They made a half-hearted attempt to spray the floor, but they ran out of bug spray. I told them I would make it work because it was almost midnight and I had just arrived from the US. I sent the staff out of the room and actually sprayed the bedsheets with insect repellent! It worked, as I was able to sleep (in my clothes) and the ants stayed away. The AC was good enough, but there is no hot water and they would not provide any towels, even when I asked for them. One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. This Apt. is located close to the tourist areas, central Park, and many churches. It is about a 7 minute walk to the parque central(central park). As you can tell in the pictures the apt. is an efficiency type that has one big room that serves as a dining area, living room and bedroom. The bathroom and kitchen are separate rooms. The kitchen has most of the things needed for in home cooking. Maid service and laundry are available for a small extra fee. Sorry, but the electricity is very expensive here in Nicaragua so we have to charge extra for the A/C however we find most don't need the air most of the year and a fan will do just fine. We prefer quiet guests. We have special rates for two, three and four week guests. For example, one month is $550. There are many taxi's in town that will take you most places for C10 which is about $0.35 USA.. I (Mercedes can speak English and Spanish) when here but my mother who sometimes takes care of the apt can only speak Spanish.

How to get from Granada to the Laguna de Apoyo ?
