The apartment is located on the top floor of an apartment building and has a beautiful view of the imposing mountains of Garmisch-Partenkirchen through the floor and location. At the heart of the facility are homely colors and natural materials, the connection between modern and rural furnishings. Many of the fittings and furniture were made by hand and were made to match the character of the apartment. The bedroom has an open roof structure with a lot of visible wood and a generous, fantastic view of Alpspitze, Waxenstein and Zugspitze. A 47 inch LCD TV is used for cozy TV hours. There is a large fly screen in front of the window for mosquito and fly-free sleeping.

In the center of the living room is a stylish soapstone stove with a large viewing window to enjoy a lot of crackling, warm comfort in the living room on cold evenings. In addition to the cozy sofa corner with the same 47 inch LCD TV as in the bedroom, there is also a dining area available.

The bathroom has a spacious shower, toilet and double sink.

The sun welcomes you in the kitchen in the morning, a wonderful place for the first coffee of the day. From here you have a view of the large Olympic ski jump in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The kitchen is well equipped with a stove, oven, coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer etc.

This is an apartment -not a hotel, so there are no consumables provided except toilet tissue. We found dishwashing detergent left by a former guest and left some laundry detergent, but be aware that you can't expect it. There is a good REWA supermarket on the way to Garmisch (park at the lower level and take your shopping cart on the elevator) as well as a big store which sells beer, wine, and juices. The tap water is as good as any bottled water. We spent 4 nights here and felt right at home. Frau Ludwig is a nice lady and a great host. It's a bit of a drive to the castles area, (well maintained, narrow curvy roads) but the cog wheel train to Zugspitze is in nearby Garmisch. Partenkirchen is a walkable Bavarian town with scenic painted buildings and shops selling interesting items."

The space
Hintergraseck is an idyllic farmstead consisting of three houses and side buildings on the south side of the Wamberger ridge. This separates the busy Loisachtal in the north from the Wettersteinmountains in the south. The melting waters of the Zugspitze glacier have created the world famous Partnachgorge. The apartment is in a newly built house in 2010 and was completely renovated in 2016. It has:

The 40m² large apartment in our house is situated on the ground floor of the south side.
It has a separate entrance.
The garden area in front of the apartment, consisting of a gravelled and roofed part as well as lawn, can be used by you for sunbathing, grilling and relaxing.

The car must stay down. Our access road is to be used only with special permission. We bring your luggage.

Located on the basement, Apartment is a great base for a holiday in the mountains – in a central location, yet quiet surroundings. Here I rent a small apartment in shabby style. The property is very centrally located and borders the spa gardens. The pedestrian zone and the convention center are around the corner. The apartment is about 30 square meters. In addition to the living room and bedroom, a small kitchenette and a bathroom with wellness shower and toilet belong to the apartment. Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a spa town that offers wonderful leisure opportunities both in winter and summer. The price for the overnight stay is exclusive of the local tourist tax, which is used to finance local services and infrastructure. In turn, you get the so-called spa card, which entitles you to many leisure activities at particularly favorable conditions, e.g. free bus rides within the village or free entry to the urban indoor swimming pool. Garmisch is a small town that has a huge cultural offer. From farmer's theater and cabaret stage to concerts etc., there is even a casino, and if you want, a big city like Munich or Innsbruck is around the corner and easily accessible by train or car.

There are 20m² on your disposal. My cat Ares uses your room to travel back and forth between the garden and the apartment. If you're kind, he'll snuggle up with you too. FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO SKI:

An apartment down in the valley is easier when it comes to skiing and snowboarding. For this, I offer you an experience where you can also go on the slopes. In the morning you have to go down into the valley, about 45 minutes to the parking lot, to the bus stop another 10 minutes. It takes 10-15 minutes by car to get to the lifts. The bus takes 10-15 minutes to the train station. From there, it is best to take a train to a station, as this saves the traffic jam in front of the parking lot. The skis/boards can be enclosed at the lift.
Some do not want to waste so much time walking and down the valley, but almost all of them say afterwards that they have gained this time for themselves. You can also shorten the steepest part with the Graseck cable car
