Since we live out for some time, we rent our own one-story home, which is very important to us. We christened it "Chiemsee Apart" and with great attention to detail turned into two large holiday apartments.

Chiemsee Apart is centrally located to the center of Prien and at the same time very quiet in the Bavarian Alps. It offers the proximity to the Chiemsee and the mountains. A few meters behind the house is a landscape protection area, which leads directly to the lake. The Chiemsee is only a 10-minute drive away. Here you will find relaxation from everyday life.

The apartment on the ground floor we have "garden view" baptized. From the huge south-facing windows of this apartment you look into the lush green garden but also on the huge mountain massif of the Kampenwand. The apartment "Gartenblick" offers 111 square meters (plus about 30 square meters sun terrace) plenty of space for couples but also for families with 2 - 3 children. On the Sonnenterrasse, you can use our comfortable Echtholz-Gartenmöbel, our deckchairs, the Weber-Grill and the fire-place for romantic evenings in the open. We even used our terrace at the first sunbeam at every meal. The terrace can only be used by guests of the apartment "garden view"!

Our dwelling is timeless and designed in colors, shapes and materials in accordance with Feng Shui harmony teaching. You will surely feel comfortable. The apartment has a spacious living-dining area, a cozy living area with 2 sofas and TV. Sleeping possibilities are in the large bedroom with double bed (180 x 220 m) and in the small bedroom with bunk bed. The small bedroom is only accessible via the hall! One of the couches in the living room is a sofa bed.

Bathroom (with shower, toilet ...) and kitchen are brand new and modern. The kitchen is equipped with many appliances and equipment very well. The apartment also has a guest toilet. You can use our washing machine in the cellar, as well as the laundry. A children's travel bed as well as a child's chair can be used by both apartments on request.

The garden view flat is on the ground floor and has access to a pleasant patio with furniture and a barbecue. Off street parking (and there is plenty of parking on street). Easy access to laundry facilities. Beds very comfortable. It seems that most guests are German Nationals as all information such as the welcome pack was only provided in German so we couldn't benefit from any recommendations that may have been in there. Note: the second room (which has bunks) is accessed off the communal hallway that is also used by guests in the flat upstairs. Each apartment has it's own "front door" off the hallway so the childs room is beyond the ground floor front door. The only way to listen out through the night is to have their door open as well as your own flat door. I would have been uncomfortable leaving a lone or younger child in there. This is mentioned in the listing but the translation doesn't make it particularly clear of the set up. Very quiet residential area, 25 minute walk to Lake -probably 15 minutes walk to any restaurants / bars. Lots of supermarkets very close by for supplies. Would definitely stay again"

The house is close to the center, there is a busy road to the side, but the room is very quiet and you can quickly get to nature and the lake (1.7 km) in just 15-20 minutes on foot.

The cozy studio with a spacious terrace is suitable for relaxing days for two, in nature or the diverse cultural life of the region. Centrally located yet quiet, overlooking the countryside, all possibilities to enjoy the Chiemgau are offered. In December, many Christmas markets in the area invite you. The space
The modern furnished studio with 40 square meters is located on the mezzanine floor of a more than 100 year old traditional residential building with three other residential units. The wooden ceiling in the living room spreads coziness in every season. In the fully equipped functional kitchenette with extractor hood, dishwasher and oven, you will find everything for cooking and enjoying. One dining area in the living room and one on the terrace can be used. The modern, light-flooded bathroom offers a walk-in shower and towel heating. A double bed (160 cm) and a sofa with footstool invite you to relax. A spacious terrace for cozy breakfasts and cozy summer evenings overlooking the countryside offers additional living space. The studio is non-smoking, and this also applies to the terrace. The parking space (apartment 1) is located behind the house, accessible via Dr.- Otto-Eyrich-Straße. Bicycles brought along can be stored under the terrace.

Walk from the street or parking lot through the garden to the front door. Ring the bell upon arrival at Orth-Bilek. Contactless check-in is possible by arrangement at any time. For additional sleeping options or simply to relax during the day, there is a pull-out sofa that can be easily converted into another bed. This provides a flexible sleeping arrangement that is both comfortable and practical.

For families with small children, a safe and cozy travel bed is available. This ensures that even the smallest members of the group have a pleasant night's rest.

Our house from the 1960s offers a quiet apartment under the newly renovated roof. It can be reached by a staircase on the 2nd floor. Here, from the balcony, you will be rewarded with a great mountain view. In the bedroom there is a 40-inch TV (incl. Prime), the kitchen is fully equipped and has a fold-out sofa bed. In the spacious hallway, there is also a built-in closet.
In the apartment, there are sloping ceilings and the ceiling is lower than usual.

The space
The bedroom has a double bed (180cm x 200cm) and a 40 inch HD/Smart 3DTV including Amazon Prime.

Pull-out double bed/sofa bed (160 cm x 200 cm) in the kitchen offers additional space for two people.

The apartment is about 27 sqm with sloping ceilings (height up to 191 cm recommended), so not huge but very cozy and the view from your own balcony is fantastic with a clear view of the mountains.

Guests can access their apartment on the 3rd floor/attic directly through our shared front door at the back of the house and a staircase.

Other things to note
In about 10 minutes walk there are several bakeries, the lake is 1.7 km away (about 15-20 min. by foot or 5 min. Bicycle). There is a shaded backyard with us, which can also be used for eating or relaxing as well as a small lawn with loungers.

From the train station (about 700 m) you can take the regional train to Salzburg (45 min) or Munich (45 min). Nearest town is Rosenheim (15 min train ride). IC/EC trains also leave here. Munich can be reached in about 60 minutes by train.

Guests with bicycles can park them comfortably and safely in the backyard. Charging facilities for e-bikes are also available.

The 78 sqm 2-room apartment in the "House of Encounters" offers space for a cozy vacation experience for families/couples, friends and business travelers. The former Chiemgau farmhouse is a listed building and was built in its current appearance in 1787, with the first mentions dating back to the 15th century. century. Even though Prien is theoretically in a more rural region, it is a tourist stronghold, so unfortunately the traffic is also high.
As described, the apartment is conveniently located between the train station and the lake, but convenient routes are of course also used accordingly frequently.
I find bad reviews about traffic a bit unfair, so I don't have any influence on that!
