will be resealing and restriping the streets within the Homeowners Association on Wednesday, April 17th, and Thursday, April 18th 2024. The streets will be closed to vehicle traffic from 7:00 A.M. that morning until 7:00 A.M. the following morning. Please have your vehicle moved by 7:00 A.M. that morning to outside the complex. If your vehicle is not moved outside the closed area by 7:00 A.M., it will be towed at the owner’s expense. If you are not going to use your vehicle during that period then you can park your vehicle in your garage, but keep in mind that it cannot be moved for that full period.

4. AMS Paving will be resealing and restriping the streets within the Homeowners Association on Wednesday, April 17th, and Thursday, April 18th 2024. The streets will be closed to vehicle traffic from 7:00 A.M. that morning until 7:00 A.M. the following morning. Please have your vehicle moved by 7:00 A.M. that morning to outside the complex. If your vehicle is not moved outside the closed area by 7:00 A.M., it will be towed at the owner’s expense. If you are not going to use your vehicle during that period then you can park your vehicle in your garage, but keep in mind that it cannot be moved for that full period.
