As still a developing country, some of the roads in Costa Rica, including the road to and surrounding Nosara are still unpaved and can be bumpy, with potholes in some areas. While this is part of the charm of the area, a 4x4 vehicle to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey is suggested.
Security:
Nosara is absolutely a wonderful community and we can't wait to share all the good things that it has to offer. We care a great deal about our clients and for that reason, we also want to make you aware of one of the very few downsides to Nosara: petty theft (they usually are out for your cash and your belongings as in any other tourism area). However, Casa Cielo is gated, maintaining motion detected cameras on the outer perimeter of the property and a safe inside the home for your belongings. The guest, and not the Homeowner or Property Manager, is ultimately responsible for securing and protecting their personal belongings and valuables left in and around the Property and should ensure all doors are locked and gate closed every time they leave the Property.
Internet and Electricity:
In the jungle, the utility infrastructure is unpredictable. There may be power and/or internet outages and interruptions in service. Guests should not leave electronics plugged in during rainstorms. There is no guarantee that the Internet will always work. If internet access is always crucial, we encourage you to bring an unlocked phone and get a SIM card. Please note that neither the Homeowner or the Property Manager has any control over these situations and no refunds or discounts will be offered for outages or interruptions to these services. Of course, if there is any problem with the Property, please report it to the Property Manager immediately and they will do what they can to assist you.
Water:
Though Casa Cielo does maintain a back-up tank that should provide you with ample water during your stay, during the dry season months of December through April, the Property may experience low water pressure due to temporary or scheduled water outages. We will do our best to notify Guests of any interruptions in water service or regularly scheduled water shut offs.
Jungle Creatures:
We make every effort to present a well-cleaned home for your arrival. However, it is a jungle out there and nature can move in at any time. The Homeowners and Property Manager are not responsible for the fumigation or removal of insects that may enter the Property during the Guest's stay. Even though the house is regularly fumigated on a maintenance schedule, expect to see ants, beetles, spiders, and other assorted insects year-round. Bugs are especially active during the rainy season, May through November. To minimize the impact of bugs on your vacation, please keep food wrapped and/or store it in the refrigerator, clean kitchen counters, minimize eating in the bedroom, and keep screen doors closed at all times (particularly at night).
Refunds:
No refunds will be given for natural disasters, water outages, internet outages, security breaches, personal property losses, or nearby construction noise. Additionally, as this area is a rapidly growing community, we cannot guarantee that there will not be construction nearby.
Insurance:
We encourage all Guests to purchase Traveler Insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances, accidents, or other issues that may prohibit Guests from travelling or fulfilling Rental terms.

- "We loved this property. It was new and clean. Just a short walk to the beach, as the listing describes, just 5 minutes. It was a great beach for the kids and for us. We walked over to Playa Guiones as well. We only explored town a little bit, as the kids were exhausted from the beach every day. The beds were super comfortable. This place has everything you need. Parking spaces are inside a locked gate. Felt very safe. The unit is a duplex (kitchen/living areas share walls), that shares the pool. This worked for us, though I was worried our neighbors wouldn’t totally love our kids being loud, kids and pools, it’s hard not to be noisy. The place next to us was occupied about half of the days we were there, and it worked out. All in all, we had a great time and would not hesitate to stay at Sea Esta again!"

- "My girlfriend and I rented this for our anniversary. The place is just as described, steps from the beach, right next to great taco spots, bars and surf shops. The pool is fantastic. Brayan is a great host, he provided recommendations for food, set up our transportation and coordinated with cleaners to ensure we were able to do laundry. There is a guard that walks the grounds from 5pm-5am which is a great addition although the town seemed very safe either way! I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a great beach spot!"

The property borders the National Park. It is a 1 minute walk directly on our private path to the Pacific Ocean and the best surf location on Playa Guiones.

The Studio has been rented for 12 years and earned 5-stars on the other vacation sites.

The property is well maintained and has a back up water system, AC unit, kitchenette with Refrigerator, fully stocked for cooking. Plenty of hot water, broadband internet via Wi-Fi.

You can't beat the Studio for a reasonable price and a location that is more expensive everywhere place else surrounding it.

We are currently offering a discounted rate already applied since Nosara is a rapidly growing community and we have seen a lot of construction projects go up lately. The property manager is available daily from 8 am to 5 pm and 5 pm to 8 am only for emergencies

While Costa Rica does have many of the conveniences you are accustomed to having at home, navigating a foreign country can feel a bit tricky. For that reason, we’re here to help curate your experience and itinerary to be the best it can be. From booking surf lessons and ATV tours to arranging your rental car or shuttle, to organizing your private chef and massages, we’re here for you.

Security
Nosara is absolutely a wonderful community and we can't wait to share all the good things that it has to offer. We care a great deal about our clients and for that reason, we also want to make you aware of one of the véry few downsides to Nosara: petty theft (they usually are out for your cash and your belongings as in any other tourism area). We would like to understand the dynamics of the group, so we can take care of you, put you in the right house and downsize the chance of you having any issues with this. Please feel free to inquire for more information. If not included, the property manager can arrange a dinner guard at an additional cost. The guest is responsible for securing and protecting their personal belongings and valuables left in and around the Property and for ensuring that all security features available are enabled every time they leave the Property.

Internet and Electricity
In the jungle, the utility infrastructure is unpredictable. There may be power, phone, and/or internet outages and interruptions in service. The Guest should not leave electronics plugged in during rainstorms. There is no guarantee that the Internet will always work. We have an excellent mobile phone signal with Kolbi and data rates are very reasonable. If internet access is always crucial, we encourage you to bring an unlocked phone and get a Kolbi SIM card. Please note that the Homeowner nor the Property Manager has no control over these situations and no refunds or discounts will be offered for outages or interruptions to these services. If there's any problem with the Property, please report it to the Property Manager.

Water
During the dry season months of December through April, the Property may have low water pressure due to temporary or scheduled water outages. This Property has a water reserve tank for Guests during water outages. We will do our best to notify Guests of any interruptions in water service or regularly scheduled water shut-offs.

Jungle creatures
We make every effort to present a well-cleaned home for your arrival. However, it is a jungle out there and nature can move in at any time. The Homeowners and Property Manager are not responsible for the fumigation or removal of insects that may enter the Property during the Guest's stay. Even though the house is regularly fumigated on a maintenance schedule, expect to see ants, beetles, spiders, and other assorted insects year-round. Bugs are especially active during the rainy season, May through November. Every effort is made to present a clean home at Check-In. To minimize the impact of bugs on your vacation, please keep food wrapped, store it in the refrigerator, clean kitchen counters and screen doors closed at all times (particularly at night).

Refunds
No refunds will be given for natural disasters, water outages, internet outages, security breaches, personal property losses, or nearby construction noise. This area is a rapidly growing community. There is no guarantee there will not be construction nearby.

Insurance
We encourage all Guests to purchase Traveler Insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances, accidents, or other issues that may prohibit Guests from travelling or fulfilling Rental terms.

It is literally a 1 minute walk to the beach, located inside the refuge, so you can enjoy nature in the property. It’s a beautiful cozy shipping container apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, each one with AC. WIFI intenet great for working. Also, equipped with kitchen, refrigerator and big outside porch with sofa and dinner table. 10 minute walk to the North Guiones surf beach. Entire apartment, garden and parking. You can walk to the beach and restaurants around. There are Tuk-Tuks instead of taxis for $6 or $8 if you want to go far.

While we honor our cancellation policy, processing fees are non-refundable for guest-initiated cancellations.

Petty theft can occur, so please keep doors locked, valuables secured, and use alarms or security bars when available. A private guard can be arranged upon request.

Even with precautions, theft can happen. Rent Nosara, the homeowner, and the property manager cannot be held responsible for lost items.

Construction Notice:
Nosara is a developing community, and construction or remodeling may be taking place near the property, as well as on the main road in front. While we have adjusted our rates to reflect this, please be aware that construction schedules are beyond our control. Feel free to reach out for more details before booking.

Security Awareness:
Nosara is a wonderful and welcoming community, but as in any tourist area, petty theft can occur. Most incidents involve cash and valuables left unattended. To ensure a secure stay, we assess guest dynamics to recommend the best house for your needs. If additional security is desired, a nighttime security guard can be arranged at an extra cost. Guests are responsible for securing their belongings and using available security features whenever leaving the property.

Internet & Electricity:
Due to the jungle environment, utilities can sometimes be unpredictable, and power, phone, or internet outages may occur. We recommend unplugging electronics during rainstorms. While we provide a strong mobile signal with Kolbi and affordable data rates, internet connectivity is not guaranteed. If reliable internet is essential, consider bringing an unlocked phone and obtaining a Kolbi SIM card. Please note that neither the homeowner nor the property manager has control over outages, and no refunds or discounts will be provided for service interruptions.

Water Supply:
During the dry season (December–April), water pressure may be lower, and temporary or scheduled outages can occur. We will do our best to notify guests of any interruptions.

Jungle Wildlife:
We strive to maintain a clean and comfortable home, but being in the jungle means occasional encounters with insects. Despite regular fumigation, ants, beetles, spiders, and other insects may appear, especially during the rainy season (May–November). To minimize their presence, keep food sealed, store it in the refrigerator, and ensure screen doors remain closed—especially at night.

Refund Policy:
No refunds will be issued for natural disasters, water or internet outages, security concerns, loss of personal property, or nearby construction noise. As this is a rapidly developing community, we cannot guarantee a construction-free environment.

Travel Insurance:
We strongly recommend that guests purchase travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances, accidents, or other issues that may affect their stay.

Other conveniences are a fun coffee shop, gelato and empanada stands and specialty beachwear boutiques. Within a few meters exercise options include yoga studios, surf shops, a gym, and a bike shop. Several friendly bars nearby and many eating options. Expect lively music two to three nights a week usually ending by 10:30 pm.

The space
Studio Gitana is a studio apartment with a full kitchen, queen size bed, and a full-size futon in the living space. The studio is the ground-floor unit of a duplex very close to the North Playa Guiones Beach entrance. It has big windows and is located in a garden setting.

Studio Gitana has a refreshing outdoor shower next to the stairway leading to the upstairs apartment.

Regarding plumbing, please note that the septic system in Nosara does not allow toilet paper to be flushed (with a few exceptions). We kindly ask that you adhere to this guideline during your stay.

We want to ensure that your stay in Nosara is safe and enjoyable. Like many beach communities, petty theft can occasionally be an issue in the area. Your safety and peace of mind are our top priorities, so we kindly ask that you take the following precautions during your stay:
Always keep doors and windows locked when you're away from the property and at night. If your sliding doors or windows have security bars, please ensure they are in place. If you cannot find the bars, contact us as soon as possible.

Never leave valuables or personal items unattended when you leave the house, including electronics, identification, and anything else of apparent value.

Do not leave valuables in your car while you’re out, and avoid leaving anything on your front or back patios unattended.

If your property has a security alarm, always set it when you leave, even for short periods of time.

While a security guard is not included with your rental, we can arrange for one upon request. If you'd like to hire a security guard for part or all of your stay, please let us know during the booking process and specify the hours you'd like covered.

Security
Nosara is absolutely a wonderful community and we can't wait to share all the good things that it has to offer. We would like to understand thedynamics of the group, so we can take care of you, put you in the right houseand downsize the chance of you having any issues with this.Please feel free toinquirefor more information. The guest is responsible for securing and protecting their personal belongings and valuables left in and around the Property and for ensuring that all security features available are enabled every time they leave the Property.

Internet and Electricity
In the jungle, the utility infrastructure is unpredictable. There may be power, phone, and/or internet outages and interruptions in service. The Guest should not leave electronics plugged in during rainstorms. There isno guarantee that the Internet will always work. We have an excellent mobile phone signal with Kolbi and data rates are very reasonable. If internet access always is crucial, we encourage you to bring an unlocked phone and get a Kolbi SIM card.Please note that the Homeowner nor the Property Manager has no control over these situations and no refunds or discounts will be offered for outages or interruptions to these services. If there's any problem with the Property, please report it to the Property Manager.

Water
During the dry season months of December through April, the Property may have low water pressure due to temporary or scheduled water outages. We will do our best to notify Guests of any interruptions in water service or regularly scheduled water shut-offs.

Jungle creatures
We make every effort to present a well-cleaned home for your arrival. However, it isa jungle out there and nature can move in at any time. The Homeowners and Property Manager are not responsible for the fumigation or removal of insects that may enter the Property during the Guest's stay.Even though the house is regularly fumigated on a maintenance schedule, expect to see ants, beetles, spiders, and other assorted insects year-round. Bugs are especially active during the rainy season, May through November. Every effort is made to present a clean home at Check-In. To minimize the impact of bugs on your vacation, please keep food wrapped, store it in the refrigerator, clean kitchen counters and screen doors closed at all times (particularly at night).

Refunds
No refunds will be given for natural disasters, water outages, internet outages, security breaches, personal property losses, or nearby construction noise. This area is a rapidly growing community. There is no guarantee there will not be construction nearby.

Insurance
We encourage all Guests to purchase Traveler Insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances, accidents, or other issues that may prohibit Guests from travelling or fulfilling Rental terms.

Discover Costa Rica’ Pura Vida lifestyle in the charming brand new Lily Pad property. We offer two independent bungalow style studios with covered outdoor patio overlooking the swimming pool and yoga deck. Our lush property Lily Pad Nosara is conveniently located just a short walk from the beach, local restaurants and surf.

Both studios share the swimming pool area and rancho/yoga deck. Each studio has a separate outdoor space with a couch, chairs and string lights.

Other things to note
Cleaning service is provided once a week in the middle of your stay. Fresh towels are provided on cleaning day. Sheets are changed for rentals longer than a week.

Please note, although the property is fully managed by a property management company that can help you with all your needs, we do not have a full time onsite manager or lifeguard. Be aware that the use of the pool and any on-site amenities are at your own risk.

Nice wooden upstairs room in downtown Nosara, main road, 5 km to the beach, with a three minute walking distance to the bus stop, Nosara airport, shops, bars and restaurants. Absolutely safe, with two comfortable double beds, your own entrance, fridge, fan and private bathroom. As the house is directly at the main road there is traffic and therefore some noise, especially Saturday nights. Coffee and laundry service can be offered.

The house is situated in the old part of Nosara at the main road, where mostly locals live. Here you will experience the atmosphere of a typical Costa Rican village. Close enough to tourist attractions such as surfing, horseback riding, canopy tours, kayaking, yoga, hiking, tennis, and quad rentals. Tuctucs are available close by.

This place is perfect for the people who would like to stay really close to the beach and at the same time walk to the restaurants and all the other places you may need to without having to take the car: this is the most animated area of Guiones. It is very central there is some noise from passing cars and evening music from the hotel next door on Wednesdays till 9 pm and Saturdays till 10 pm.

We also live amongst other living beings, which include insects and bugs occasionally being inside the house too! (especially during the rainy season). I try not to use Pest Control with heavy chemicals as each and every creature here has a special purpose and helps to maintain a beautiful, balanced and bio diverse tropical dry forest. We all willingly chose to be in this jungle where these creatures exist. Let’s please respect and allow them to be without disturbing, killing and especially poisoning them! Also, keep in mind that when we use poison of any kind it just moves up the food chain killing all kinds of species as well as running off into the soils and eventually the water table that we drink. 🙏🏽

Opportunistic theft affects all homes in the Nosara area so please be vigilant with your belongings. Please close the doors and all the windows when you leave and put your valuables in the safe situated under the bathroom sink.

Whilst there are no construction work next to the property, construction and home improvement noises can be heard from time to time and are unfortunately part of life in Guiones these days, they are only limited to the daytime.

The space
Our loft apartment is located in a quiet rural area, Santa Teresita de Nosara (Nicoya, Guanacaste, Costa Rica), just 15 or 20 minutes from the sea (Playa Pelada and Playa Guiones are the closest), surrounded by mountains, rivers and nature.

The Indigo 1 loft can accommodate 1 to 3 people. It will offer you at the top of the apartment, the bedroom space that is spacious, with double bed, comfortable mattress with protector for continuous cleaning, pillows, with constant protection and disinfection, always clean sheets and covers, table and night lamp, furniture for your clothes and luggage holder. In addition, in case of what you need, it has a work space that has a desk, chair and desk lamp.

A balcony is accessed from the room as a lounge area, reading area, for coffee, or you can even locate the workspace in this place and develop your work in a nice outdoor space. This space has two chairs for your comfort.

In the common areas, located at the bottom of the apartment, is the living space, dining room, 50-inch smart tv, sofa bed, dining room, kitchen area and full bathroom with shower.

In the kitchen it will have all the necessary utensils to prepare and consume your food: pots, pans, knives, spoons, cutlery, forks, complete crockery, glasses, corkscrew, bottle plaster, pichel, glasses, among others. In addition, all the necessary appliances will be available: refrigerator, ceramic hob insole, rice cooker, microwave oven, toaster oven, electric pan and coffee maker. We will provide a sponge and dishwashing soap.

In the bathroom it will have furniture with a sink, hair dryer, a medicine cabinet, a toilet and a large shower. It will be facilitated: towels (body and hands), hand soap, body soap, shampoo and toilet paper.

Outside there is a pile and shower to remove sand before entering the apartment, the space underneath the apartment is arranged to park your car.

In addition, the loft has air conditioning, high speed internet, access to Max and Netflix.

Important. By the type of construction is entered by means of stands and inside the apartment there are stands to access the bedroom space and the balcony.

Swiss-Japanese host family is attentive and kind but affords guests complete privacy. Walk to the beach 3-5 minutes depending on your speed, where incredible tide pools and white sand awaits. The far end of the beach is great swimming, we ask you watch the tide at the north end, it can be stronger. Perfect sunsets almost guaranteed!

For longer than a one week stay we offer a weekly cleaning and bed linens changing if you wish. Personal laundry can be requested for a reasonable fee.
Although we are a close 3-5 minutes walk away from the ocean (beautiful Pelada beach), we are in midst of a lush jungle garden close to a dense rainforest. That being said, ant activity is normal for such a setting. We do put out ant poison (borax/suger concotion) in order to keep ants in check. We do not have any ant infestations by any stretch of imagination, yet expect to encounter more ants in such a tropical jungle setting than you would in Northern Europe or Alaska for example.

Nosara is truly a magical, remote tropical paradise. Unfortunately we can not guarantee 24/7 electricity, water nor internet, which adds to the charm of being in the „here and now“.

The kitchen and living areas are completely open concept, meaning open to the jungle garden. The unit is completely screened in to avoid moskitos or other insects to come in freely. That said, we kindly ask you to hold live zoom meetings and/or phone calls in the walled in bedroom (with A/C) in order to respect our neighbors and other potential guests at Pura Vida Magic. One of two cleverly designed container studios located in the popular residential community of K Section of Playa Guiones. They are positioned front and back, and each has its own patio facing away from the other unit. The perfect amount of space for one or a couple and a short walk to Baker's Beach, located at the south end of Playa Guiones. If you're looking for a little surf getaway, these are the perfect option.

The space
Both units have a queen bed in the loft and a murphy bed (double) downstairs to accommodate up to four guests per unit. The units do have identical layout and amenities, so if one unit is not available for your dates, please check the other.

There are also two 2 bedroom apartments located on the property. (Casa Swell C and D)

A small pool is on the property and shared by all occupants of Casa Swell, A, B, C and D.

Property has a backup water tank that services all four units to help with water outages during dry season.

NOTE: The washing machine and dryer are shared amenities with Casa Swell A. Please be considerate of others when doing laundry. Owner and property manager are not responsible for the loss of items left unattended in the washing machine or dryer.

We consider it part of the fun of experiencing another country and culture. All of these issues are beyond the control of the homeowner and the management company and may come without advance notice. If having internet access is imperative during your visit, we recommend you research internet data plans available to you through your cellular provider. The Playa Guiones, Playa Pelada and surrounding areas of Nosara are rapidly growing communities. As such, much of the area will have noise from construction typically between the hours of 6am and 5pm. We do our best to update our properties impacted by construction, however, we are not always provided advance notice of a project. The septic system in the Nosara area does not permit flushing of toilet paper with few exceptions. If you have any questions at all, please contact us in advance of booking your stay as refunds and concessions will not be given for any of the reasons above as they are beyond the control of the homeowner and property manager. Do not leave any valuables or personal items out when you leave the house. This includes electronics, identification documents and anything else of apparent monetary value.

Do not leave valuables in your car when you are out and about.

Do not leave anything unattended on your front or back patios.

Always set the security alarm when you leave the property, even if it is for a short time.

While the presence of a security guard is not included with your rental, we would be happy to outsource a security guard for your stay. Please let us know during the initial booking process if you would like a hired guard and the hours you would like covered. The Rental Party is responsible for any transaction fees that might take place during a wire transfer.

Do not flush toilet paper or any other paper products in the toilet. A bin will be present in the bathrooms for disposal of all paper products. This is due to the septic system in the Nosara area and not specific to the property you are renting.

Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Any and all damage caused by Rental Party or excessive cleaning required is to be taken from the damage deposit. If the damage deposit does not cover total cost of damages, Rental Party is responsible for making payment for the difference.

Home and property are privately owned; the Owner(s) and Manager(s) are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Owner(s) are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.

Rental Party understands that they may experience power outages, water outages, internet failures and dust during their stay. Additionally, the Nosara region is undergoing a growth phase resulting in an increase in construction. It is likely you will experience construction noise during your stay. The presence of insects in a home is not uncommon with the environment in Costa Rica. Owner and Manager(s) are not responsible beyond what they cannot control. If you have any concerns, contact Manager prior to booking.

Check in time is between the hours of 4PM and 9PM. Any arrival after 9PM will result in a $100 late check in fee. Late checkout may be available by request. Requests must be received by the Rent Nosara group chat 24 hours in advance of your designated checkout day and time. Any guest who stays beyond the designated departure time without prior approval will forfeit their deposit. No exceptions. Thank you for helping us timely prepare the home for the next arrival.

Smoking is NOT allowed inside any unit. Smoking is allowed outside only.

People other than those in the guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest.

Only use appliances for their intended uses.

Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only.

Bathroom towels from the home are not to be taken to the beach.

Keys: Rental Party agrees to return all keys immediately upon checkout. Failure to do so will result in a $150 charge.

This cute casita is only a few mins walk from the north Guiones beach entrance and a stone's throw to all the restaurants in North Guiones, yet tucked away down a little lane so it provides some calm and quiet from the busy main road. The studio has AC, lil kitchen, and is surrounded by a very secure perimeter gate with its own private entrance. The wifi is excellent and the vibe is great. Trees surround the property and monkeys are regular visitors, as are iguanas and lots of beautiful birds.

The space
Small and cute with a unique Spanish Colonial touch. It was converted from an old garage and still has the vintage garage door which looks to be from the 1700s.

Guest access
The courtyard outside the entrance is a great little spot to chill after a surf. Watch iguanas and monkeys in the trees above.

Other things to note
Petty theft and break-ins happen occasionally in Nosara. Eventhough I had the perimeter wall made extra secure with a very spiky top to it, I always make sure to tell guests that it's a good idea to hide valuables and lock your doors. We also have perimeter cameras, and I'm happy to say all the security measures have prevented any problems.
