The space
Important:
The municipality of Ruhpolding charges a tourist tax of 2.90 euros per day per person, which must be paid separately on site.

Our apartment offers the following rooms:

Our house is located in the quiet district of Grashof, on the local mountain of Ruhpolding, the Rauschberg, and directly on the beautiful 18-hole golf course of the Golfclub Ruhpolding e.V.!
Also, some nice cycling routes (Moser bike tours) lead close to the house.
In winter, there is a cross-country ski trail right by the house, and the biathlon center is also very easy to reach. The Winkelmoos/ Steinplatte ski area is 20 km away. ((website hidden))

The apartment "Am Sonneneck Whg Nr. 7 with sauna" offers you a cozy and modern home in the picturesque Chiemgau Alps. Furnished with a size of 50sqm in modern Bavarian style, it has a bedroom with a king size bed and a sofa bed with a width of 140cm in the living area, which can accommodate a total of 4 people. The open kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities you need for cooking, including a coffee machine, dishwasher, oven and stove, microwave, kettle, toaster and egg cooker. Here you can let off steam!
The bathroom is flooded with light and has a shower, toilet and a sink. After an eventful day, you can relax in the in-house sauna or relax on the spacious balcony overlooking the breathtaking Chiemgau Alps.
There is a TV with Prime account in the living room as well as in the bedroom.
In addition, Wi-Fi and free private parking are available. An outdoor bike room ensures that your bikes are safely accommodated.

In wintertime, Ruhpolding offers excellent cross-country skiing trails. The entrance to the ski slopes in the Steinplatte/Winkelmoosalm ski area is only about 15 minutes by car. Other ski resorts in Austria are also easily accessible, with you at your destination in about an hour.

Ideally located just outside of Ruhpolding, our renovated holiday apartment is the perfect holiday destination for 2-4 guests. (And should you wish to come with a few more people, it is even possible to book a double bedroom and bathroom in addition). The bedroom has a comfortable double bed and 2 fold out armchairs. Ruhpolding is a popular holiday destination for summer and winter.

Summer season: The mountains call for mountain hiking, mountain biking, e-biking, paragliding, paragliding and golfing. Or the nearby Chiemsee to relax. From the Rauschberg, an outstanding all-round view is possible in good weather until deep into the Alps or as far as Landshut. You can get up with a 3.5 hour hike (1000 meters) or cable car. Other popular destinations are the Unternberg, the Hochfelln, the Hörndlwand or the dustfall as a transition to Austria. Best mountain air everywhere and top-notch water. From May - early October, a continuous joy for all nature lovers. Mountain biking or cycling tours to the surrounding area are possible almost everywhere. A flight school for hang gliders and a golf course were all about. The summer toboggan run Chiemgaucoaster can be used almost all year round.

Winter season: In January, there is an annual Baithlon World Cup in the Chiemgau Arena. You can then experience the world-class athletes live in the direct competition. Cards are usually sold from autumn/summer the year before. Biathlon sniffing classes are held weekly at Chiemgau Arena. Ruhpolding and surrounding area have 100km of groomed cross-country trails, mostly available from Christmas to mid-March. Snowshoe hikes are also very popular in the surrounding mountains. The Ruhpolding ski school supports all interested parties to get better or experience sports and mountains in community. Even in alpine skiing, beginner classes directly on site in Ruhpolding are a popular attraction for children and also possible throughout the season. The nearby alpine ski area Winkelmoosalm/Steinplatte with about 50 km of alpine slopes of all levels invites you to alpine skiing up to 1869m altitude (about 20 min drive by car or bus transfer).

Ruhpolding is connected to the network of the Bundesbahn with its own train station. With just under 7,000 inhabitants (primary residence), it has a variety of inns, a large wave pool with attached outdoor swimming pool, ice rink, summer toboggan run, golf course, and a selection of costume and sports shops. A police station, the mountain guard, the fire brigade, a local specialist hospital, several pharmacies, almost all major food markets, a hardware store with an attached recycling yard and several medical centers complete the offer. The district town of Traunstein is only 25 min away by car and offers a full selection. Lake Chiemsee is also only 25 minutes by car. The Königssee near Berchtesgaden is only 30 minutes away. The Mozart city of Salzburg can be reached in 40 min. A trip to Munich Oktoberfest is also a welcome change by bus or train.

The space
With only 2 more apartments in the house, you can secure a quiet holiday in our comfortably furnished apartment. Spend your evenings comfortably on the sofa sofa, which can be quickly converted into a bed if needed, or comfortably in the armchair. The bedroom is functionally furnished and has sufficient storage space. The kitchen also offers you everything you need. The small shower room was renovated in 2019 and meets today's standard. Feel free to use our sauna in the neighboring house on cold days and rest there. In addition to a car parking space, there is also a storage facility for your bikes. For your purchases you can do without both - everything is within walking distance.
