We offer a small cosy self contained space, suitable for a single or couple. Not well set up for kids or pets.
The location is fantastic, walking distance (2 mins ) to the beach and village ( 10 mins).
There are several other walks nearby. More tourist information can be attained from the nearby tourist centre.
The apartment has a comfortable front deck. Luxurious king sized bed and a well equipped kitchen, with a medium sized fridge. Close to road, but traffic not bad, quiet at night . We live in a separate house behind, we are not always there. There are a set of steps up to the living area. There is undercover parking space for a small car. WiFi and smart TV available.

We love the natural environment and have attempted to use the colours and objects of nature to create the relaxed atmosphere of the Green Haven space. This is cassowary country and we recommend you go to the Cassowary Display at the C4 Environment Centre nearby and learn more about these magnificent creatures.

Many overseas travelers are concerned by bugs and insects, Biting insects are not too bad here and the apartment is fully screened, with coils and spays available if you wish to use them.

The slow monday backs onto a protected cassowary corridor with a maintained walking/bike track just 700m to the beach. If you follow this path and take a left at the beach you will find yourself in Mission Beach town centre where you can stock up on supplies, grab a coffee, or take in the beach view while you enjoy your glass wine or locally brewed beer.

While we personally prefer the quiet life, Mission beach offers everything from nature walks to adrenalin sports so there is no shortage of things to do.

Getting Around:
Mission Beach is a 1.5hr drive from Cairns Airport. There are a few car hire companies and transfer companies that operate from the airport. There are also two bus companies that we can recommend to get you to Mission Beach: Greyhound or Mission Beach Link.

We have provided two bikes and we are a short walk into the centre of town, so once you arrive you can park your car in the carport for your entire stay if you like.

Other Things to Note:
The house backs onto a maintained public walking/bike track that will take you along a protected cassowary corridor just 750m to the beach.

If you follow this path and take a left at the beach you will find yourself in Mission Beach town centre where you can stock up on supplies, grab a coffee, or take in the beach-view while you enjoy your glass wine or locally brewed beer.

The house itself embraces the outdoors by having two seperate buildings and an outdoor deck that connects the living space from the bedroom and bathroom.

The spacious kitchen is perfect for preparing meals, while the inviting leather lounge, complete with an A-frame smart TV and Starlink Wi-Fi, ensures that entertainment is always within reach.

The apartment is known as the Red Tulip Oak, fun fact, is celebrated for its ornamental beauty, resembling the Silky Oak. When cut at a specific angle, it reveals an attractive ‘water wave’ pattern. Historically, this wood was used for house battens and roof shingles, although it was prone to wood borer attacks and often treated with a Boric acid solution.

The Space:
The apartment is one of eight in the boutique Beachhouse Apartments complex, right in the heart of Mission Beach Village; the position of choice for enjoying sea views and strolling to the local cafes and restaurants.

On the first floor of the apartment you'll find two living areas, the dining area and kitchen. The main lounge room has sliding doors that lead you out to a private balcony - perfect for enjoying the ocean views and meals outside. The second living area is just off the main door with the kitchen, a bathroom and laundry between.

Upstairs you will find three bedrooms - the main bedroom has a private balcony over looking the ocean with a private ensuite and spa. The second and third bedrooms share the main bathroom with the second bedroom having a private balcony overlooking the front garden and pool area.
