- "Convenient location with access to lots of services and attractions. Roomy, clean apartment." - "We needed an apartment that was a bit larger for 5 adults and this fit the bill perfectly. Very spacious with a full sized kitchen and we appreciated the beverages and candy that were left for us. Literally a quick 10 minute train ride to Munich. Just take a right and walk a short two blocks to the train station/bus depot. We didn't discover the upper historic town until the end of our trip but definitely make time to go up there. The area near the apartment had a great market across the street and grocery just a block up on the Main Street. The washer/dryer room was convenient in the basement but a little daunting since most of the controls have German language directions and my clothes got locked in the washer but we worked it out. I believe some of the other apartments have washers in the unit as well. I would suggest maybe leaving some information about the local area and maybe a town map for guest. Rodger and Lynn were very responsive to any needs and their son met us at check in and was super nice. Since we got in that morning before check in they had a secure luggage room where we were able to store our things before having lunch. We would definitely stay here again."

- "I cannot recommend the apartment. The host does not communicate promptly, and he has a disrespectful and condescending tone. I got the information on how to access the property less than 48 hours prior to check-in and only after I called VRBO customer service. Then I received a lengthy email urging me to “use the apartment respectfully because it is not a hotel” and not to “break anything”. Most insulting, the host also said in the email “don't take anything with you”. There is nothing in the apartment worth considering taking. Nothing impressive either. It is simple and could use a deep cleaning. One of the sides of the bed is against a wall. The balcony backs up to a construction site so you will be awakened at 7 promptly by the construction crews. Another issue: The back door leading to the second-floor balcony does not lock. The balcony is not too high and adjacent to another apartment so someone could jump and simply push the door. I mentioned this to the host and again received a condescending response. He said I did not have to worry about it because “this is not LA”. Thirdly, the host tried to get me to provide additional personal information by saying that I was required to do so by the German Registration Act. Do not fall for it! We appreciated the washer with a built-in steam feature. The building is quiet and clean. The location is also a plus. Not far from the Dachau Memorial and within walking distance to many nice restaurants."

The Neighborhood:
The flat is located in a charming little village called Pellheim (approx. 400 inhabitants) with plenty of space to relax and quiet neighbours. Pellheim has a unique location: all the motorways go around the outside of Pellheim but none go through it; so it is very quiet at all times and yet you can be in Dachau, the next largest town, in just five minutes. Munich is 20 minutes away.

On a leisurely walk you pass horses, squirrels and other cute little animals that have long been missed in the city. A large children's playground and a football pitch are also just a five-minute walk away.

A train station with free parking is only 3km away. From here, it takes about 20 minutes by train to Munich's main station, which is located in the heart of the city.

Getting Around:
No annoying search for a parking space or expensive multi-storey car parks: You have your own private parking space on private property right outside your front door.

For Pellheim, Dachau and the surrounding area, there are particularly inexpensive taxis, the so-called "AST-Taxi": The fare is only three euros per passenger. Children under the age of six accompanied by an adult are transported free of charge. Accompanying persons of severely disabled people also travel free of charge.
Simply call at least one hour before the desired departure time and order a taxi (telephone number AST-Taxi: 08131/321111).
Reservation acceptance time: daily between 5 a.m. and midnight.
Taxi operating hours: Mon to Fri 7 am - 7 pm, Sat 9 am - 2 pm.

Since it is a small village, the nearest S-Bahn station is three kilometres away. On the other hand, there is always plenty of free parking at this station.

A bus runs twice a day. The departure times are stored in our digital guestbook, which you will receive after booking.

Other Things to Note:
During your stay here, you may meet a cuddly half-breed cat (Maine Coon & St. Burma) "Fleckerl". You can choose whether you want to let her into the flat with you or not. She is absolutely independent and sleeps either outside or in the flat below with the Wallner family. Fleckerl does not bite or scratch :)
