On the ground floor of the flat (214) is the hall, a 4-bed bedroom (a 2-bed and a bunk bed) and the bathroom. On the first floor is the living room, south-west-facing balcony and the kitchen. The view from the flat (ski slopes) is among one of the most beautiful in the Aparthotel and from early afternoon until evening there is sunshine on the balcony (with dining table and chairs).
The flat is completely renovated and newly furnished. The living room has a cosy Austrian seating area.
Our flat has reception of German and Dutch TV channels.

The appartment is located in the aparthotel (****) and has everything you could wish for a wonderful holiday. The beautiful and recently renovated hotel is close to the ski lift and ski slope, the ski school practice area and the ski bus stop. The cosy and friendly centre of Mittelberg with its nice restaurants, bars and shops is about 300 m away. Several beautiful cross-country skiing trails and hiking paths start near the hotel. The well-known Steinbeck trail starts behind the hotel. The Aparthotel has many facilities: a lovely indoor swimming pool with sun terrace, an indoor children's play area with play equipment (incl table tennis tables), bar/dancing (with often live music), and and a bowling alley. New is the Spa and Wellness Centre on the 6th floor. The hotel also houses a ski school and ski hire. In the attractive and excellent restaurant (also takeaway, pizza and sandwich service) you can have breakfast and dinner (also half-board possible. If you rent our flat, you can use all facilities (free of charge) (excluding the SkySpa).

The position is perfect, as in this valley you can forget the car and use only the public transport (busses and telepheriques), included in the apartment price. Actually it's even better that the way it looks in the photos here, as it's rather big (for our tastes, we're a 4 people family) and has nice little features not listed here in the announcement. The only complain is related to the Aparthotel's personnel, rather unkind, but we had the impression that is we where not the only ones experiencing it. About that, I want to spend a positive note about the Hungarian guy at the desk of the bread shop inside the hotel: he's the kindest guy ever, and he speaks perfect English (differently from most of his colleagues there). By the way, I great place to stay. Strongly suggested!"

The Kleinwalsertal ......: The Kleinwalsertal is one of the best known and most beautiful recreation areas in the Alps. The valley has three villages: Riezlern (1088m), Hirschegg (1150m) and Mittelberg with Baad (1200 to 1250m).

The owners, Astrid and Stefan, are delightful, as are their staff. Their beautiful Biernese Mountain dogs makes it a home from home for any dog lover, and dogs are welcome guests. The restaurant and food is excellent. There was local skiing on offer, but we were skiiing in Obersdorf where we have been previously. Our apartment (max. 4 pers.) is located in the Aparthotel near the mountain lifts, slopes and center of Mittelberg. From May-Nov the Bergbahnen is included. The apartment is on the second floor. Elevator available. Layout: hall, sleeping area with table bed, living room with sofa bed, bathroom and a balcony. The Aparthotel features an indoor pool + indoor playground, saunas and a cone court.

The space
Kleinwalsertal is a very nice valley in the state of Vorarlberg, located in the far west of Austria. Specifically, you can only enter the valley through Germany. Mittelberg is very easy to travel from the Netherlands. The travel distance from Utrecht is 816 km. You do not need a motor vehicle for Austria to come to Mittelberg and you will avoid the traffic jams around Munich.
The highest point in Kleinwalsertal is located at about 2500 meters.
From December to April, the area is great for winter sports with 47 lifts, 128 kilometers of slopes, and 42 kilometers of cross-country trails. In the complex there is also a ski school and ski rental. Various beautiful cross-country trails and hiking trails start at the apartment.

If you rent our apartment, you can use the pool (free of charge), indoor playground (both renovated in 2023), 2 saunas and indoor parking garage. (For a fee, you can use a beautiful wellness center). In the atmospheric and excellent restaurant (also takeaway meals, pizzas and sandwich service) you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Also in summer, Kleinwalsertal is a beautiful area to enjoy nature with activities such as hiking, mountain biking, canyoning, tobogganing, climbing and golfing. In addition, as a guest in our apartment in the period May - November, you will receive free access to the Bergbahnen/ summer mountain lifts! (Fellhornbahn, Kanzelwandbahn, Heuberg, Arena, Walmendingerhornbahn, Nebelhornbahn, Söllereckbahn, Ifenbahn, Zafernaliftes,).
This includes our rental. These cards can be picked up day from the day of arrival at the Tourimusbüro Walserhaus (VVV) in Hirschegg. We will provide the VVV with your names, address, date of birth and dates of stay. On day of departure day, the mountain lifts are not the customs.

The cozy and cozy center of Mittelberg with nice restaurants, bars and shops is about 300 m away.

The space
The "AUSZEIT" apartment consists of a cozy kitchen-living room (dining area, couch and smart TV swiveling, Wi-Fi 80 Mbps, wardrobe). The kitchen is equipped with a 4 plate ceramic hob, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, kettle, egg cooker and coffee maker. In the separate bedroom is a double bed. There is no way to set up an extra bed (crib). The newly renovated bathroom with toilet has towels, soap and hair dryer. The ground floor terrace with seating and table invites you to find peace.
Clothes drying rack, shoe dryer, umbrellas and hiking poles are available. Also a drying room for anoraks, ski pants, jackets, etc.

In winter, the entrance to the ski resort Heuberg is only 150 meters away (i.e., strap on your skis directly at the house and off you go), which takes you on the ski slide path to the Walmendingerhornbahn to Mittelberg or to the ski resort Ifen and back again.

Your room key opens the front door, garbage room, ski and boot room at the same time. Please always take your key with you, as we keep the front door closed for safety reasons. Keep the keys carefully as we will need to charge lost or broken keys with €20.00.

The guest tax is not included in the price and must be paid on site: €3.50 per person per night (from December 1, 2020, €3,70) . Children pay from 14 years of age.
