The apartment is located in the town of Füssen, at the foot of the Alps and a stone’s throw from Neuschwanstein Castle. All around are rolling green hills with a backdrop of towering mountains, lakes and sleepy villages. In summer it is a hiker’s paradise; in winter the ski slopes are just minutes away.

The apartment is located on the outskirts of Füssen. The the historic old town is a mere 10 minutes’ walk away. In summer the first walking trail starts behind the house...

...in winter you will find the cross-country tracks there. What’s more, the most popular sledding hill in town is right by the house. Two very good ski schools are a 10 minute car ride away. For experienced skiers you need 20 to 30 minutes to reach larger skiing areas.

The property was completed in 2013. All rooms have underfloor heating, while the windows are large and generous. The 63 sq m apartment can sleep 2 adults and 2 children in bunk beds. An aditional child’s bed is available on request.

I immediately called Peter (out host) from the car explaining our situation and he told us not to move and he would be to our car in just a few minutes. Once we got upstairs to the apartment Peter proceeded to show us around the apartment which was beautiful and then gave us a brief history lesson of Fussen and things we might like to do. We only stayed 3 nights in Fussen and loved every minute of it. I believe this is my favorite area in all of Germany. And we could not have asked for a more attentive host than Peter. The building is a very old historic building but with modern amenities which we just loved. It felt like we were living a few days back a few hundred years ago, but with the comforts of today We definitely can’t find anything like this in the U.S. I could have stayed here forever."

It is a two room apartment with 48 sqm in Füssen peripheral location. It has a bedroom with two separate beds. In the living room you can also sleep on a sofa bed. The apartment has a wonderful mountain view and large sunny balcony with chairs.

The space
It is a cozy, albeit slightly older apartment, but renovated 5 years ago. It is very bright and very quiet. There is everything you need to feel comfortable including the very nice view from the balcony and from the apartment. In front of the house there is a bus to the train station and from there there are numerous possibilities to get anywhere.

Guest access
Hiking trails are located practically directly at the apartment e.g. to the Hopfensee. In 15 minutes about you are in the city center on foot. A bus also runs. Ski resorts and mountain railways, as well as the famous Neuschwanstein in 5 to 15 km away. I can give you a lot of hiking tips.
Hikes from the house, half an hour Hopfensee and in 5 km distance in Austria by car and hiking on the Säuling etc, also hiking on Alatsee. Bus in the old town, which can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes.

Other things to note
Please note that a tourist tax of 2.20 per adult from 16 years is charged in Füssen. I therefore inform them in the welcome letter that they can leave these on my table. This payment is due in every hotel and is a tax of the city of Füssen.

This one room Studio apartment is freshly renovated & has an impressive view of the Alps from both the
living area and balcony. There is a double bed (180 x 200cm) and wardrobe in the sleeping area.

The studio apartment, i.e. it is a large room with different areas and a separate bathroom, is newly renovated and offers impressive mountain views from the living area and the balcony. In the sleeping area there is a double bed with wardrobe. The kitchen area is equipped with a built-in kitchen with refrigerator, range and oven and a dining table. The bathroom with shower has a window with a direct view of the cliff. The living area with seating area and a couch with sleeping function is connected to the balcony via a glass front.
The apartment is located on the first upper floor.
The entrance door to the house is accessible via a short staircase. Next to the entrance area there is a laundry room where bicycles can also be parked. In addition, there is a basement for storing ski equipment or the like.
The train station and bus stops with all major connections are a 10-minute walk. There is no parking space directly at the house, but nearby there is a large overnight free and supervised parking lot.

The large box spring bed, which can be separated from the living area by a curtain, ensures a good night's sleep. The dining table can be extended to double size if needed. The cleaners are authorized to enter and clean the apartment from 11 a.m. on the day of departure. If waiting times arise because the apartment is not accessible, the guest has to pay a pro rata hourly wage of 30€, depending on the duration of the delay.

For every guest aged 15 and over, the city of Füssen charges a visitor's tax of €2.50 per night and for children aged 6 and over a visitor's tax of €1.25 per night. These costs are NOT included in the rental prices. Upon arrival, you will receive the FüssenCard, which allows you to use public transport free of charge. There are also discounts on
- Mountain railways and indoor swimming pools
- Forggensee boats, mini golf courses and ice skating rinks
- Admission to the royal castles and museums
- Shopping at the Tourist Info (e.g. hiking maps and souvenirs)
- Many events through free or discounted participation
- Free internet use at various WiFi hotspots
