- "This property location is great. You can walk just past the pool to the awesome beach. That said, I would probably not stay here again. I had to make two requests before getting entry instructions. I have always had these sent without request . When we arrived the towels were dirty, the dishes were not clean and there was open food left in the refrigerator. Worst of all, the main bed was NOT a King as originally advertised (this has now been changed after WE let them know). The Property Management Group did reimburse us one night due to this error. The other main issue with the unit (in a small unit complex) is that there are NO bug/insect screens on the windows. This includes the slat style shutters that when open to get any breeze, basically make it an "outdoor" space. That would be OK if the shutters/windows closed all the way, but many do not leaving it open for insects to get in. I had to kill many spiders, moths, ants, mosquitoes, and even a dragon fly that got through the windows. Ants are an issue if any food is left out. The overall property also had some issues. There were a number of points around the unit that had some obvious dry rot of wood that needs to be replaced and the deck rail was cracked with mold growing in several spots. Although the property managers were responsive, it is evident that this is not a "loved" unit/property. Hopefully issues will get resolved as this would be a fabulous place to stay if maintained and equipped properly."

Guest Access:
Guest will have exclusive use of the entire house, garden and pool during their stay. There is one room which is locked for storage.

The Neighborhood:
The slow monday backs onto a protected cassowary corridor with a maintained walking/bike track just 700m to the beach. If you follow this path and take a left at the beach you will find yourself in Mission Beach town centre where you can stock up on supplies, grab a coffee, or take in the beach view while you enjoy your glass wine or locally brewed beer.

While we personally prefer the quiet life, Mission beach offers everything from nature walks to adrenalin sports so there is no shortage of things to do.

Getting Around:
Mission Beach is a 1.5hr drive from Cairns Airport. There are a few car hire companies and transfer companies that operate from the airport. There are also two bus companies that we can recommend to get you to Mission Beach: Greyhound or Mission Beach Link.

We have provided two bikes and we are a short walk into the centre of town, so once you arrive you can park your car in the carport for your entire stay if you like.

Other Things to Note:
The house backs onto a maintained public walking/bike track that will take you along a protected cassowary corridor just 750m to the beach.

If you follow this path and take a left at the beach you will find yourself in Mission Beach town centre where you can stock up on supplies, grab a coffee, or take in the beach-view while you enjoy your glass wine or locally brewed beer.

The house itself embraces the outdoors by having two seperate buildings and an outdoor deck that connects the living space from the bedroom and bathroom.

Interaction with Guests:
The slow monday is all yours. We won't be there to greet you as we want your stay to be private, but we will be on call at all times should you need anything.

You have the option of Our split level tastefully furnished one bedroom apartment sits in front of the main buildings.

The kitchen and lounge area flow onto a private outdoor patio. Upstairs a king bed dominates the bedroom with views of the Coral Sea. The bathroom and laundry are located upstairs, as well as a terrace where you can relax the day away, enjoying uninterrupted views across the beach to Dunk Island. Access to the first floor is via a spiral staircase, and is therefore not suitable for guests with limited mobility.

All kitchens are equipped with everything you'll need to make your holiday as relaxing as possible, and to stock up, Woolworth's is just a 5 minute drive away.
