We hired a tuk tuk driver for a couple of occasions but that was easy as can be. The beds are comfortable and the wifi connection is great (I had to have some virtual calls for work during my stay and had zero issues). If you are looking for an intimate stay that feels more local and less resort with the same comforts and more, this is the spot for you. We left feeling very inspired and taken care of. Thank you!"

- "Wow! My wife and I stayed here right after they opened, and we were so impressed. First, it's LUX. I've never experienced anything like it in Costa Rica. Everything is high-end, and no detail was spared when they built and appointed this place. The rooms are beautiful with the custom wood and stone work, the furnishings are mostly imported from Bali and it sets a great vibe. The beds are super comfortable (and bonus for the pillows, my wife has already purchased the same for our home in LA. With the imported linens, plush towels, high-end appliances (each room is a two-bedroom suite with a fully stocked kitchen), and decor - the rooms are just impressive. We stayed in a ground-floor suite with a barrel sauna and cold plunge - it was amazing to have the cold plunge in hot and humid Costa Rica! The huge patio area also had an outdoor grill and smoker! The rooftop pool and bar are chic yet comfortable, with plenty of space to lounge or work. I'm a coffee/espresso snob and I was pleased, they have great setup and great barista. It's cool to be in the treetops while lounging by the pool or working (excellent WiFi). The staff was friendly (as is the norm in Costa Rica; Tico's are the best!) and helpful. Cesar made reservations for us at El Coyol and was always a text away for anything we needed. Becca was also great. Best of all - Silvestre is just steps from the beach with one of the best surf breaks in the world. Nosara is amazing, and you cannot go wrong staying here."

I showed up early and he kindly let me store my bags in a safe place while I went surfing and waited until it was time to check in. He is a very fun, laid back guy that made me feel right at home. I really appreciated the fact that my room had a good working AC unit and a comforter on the bed. Most places I’ve stayed in Costa Rica only supply a thin bed sheet. The room was clean and cozy. I slept great! The next person I met was Brian the pizza chef. He gave me a fist bump and had a big smile. I really liked talking to him. His Pizza skills are excellent. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. And finally the other person I really appreciated while staying there was the other David. Not sure of his exact job title but he seemed to do a little bit of everything. He made me several great cups of coffee, he took my food orders, he called me a shuttle to Tamarindo when I was leaving. He was a solid dude and I could tell he had a strong work ethic and cared about the guests experience. I will definitely be staying there again next time I’m in Nosara. "

Our room was very comfortable and a perfect size for our family. The staff is so friendly and attentive, and the food at Al Chile is fresh, delicious and nourishing. And reasonably priced. We so enjoyed our daily breakfasts and lunches. We also appreciate that the road is paved by the Sunset Shack as it keeps the dust down as compared to other places in the area. We loved relaxing by the pool and drinking fresh juice in between our surf sessions. Definitely make dinner reservations for every evening of your stay during busy times. - "We had a wonderful 4nights at Nomadic. The property is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. This boutique hotel is just the right size for an intimate feel. Really enjoyed the daily yoga, especially the subbed class with Emma who was wonderful. The complimentary breakfast is nice and very fresh, but note they have a rotating menu and only one option per day with no variations. Our only negative is that the coffee is very very weak. The location is perfect with a trail right next to the hotel that provides a shaded short cut to the popular main street. The common area around the pool is beautiful and Destiny, the restaurant, is absolutely delicious (get the poke bowl, monkey coffee, and a cucumber margarita). Our server Melanie was the absolute sweetest, Isabel the manager was so kind, helpful and responsive, and Marian the groundskeeper was funny and so friendly! Best part - Playa Guiones is literally a 2 minute walk from the hotel on a little path thru the trees. Super quiet and relaxing, even with a very busy restaurant on the property. Isabel gave us great recommendations for nearby restaurants for dinner (Pacifica Azul and Howler’s) which were both delicious. Will absolutely be back next time we come to Nosara and felt it was a good price (especially considering the prices of nearby hotels and that it’s closer to the beach than any of them)! Pura vida!"

The only negative is that the roads are unpaved and can be rough or muddy during the rainy season but after the first day a seasoned traveler adjusts their footwear or transportation accordingly. They have everything you might need for a short or extended stay, with A/C, cable TV, equipped kitchen, safe, and a small washing machine. Offsite hosts were very attentive and available for any questions or concerns. The property and parking is secure behind a locked fence. We had a car, so getting around was not an issue, but it is a bit far to be a walkable property. The hosts, I'm sure could advise on local taxis and transportation options if needed. We were very happy with our stay here and would definitely stay here again. Definitely recommend!"

" - "The villas are really nice, but the Expedia description was inaccurate, communications were a problem, and the property sign had been temporarily removed making it very difficult to find! (There is no direct beach access and the site restaurant and coffee shop were not available for morning coffee. It is not so much a hotel as luxury apartments for rent.) Fortunately the property manager responded to our complaints and gave us a voucher for a second try at a later date. Hopefully they will have the kinks worked out by then. "

- "Great place to stay " - "The folks at Green Sanctuary are lovely and efficient. The young woman who greeted us at 6pm was helpful and kind. Breakfast was amazing!!! I had the Tico Special and it was huge and delicious. The only downside is the construction happening a few feet away on the other side of the wall which divides the property. Constant banging metal and drilling from 7am onwards. The Green Sanctuary folks have created a sweet and reasonably priced oasis, converting shipping containers into rooms, and sadly, with the overdevelopment currently happening in this area, their oasis sounds like a construction zone during the day. I feel very sorry that this is happening as their patch is beautifully maintained and managed. "

Staff was friendly & helpful and they have a lot of regular activities which would make this place better suited to a younger crowd. included salsa dancing, reggae or disco dance nights, etc. Food is average for the area. resort is a little isolated compared to both Guiones and Pelada beaches. Good, quiet business center. couldnt find 1 spoon in the large common kitchen. pretty basic."

- "Cute little hotel with a nice pool and friendly staff. " - "The whole staff was friendly and very helpful! Great location, as it's a quick walk to Playa Guiones and many restaurants. The hotel is very cute and well decorated and most importantly, clean and comfortable. The bathroom has no door, so make sure youre very comfortable around whoever youre traveling with. Lol! I was staying with my best friend so it wasn't a problem for us. The staff was up front about it and they did say they are still working on getting doors installed. I believe it is a fairly new hotel. I really enjoyed it. I would definitely stay here again if I ever came back to Nosara. "
