- "Reef Resort Villas is an excellent place to stay in Port Douglas. The Villas are large (two bedroom), clean, self-contained (including two bathrooms and a well equipped laundry) and have a 'wow factor'. Everything required was provided in a fully equipped kitchen; the lounge was comfortably furnished and included a large screen smart TV and excellent Audio system; and the beds were comfortable with good linen. Staff at reception were most helpful. The grounds were pleasant and included a beautiful pool. An on-call shuttle (5-7 minute delay between calling and arrival) service was cost effective to travel to- and from- town, where all necessary shops, cafes and restaurants were available. Tour operators pick you up from your door. That the Villa was not serviced daily was not an issue, and the 'Restaurant' on site is more a limited-range cafe. Food was available by delivery, but with the excellent kitchen, buying groceries and cooking for yourself works well. For excellent dining options, two restaurants in Port Douglas stand out: Salsa and Melaleuca, both on Wharf Street. Both these offer fine food and service, but while prices were at the top end, they were not excessive. The best coffee in Part Douglas is from Origin Espresso on Grant Street. You will really enjoy Port Douglas and a stay with Reef Villas Resort."

- "Our spa room on the second floor overlooked one of the four swimming pools. Although the room itself was compact with little space for luggage, the large balcony with outdoor spa, table and chairs provided a sense of space. The large bathroom provided a walk-in shower, toilet and wide wash basin and cabinet. The kitchenette was equipped with a microwave, expresso machine, toaster and kettle plus glassware, china and cutlery for 2 people. The room was easily accessible by lift from the basement carpark. The location of the hotel is within easy walking of the beach, shops and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. "

- "We enjoyed our stay at Villa San Michelle. For the price, the quality was great. We asked for a private, quiet apartment and it was delivered. The apartment was tastefully renovated and clean. There was a problem with the bedroom aircon but it was tended to quickly. There was a dishwasher convection microwave and stovetop, which was pleasing. The shower was lovely and nice private small courtyard. The pool was shaded and the other in the sun, which was good. We would recommend Villa San Michelle to our friends and family."
